Last year I was given a bag of wool from a colleague who didn't want it. In the bag was the set of a crochet Koala bear, and I've finally finished it. It wasn't a a bad pattern though I gave up on the frills that was were meant to go on the edges of the ears. After two hours of trying to follow the instructions and fighting with the wool, I realised it wasn't worth it. Thankfully the bear is still super cute.
Meet Button the Koala! 🐨
My latest lockdown projects.
(the flowers for the cushion were made last year but i finally finished the project this evening.)
The sloth is called Sammi and it only took a day and a half to make her, which surprised me.
The hat is for a friend that I need to send off.
The cushion is for my sofa. It's a bit tight now but the last one has stretched and flattened with use, so I'm hoping it'll fit perfectly in a few months.
Star Trek Qpid vinyl stickers only a small number left available on my Etsy Pop art, vinyl stickers inspired by Qpid episode. All of my stickers come nicely rapped in complete eco friendly packaging, including biodigradeable plastic. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LuminousDaxCreations
Spent the afternoon painting with my husband. He loves Warhammer, especially painting the models, and there were one he didn't mind me having a go with. This little mine is the result of my efforts.
Stay at home gnomes
My latest project is complete. A gift from my Mum for Christmas. I learnt some new techniques and really enjoyed seeing them one come together, even if sewing in all the ends was a bit tedious. I think they are meant to be a little fatter than I made them, but I felt like any more stuffing would have been to much.
I love the way heart turned out on the apron. I will definitely be using the duplicate stitch method in the future as it is so simple and works so well.
This pair now resides on Tracy Island, where the rock can hold up them up, as they are top heavy and can't stand up on their own.
It's strange times all round and after whumptober I've gone back to my favourite relaxing past time: knitting and crochet.
With lockdown meaning I can't do much else, it's become my nightly activity. Great way to get my mind off the stresses of work and slowly make a dent in the massive pile of wool that needs using up.
These are my latest completed projects, mostly done when I had to quarantine for a few days.
Two hats for colleague's children, a shopping bag (new pattern, a little smaller than I expected it but I'm thinking of possibly editing the pattern to make it bigger. Might make a nice Christmas present for someone) and another cushion cover.
My latest lockdown projects. Knitted after work as a way to relax and de-stress. I unravelled an unfinished project that I started 5 years ago and realised was a little beyond my ability. Now it's something new I can finally wear! I also found out the sex of a colleague's baby and couldn't help myself in making a little set for them.
