I totally forgot to post this gift of a child I made for @lofijotaro‘s monster themed DnD campaign they’re in. I would die for this mushroom man.

My art analysis says you watched a LOT of Disney movies as a kid, and maybe Ariel was one of your faves.
Very correct on that first half! I pretty much ignored anything that wasn’t a cartoon and had a strong preference for Disney lol.
Ariel is great, but Lilo and Stitch sits strongly as my favorite “classic” Disney film!
@lofijotaro
Haha I’m glad
He’s actually a newish character that started as a joke to go along with one of my current mains but has really grown into his own. Tbh I had a hard time thinking of why he’d ever go adventuring as his character was “wacky x-files alchemist who has health problems” but not like, a reason.
Until I came up with an important element of my boy Byron’s backstory (the Liarhart elf mafia) and realized how well it synergized with the already present “wizard dust addicted college town” lore I had for Donum. Add a pinch of Breaking Bad and boom. Our boy (redacted name) has some edge in his backstory and a reason to be with dangerous adventurers. He’s my current backup if something happens to Phiamia lol.
P.S. don’t get me started on Elves and Domestication Syndrome
Y'know what, judge me Lalna
bitch. you’re a bitch.
first off, definitely invalid since this character is the youtube minecraft roleplay persona of a real fucking person. like, yeah, it’s a degree of separation away, but it’s too damn close to the cringe line.
secondly: you kin with a blonde scientist? a science man? the stereotypical all-too-common “crazy mad scientist with secrets who blows shit up”? the edgy lab? the edgy fact that you have clones and “oh no am i the real me or not” and “oh no there’s a clone cOVERED in bLOOD!!!” mother fuck.
god i’d do more specifics but like i can’t remember shit from 2015 and also the wiki page is horribly barren. like, apparently the wiki editors didn’t even care enough to characterize the character.
cons: too close to a real person, mad scientist, killed cats several times and sometimes accidentally, forgetful (locked dying apprentice in a fucking tower), morally questionable. source that’s been cringy for a few years so you’ve had to separate the characters from the actors and run with it.
pros: often drawn as chubby. kind of a good boy? very Aesthetic.
conclusion: naw babe. sorry. not great
sentence: shadow of israphel part 43
🖊 infodump to me about Phia's hubby brah
Byron Lyreheart! He actually doesn’t have a set design so take this doodle with a grain of salt.
Byron is a very go with the flow sort of elf. He came from a family of wanderers, and a wanderer he stayed. He blew into Phiamia’s town often, as it was a great source of song inspiration and the whimsical residents always amused him. His biggest passion was children. He was unsure if he could settle down to have some, but entertaining them seemed to be enough.
Phiamia actually used to be a bit of a stuffy scholar before Byron helped her let her passions run free. They met in town square. Byron was performing for a crowd and decided to get the elf in the back to have some fun for once. It was a spur of the moment interaction. They kept meeting in private, due to Phiamia’s father’s disapproval. Until Byron finally proposed and asked her to join him and explore the world. She said yes and they bid the town goodbye to follow the breeze.
Byron’s instrument of choice is the Lyre. His songs tend to be upbeat and bouncy, but as a self respecting bard he could pull out a heartfelt ballad every now and then. He was trusting, almost too trusting. In any situation he would assume friend until proven otherwise. He was an excellent people person, and often did most of the talking during shows. He had an affinity to embellishing his personal objects with paints, buttons, gems, you name it. Phiamia jokes he was like a crow with his affinity for shiny things.
Byron has a lot of time on his hands nowadays. Lot’s of time to think, that is, being cursed and turned into a puppet in an often dark treasury. He often tries to think of songs to fill the time. He thinks of songs about birds, about trees, about sunlight, about his wife. He has an itch on his nose that’s getting really annoying.
