About Bunny, I
“Oh, hey there, Honorary Knight! How can I—? Hm? What’s that? You ran into Bunny, you say? And she told you she wanted to see me? Heh, sounds like her. Well, sorry to cut this conversation short, but I’m gonna get going. I don’t like to keep my princess waiting.”
About Getting Together
“She’s taken. Huh? You’re saying you don’t have any interest in her? You just wanna know how we got together? Eh…I dunno if I believe you.”
About Relationship Length
“Why’re you asking? You’re not trying to make a move on my Bun, are ya? I’ve got some new poisons from my time in Nod-Krai that I’d love to test, so if you keep asking me things like that, you might want to watch your drinks.”
About Future Plans
“My future’s her. That’s all you need to know.”
About His Ring, I
“Asking about my ring, huh? This is a promise ring. Bun’s got the match to it on her left, and I’ve got mine on my right. That way, whenever we hold hands, our rings touch. Not to brag or anything, but it’s kind of an awesome feeling.”
About Differences
“Mm, yeah, I get that all the time. ‘Vice Captain Lohen, you’re so violent and your girlfriend’s so sweet! Did you threaten her into dating you?’ People learned to stop saying the last part after I made up a new special training.”
About Bunny, II
“Hey, Honorary Knight. What’s that? I sound kinda down today? Well, I guess I’m a little bummed. Bun’s obsessed with this fantasy novel, and her favorite author’s doing a book signing in Inazuma. She’s going all that way, just for one signature! And she told me not to request leave, because she wants us to go on vacation this Summer! So I’m stuck here while she’s on her way there, and it’s driving me crazy not knowing if she’s safe or not. (…) Inazuma’s a safe country, you say? Maybe for you and me, but Bun can’t fight, so I’m worried fuckin’ sick. Pardon my French.”
About Fear
“No, she’s not scared of me. Why would she be? (…) Haha! You think I’d ever point a weapon at my girlfriend? I only get rid of the trash that needs cleaning up, and she understands that. Sure, her vision’s basically useless to her, but one good slap from her sets my shit preeetty straight. Man, I sure hope she smacks me around tonight…heh-heh.”
About Sex
“You wanna die, Honorary Knight?"
About His Ring, II
“Why’s it on my pointer finger? Well, that’s ’cause it’s my trigger finger. Whenever I shoot someone, it kinda feels like Bun’s shooting ‘em with me. Haha! It’s super romantic.”
About Pranks
“No, no, no—I don’t poison Bun. I mean, I slip a teensy weensy amount of it into her meals every now and then, just to help her build some tolerance, but I’d never outright poison her. If I’m gonna mess with her, I’ll usually just rage bait her until she starts beating on me. Oh—or I’ll tickle her until she starts crying! She’s so freakin’ cute when she’s in tears like that, heh-heh. (…) Huh? What’s so weird about that?”
About Love
“Yeah, she’s the love of my life. What’s it matter to you, exactly? (…) You…think we’re cute together? Oh, uh…well. Hm. Wasn’t expecting you to say that, honestly. Uh…thanks…I guess? I don’t really, uh…know what to say to that. (...) Huh? Pft—no! No, I’m not embarrassed! No, not at all! A-anyway, I gotta go do paperwork or something, so…! I’ll see you later, Honorary Knight!”
a/n: OH MAN THIS IS SO SELF-INDULGENT, but hopefully you guys will still like it! i get a little embarrassed with stuff like this cause i feel like it's silly, but if you guys like it, i may do more "voiceline" style content in the future! i was interested in doing a "lumine" version of this, because i feel like lohen may answer her a bit differently than he would aether, haha.

Lohen was not a jealous man.
“Here’s the book you asked for, Theo,” you said as you passed him a thick medical textbook from behind the counter. “Please return it by the fifth of next month.”
From his perch against the southern bookcases, Lohen watched you with his arms crossed over his chest. In his right hand, he held his favorite blade, twirling it around his finger until the hilt pressed into his palm, then twirling it around again. The soft sound of his knife hitting the fabric of his glove was quick to fill the space around him, which had returned to near silence yet again after Theodore’s departure.
You walked past him with a stack of books in your hands, giving him a glance. “Can you put that away, please?”
He sighed through his nose. Slotting his dagger back into its sheath, he pouted dejectedly at your back. You didn’t pay him a shred of attention, instead focusing on your duties of restocking the bookshelves and rearranging any misplaced codices.
Lohen sighed aloud. When you still didn’t turn around, he sighed yet again. Sighing so hard and so repetitively that he was nearly going dizzy from it, you eventually turned around with a smile that didn’t match the glare in your eyes.
“What is it, Lohen?”
Lohen. It was always ‘Lohen’ with you. But with Theodore, it was ‘Theo’.
“Nothing,” he said, his shoulders rising in a shrug. “Nothing at all.”
You stared at him for a moment, then eventually frowned. Your voice was gentle. “You look upset.”
“Upset? I’m not upset.” Lohen shrugged again, glaring down at the wood floor. “What would make you think I’m upset?”
Your hands directed his face to yours. He ignored the flush of warmth that it sent through his cheeks, and tried further to ignore the sudden thrill in his chest. When you smiled, he swallowed his nerves.
“What’s wrong?” you asked softly.
“N-nothing,” he answered, his hands rising to your wrists. “It’s nothing, really. I’m fine.”
“If you were fine you would have been using your cryo-infused hand to scare me when my back was turned,” you laughed. Softening your voice, you said, “Please, just talk to me. I don’t want you to be upset, Lohen.”
The way your thumbs brushed over his cheeks felt all too tender. Smiling rather awkwardly, he squeezed your wrists between his fingers.
“We started at ‘Vice Captain’,” he said, “and then we got to ‘Lohen’. But we never got much farther past that.”
“Hm? What do you mean?”
“Theodore. Theodore is ‘Theo’. But me? I’m ‘Lohen’.”
“Well, that’s your—...oh,” you said inquisitively, your eyes widening. “I see what you mean. You want me to give you a nickname?”
“It doesn’t…have to be a nickname,” he babbled, feeling oddly out of his element as he did. “I mean, I call you Bun and Princess. But you only ever call me ‘Lohen’, even though I know you call other people shorter names and stuff.”
“I’ll call you whatever you want me to, Lohen. How does handsome sound?”
Your arms looped around his neck, and as you smiled with those half-lidded eyes of yours, Lohen’s nervous laughter burst from his lips. Staring at you with wide eyes and a face so hot, he was convinced his vision had flipped to pyro, he quickly said, “That’s a lot more embarrassing than I thought it would be.”
“Hm?” You tilted your head, staring down at his mouth as you grinned. “What, you don’t like that, sweetheart?”
“Fuck,” Lohen stammered, his eyes shifting around the library. “Bun, quit.”
“But honey,” you purred, the heat of your breath tickling his upper lip. “You’re the one who wanted me to call you something different. You mean you don’t like it?”
“I’m gonna kill you,” he answered, his grin hurting his face. “Stop it.”
“Oh, but, baby. You look like you like it.”
“Let’s just…let’s just go back to Lohen.”
You laughed, and with a chaste press of your mouth to his, he laughed back. He glanced around once more, ensuring the library was as empty as ever before throwing his arms around your hips. Backing you into the bookshelf, his grinning lips pressed against yours before he gave you a playful little nibble.
“I’m working,” you laughed.
“Take a five minute break,” he crooned.
“Vice Captain,” you murmured. “You’re going to get me in trouble.”
“Oh, yeah? That so, library girl?”
The way you giggled tickled his ears. He pressed his lips to your cheek, peppering kisses against the corner of your mouth as you laughed and laughed and laughed.
“Lohen,” you said, ever so dearly. “You know I just like the sound of your name, right?”
He cracked a smile.
“You know, whenever you say it, Bun…I like the sound of it too.”

Lohen had a bad habit of leaving you littered in kiss marks.
“Please don’t,” you said when he lowered his mouth to your neck. “It’s too hot these days for me to wear a scarf to work tomorrow.”
“Hm?” His teeth grazed you, light but certainly not disinterested. “Then just don’t wear one.”
“If you give me a hickey, I have to wear one.”
“No you don’t.”
“Yes, I do! I can’t show up to work with a hickey!”
“Since when is that against the rules?” he asked, the rumble of his voice tickling your throat. “Who’s gonna fire you? Lisa?”
“It’s not that I’ll get fired,” you insisted, “but that it would be extremely embarrassing if anyone saw it!”
Lohen laughed, and the thrill it sent through you made your heart skip a beat. Fingers curled around your hips, he pressed you further into the wall behind you, his tongue playfully licking your collarbone. Your hands grasped his shoulders, and when he kissed the corner of your jaw, you felt heat bathe your cheeks.
“What’s so embarrassing about a hickey? We’ve done way worse than that in the library, anyway. Don’t recall you complaining about that.”
“I…that’s not the point.” You swallowed hard. “Just don’t bite. Okay?”
“Hm…but I like biting.”
You sighed. “I know you do.”
“Fine,” he answered. You could feel his smile in the pit of your neck. “Nothing on your neck.”
You raised an eyebrow. It wasn’t like him to give up so easily—especially not when it came to leaving your throat spotted with him.
His lips pressed chastely to your collar, surprising you with his level of restraint. Relaxing into him, you closed your eyes and let the pleasure of his kisses wash over you.
“You smell good,” he purred. “You been making perfumes in Millhaven again?”
You smiled. “The Windrest Flowers are blooming really well this year. Lilian and I worked really hard on a new batch of—ow!”
Your shoulders flinched in conjunction with your loud yelp. Lohen’s teeth lifted from the exposed portion of your chest, his giggles filling your ears. When you looked down, you saw a ring of darkness on your cleavage, right where his obnoxious mouth had been. He curled his arms around your hips, pulling you against him when you started to struggle, and laughed, “Why are you mad? It wasn’t your neck!”
“Do you know how hot it is in that library?!” you whined, your fists pounding against his shoulders. “Now I have to cover up tomorrow!”
“You’re so freakin’ modest,” Lohen purred into your ear. “Don’t want anyone knowing you get your tits sucked?”
“Oh, yes, Lohen,” you spat, “I love letting everyone who comes in for a book know that I get my tits sucked!”
“Ha! You’ll make me blush, Bun.”
“Ugh! Can’t you listen to me for once?!”
“But, Bun,” he whined playfully. “You just said your neck.”
You smiled, your brows furrowed and twitching with irritation. Nails digging into the shoulders of his coat, you said, “I’m not having sex with you.”
“Huh?” He stood upright, blinking rapidly. “Wait, hold on. Let’s not be rash, yeah? It was a joke in poor taste, I confess.”
“You’re sleeping on the couch,” you said sternly.
“I am so, so, sooo sorry,” Lohen said quickly, shaking his head rapidly. “My lady, I have slighted you! Forgive a reckless young knight for his deplorable behavior—please!”
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn't help a smile. He pecked your cheek repeatedly, saying, “Sorry, sorry, sorry, so sorry, Princess. Punch me if you want. If it’d make you feel better.”
“I’ll punch you,” you said, “but I’m still not sleeping with you.”
“Fuck.”
“It’s about time you learned to listen.”
“I don’t know if I like this whole ‘consequences’ thing. Can’t we go back to what we were doing before?”
You laughed, shaking your head. “I’ve been too lenient with you. I’m sure we can find something else to do tonight.”
“But I was looking forward to it,” he mumbled, plopping his chin onto your shoulder. “I was gonna eat your ass.”
You froze. The thought of Lohen’s mouth, licking away at you from behind, shot into your mind like an arrow. You could practically feel those cold hands of his, squeezing into your ass and pushing you open for him, giving him enough access to lave his hot tongue across your sensitive inner ridges.
Quiet, you drummed your fingers against his shoulders. You glanced up at the ceiling. Cleared your throat.
“Well. I guess I can forgive you this once.”
He immediately burst out into laughter. His hands clapped around your skirt, groping you, and with a playful growl, he said, “Come here then, pretty girl.”
When his lips pressed to your neck, sucking hard enough to leave a mark, you sighed. Smiling still, you would tolerate it for now. After all, you knew the payout was going to be far more than worth it.

The first time you held Lohen’s hand, he had nearly jumped out of his own skin, his face turning redder than the center of his sweet eyes. It was fascinating to see the infamous Vice Captain of the 5th Company turn so undone under your touch, which held not even a candle to the harshest of blows. Whenever you watched him charge into spars with his comrades, he seemed nigh invincible, but whenever you laced your fingers through his, he could hardly get his words out.
It was cute.
“So then I said to Varka, what’s the point of all this new gear if we don’t go looking for enemies to test it on? And everyone looked at me like I’m the crazy one!”
Lohen was pouting at you, his cheek held in one hand while the other drummed his fingers against your desk. You smiled at him, giving him an encouraging nod.
“I feel like no one really gets me,” he complained. “They’re all like, ‘Vice Captain Lohen’s a bloodthirsty monster’! I mean, they’re not entirely wrong, but I’ve got a head on my shoulders too!”
“Mm,” you answered, your eyes focused on those drumming fingers of his. “It sounds like they assumed you just wanted to fight.”
“Yeah! Which, I guess I do. But my idea was actually practical!”
Your hand slid across the surface of your desk. You watched Lohen’s face as you weaved your fingers through his, taking immediate notice of how wide his eyes turned. His drumming fingers immediately stopped, and with a sharp turn of his head, he gawked at your joined hands like he couldn’t believe it.
It didn’t take long for his cheeks to become consumed by a fiery red color. He lifted a gloved hand to his face, shifting his gaze away from you as he muttered, “I thought you said you wouldn’t do that in public anymore.”
You smiled fondly at him. “It’s empty in the library right now. If someone comes in, I’ll let you go.”
“The damage’s already done,” he said into his palm. “You’re gonna give me a fuckin’ heart attack, Bun.”
“That’s a little dramatic,” you laughed. “The Vice Captain of the 5th Company can’t fall to his girlfriend’s hand. That would make a horrible epitaph.”
“…You’re my girlfriend,” he said, almost as though he was trying to convince himself of it.
“I’m your girlfriend,” you said. “Remember how you desensitized yourself to dandelions? We should desensitize you to my hand, too.”
Lohen’s eyes pressed shut. After a pause, he muttered, “I guess you’ve got a point.”
You squeezed his hand. The way Lohen’s shoulders jumped made you giggle.
“Quit that,” he complained. “You’re not making this any easier for me.”
“Oh? But I thought you liked a challenge, Lohen.”
He let his hand fall from his face, revealing a sardonic smirk. “Am I imagining things, or are you enjoying this?”
“I’m enjoying holding your hand,” you chirped. “But your cute reactions are definitely a plus.”
“Don’t call me cute,” he answered, the corner of his smirk twitching. “Once we’re outta here, I swear I’ll get you.”
“Get me?” You grinned. “Get me how, exactly?”
His face was still scarlet, but with a cocky smirk, he popped his eyebrows and murmured, "Wouldn't you like to know?”
You felt warmth touch your face. Giggling shyly, you squeezed his hand again, your heart skipping a beat in your chest. Lohen leaned across the desk, his face coming closer to yours, and when the tip of his nose brushed yours, you let out another uncontrollable giggle. You pressed your eyes shut, your wide smile hurting the corners of your mouth.
“You like me,” he crooned, “don’t you?”
You couldn’t stop laughing. Nodding at him, you said, “Of course I do.”
“Say it for me,” he murmured, his breath ghosting across your lips.
“I like you,” you replied, nursing his hand in yours. “I like you a lot, Lohen.”
He let out a laugh, the sound and feel of it tickling your cheeks. Quietly, he said, “I like you too, Bun.”
He kissed you so fast, by the time your eyes opened, he was already pulled away from you. His hand left yours, you instinctively reached after it, but Lohen had already stood to his feet with his back facing you. You could see the redness in his neck, and the peek of his smile from the slight turn of his head towards yours.
“I gotta get back to work,” he said casually. “Don’t leave without me, though. I’ll walk you home.”
You held your face in your hand, smiling fondly. “I’ll be waiting, then. Good luck, Vice Captain.”
He snorted. “Later, library girl.”
With a casual wave of his hand, the tall wooden door to the library closed behind him. Cupping your cheeks under your palms, you let out a pleased sigh.
“He’s so cute,” you whispered to yourself.
“Oh, your boyfriend’s gone now?”
When you heard Lisa’s voice, you let out a yelp. You whipped your head to your right, seeing the coy-eyed woman sauntering towards you with a knowing smile. Face smoldering, you sputtered, “L-Lisa! How long have you been here?!”
“About as long as the Vice Captain has,” she told you with a giggle. “I didn’t realize you liked flirting on the clock, cutie.”
“I’m sorry,” you said quickly, your heart hammering in your ears. “I’ll get back to work.”
“Oh, don’t worry about it.” Lisa shook her head, lifting her pointer finger to her lips. “I promise I won’t tell a single soul. Besides, it’s nice to see you look so happy about something.”
“O-okay,” you stammered. “Sorry. I’m getting back to work, I promise.”
“Hehe…it’s a shame the Vice Captain didn’t get to see you like this, cutie. Should I bring him back here?”
You closed your eyes. “Lisa, please stop.”
“Okay, okay. Here’s a few new books that need labeling. I’ve got some business to attend to, so I’ll be back later, okay?”
You nodded, accepting the stack of novels from your coworker with a small smile. When Lisa left, and you were alone in the library once again, you let out another lovesick sigh. Lohen’s red eyes consumed your thoughts, and the feel of his lips on yours had your cheeks flushing with warmth all over again.
“…I miss him already.”

against medical advice — lohen x reader, suggestive/NSFW (18+ only), drabble

🩵 chai’s personal favs
You were mortified. Lohen, on the other hand, was having the time of his life.
“So what brings you here?” the nurse asked.
“Well—.”
“—he had an accident,” you said immediately, your face burning. “He, um. I think his hip…got dislocated.”
The nurse’s fingers clacked into the keyboard as she asked, “Do we know what caused the dislocation?”
“Heh,” Lohen said with a grin on his face that was much too cocky for the situation. “My girlfriend—.”
“—he was out in the yard, working!” you exclaimed over him. “I think he tripped! Yep!”
Lohen’s eyes languidly rolled over to yours. The smirk on his face made your cheeks burn ten times hotter, your pulse pounding in your ears. For a guy who should have been experiencing some of the worst pain of his life, he sure looked smug about the whole thing. That certainly didn’t make it any easier for you to talk to the emergency room staff.
“Okay, we’ll get him into an exam room while we wait for the doctor,” the nurse said. “I’m assuming he needs a wheelchair?”
“Nah, I’ll just cling to her,” Lohen replied, waving his hand. “It’s her fault anyway—.”
“We’ll take the wheelchair.” You grinned from ear-to-ear, elbowing him in the stomach. “Won’t we, Lohen?”
He snorted. “Fine.”
“What are you doing?” you asked, your eyes narrowed.
“Taking a pic to commemorate this,” Lohen answered, phone in hand. “It’s not every day you end up sending me to the ER, Bun.”
Your hands curled into fists on your legs. Feeling awkward, and extremely responsible for the situation at hand, you muttered, “I’m really sorry. I didn’t realize I was…that it was that rough.”
“You should tell the doc that, when she comes around,” Lohen chirped. “I’m sure she’ll understand. Besides, isn’t honesty, like, a super huge policy in these medical type places? Judgment free zones and all that?”
“We are not telling the doctor that,” you argued. “If you do, I will die. Do you hear me, Lohen? I’ll die.”
“You’re so dramatic,” he answered with a laugh. “I’m sure they’ve heard way worse than a guy whose hip dislocated ‘cause his girlfriend rode his thigh too hard.”
The memory of it hit you like a freight truck. The way you had rocked your hips back and forth over the smooth, hairy surface of Lohen’s thigh; how he had kissed his way up your neck with those hot lips of his; and how you had tilted your head back, moaning shamelessly as you rocked and rocked and rocked; and then—.
Pop!
…And the unfortunate curse that Lohen had blurted because of it.
“Honestly, it felt kinda good,” Lohen said, grinning from ear-to-ear. “I’m sure we coulda popped it back in at home, too, but you’re just a scaredy cat, aren’t ya?”
“I already dislocated your femur,” you groaned into your hands. “I didn’t want to fuck it up by trying to put it back.”
“Oh, you worry too much. I totally trust you, Bun!”
“I have zero experience with this! Zero!” you sputtered. “It’s easier—and safer—to leave it to the professionals!”
“Pft.” Lohen hid his giggle behind his hand. “Okay, Bun. Whatever you say.”
You sighed. Relaxing back into the rigid plastic chair, you anxiously turned to the door. As long as Lohen kept his mouth shut, you would both get through the evening just fine. No one needed to know what truly brought him there, and they certainly didn’t need to know that you had any part in it.
Yet when the doctor came in, her white coat grabbing your nerves by the throat, your words were spewing the truth before you even realized it. She wasn’t even halfway through introducing herself when you interrupted her.
“I’m so sorry,” you said quickly, your words leaving your lips in a flurry. “This is my fault. We were getting intimate, and I wasn’t paying attention, and then I was gonna cum, so I closed my eyes because it felt really good, and then I—.”
“Woah, TMI, Bun!” Lohen exclaimed, his eyes wide. He was much more concise when he said, “She rode my thigh and my hip popped out of place.”
“Ah,” the doctor said, adjusting her glasses up the bridge of her nose. “I see. Well, you certainly aren’t the first patient I’ve had this happen to. How’s the pain?”
You blinked, your jaw hung low. The absolute lack of judgment in the other woman’s voice had you stunned into silence. Lohen gave you a knowing smile before answering, “Not bad at all, really. Maybe a seven out of ten?”
“...A seven out of ten is quite severe. Would you like pain medicine?”
“Nah, I’m good.”
“Well…alright.” The doctor glanced your way. “You’re his girlfriend, I’m assuming?”
Your ears burned. “Yeah.”
“Nice to meet you. We should probably be able to relocate it without anesthesia, if your boyfriend can tolerate it. If we’re having issues, we’ll have to consult our orthopedic surgeons. It shouldn’t take all that long.”
That was it? No admonishment for your mistake? Not even so much as a giggle?
“Sounds great, doc,” Lohen chirped.
“Since your pain’s well controlled, I’ll just order some anti-anxiety medications in case you need them. If either of you need anything else, please give your nurse a call.”
With that, the doctor was gone. It was just you and Lohen again, sitting in silence.
That silence quickly filled with his bubbling laughter.
“Shut up!” you whined. “God, I’m so fucking embarrassed!”
“Hey, you…! You’re the one who went and said all that!” he laughed, his eyes budding with tears as his chortles interrupted his own sentences. “So fucking funny, I…! I can’t!”
He leaned his head back, laughing so hard, you were sure everyone in the hall could hear it. With a groan, you held your head in your hands.
“Aw, don’t worry about it, Bun,” he said, wiping a tear away with his index finger. “As soon as they pop my hip back in, we can go home so you can dislocate it again!”
You let out a pained wail.
“Lohen, I’m gonna kill you!”
“Do you think we should bring him the domestic violence form?” one of the nurses whispered to the other.
“Ha!” the older man answered. “That’s how I know you’re single, kid. Trust me—that’s a healthy relationship if I’ve ever seen one.”
“But, sir…you’re divorced.”
“Pft! If my wife dislocated my hip during sex, I probably wouldn’t be!”
As the older man’s laughter filled the nurse’s station, the others rolled their eyes.

bikini — lohen x reader, suggestive (18+ only), drabble
summary — lohen knows you want him to socialize and make "friends", but he's perfectly content with the way things are now. when you ask him to join the knights on their monthly social outing to cider lake, he reluctantly agrees, but then you show him something far better than drunk knights in swimwear...
themes — established relationship, fluff and humor and light smut, extremely suggestive themes, encouraging your boyfriend to make friends gone wrong, reader wears a bikini, lohen's brain shortcircuits
WC: 954
Spending the day at Cider Lake “bonding” with the other knights was not Lohen’s idea of a good time.
“I think you should go,” you had told him. “Maybe you’ll make some friends.”
“I don’t need friends,” he muttered.
“Yes, you do, Lohen. What if you need something one day, and you have no one to turn to?”
“I have you.”
“But what if I can’t help you?”
“Then it must not be all that important.”
He grumbled to himself as he replayed your conversation in his head, his eyes narrowed into a glare. Leave it to you to get him tangled in some “social outing” that he’d rather die than take part in. Lounging around the lake with those drunk knights sounded like more of a headache than anything, but you, with your “maturity” and “concerns”, had forced him into taking the others up on their invitation. As he mused about how dreadful the evening was going to be, he held a green vial of poison in his hand, flipping it up and down as he watched the toxins slosh in their glass container.
“Lohen,” he heard you say. “Please don’t play with poison at my kitchen table.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he muttered, slotting it back into the pocket of his swim trunks. “I forgot. No fun allowed here.”
You laughed. “Don’t be so pouty. I’m coming with you, you know?”
“Huh?” He immediately sat upright, lifting off your table. As he turned to face you, he said, “Since when are you—? Holy, shit.”
His jaw hung low as he gawked at you, his eyes pinned to every inch of your exposed skin. Blinking furiously, Lohen lifted his hands to rub his eyes, concerned for a moment that he had died and ascended to Celestia without realizing it. When your mint-green swimsuit remained and your naked skin accompanied it, he reluctantly tore his eyes from your tits to instead look at your face.
“What?” you asked, your eyes flitting off to the side. “Uh…do I look weird?”
Lohen’s mouth slowly closed. Quietly, he rose from his seat, and even quieter, he closed the distance between you. You were wringing your hands as he did, looking awfully concerned.
“Too much?” you asked with a wince. “I wanted to try something new, but…”
Lohen’s mouth curved into a grin. Leering down at you, he giggled with his teeth dug into his lower lip, a pleasant flush of warmth sinking into his face. You flinched at first, but when he grabbed your hips, you gave him a strained smile.
“I think we’re supposed to meet everyone in twenty minutes.”
“I don’t think you care much about that at all,” he replied. “If you did, you wouldn’t have walked out here looking like this.”
“It’s just a swimsuit,” you laughed.
“Oh, I know, Bun. But you’re the one wearing it.”
When he groped your ass, you giggled more, your hands rising to his chest. He grinned at you, leaning in so close that the tip of his nose brushed yours.
“You’re so hot,” he purred. “I’m not taking you anywhere dressed like this. Other than your bed, I mean.”
“No,” you murmured back. “We talked about how you need to socialize more, didn’t we?”
He pressed his mouth to yours. “We can socialize right here, Bun.”
“That doesn’t really count,” you said, but you let him kiss you again anyway.
“Sure it does. I’ll talk to you all you want, pretty girl.”
“That’s not—.” You let out a soft sound when he squeezed you, your hands curling into his shoulders. “That’s not the kind of socializing I was talking about.”
“But it’s the kind you like,” he murmured. “Isn’t it?”
You let out another laugh, your face hot under his kissing lips. When he gave your ass a playful little swat, your nails dug into his shoulders.
“I guess I don’t mind it,” you said.
“Mhm. Didn’t think you would.”
Lohen walked you backwards, and as your giggles filled the room, you both fell to the bed with a soft thump. He peppered kisses to your cheek as you laughed, your legs hooking around his hips. With a dirty chuckle, he rocked his hips forward, humping against you through his swim trunks. Your fingers slipped into his hair, and with a firm pull, brought his mouth to yours. Lohen laughed into your kiss, giving your lower lip a tender nip before pulling away.
“You look really good in that,” he said, “but I still wanna take it off of you.”
Your laughter made him smile wider. You batted your eyelashes at him, tilting your head ever-so endearingly as you said, “You sure you don’t want to look at it some more?”
“Hm…I like how you think, Bun.” He laid a hand on your thigh, stroking his fingers along your smooth skin. In a low murmur, he asked, “You wanna wear it for me while I fuck you?”
You giggled, your eyelids falling partway over your coy gaze. “Sure. You seem to like the idea.”
He giggled back. “You know me so well.”
“I do. Next time though,” you said, your eyes tracking him as he sat on his knees before you, “we’re going to the lake with the others.”
“Eh. We’ll see about that.” He grinned at you, hooking his thumbs under his waistband. “I think I can convince you otherwise.”
You bit your grinning lower lip, popping your eyebrows. “I don’t know about that. I’m not easily persuaded, Vice Captain."
He brought his swim trunks down far enough to expose himself, and watched your face as your eyes flicked down to it. With a cheeky giggle, he said, “I dunno, Bun. Kinda feels like I’ve already won.”

No matter how hard Lohen tried, he wouldn’t be able to fight the enemy that taunted you this time. Or so he had initially thought. After some careful digging on his part, he had stumbled upon an avenue that was perfect for you.
Though, maybe not so perfect for him.
“Lohen, are you—?”
“I’m good!” he said quickly, shooting upright from the table he was keeled over moments prior. “Super good! How’s…how’s things going, Bun?”
“You…really didn’t have to do that,” you replied with a frown. “I’m used to the cramps, so—.”
“Cramps? What cramps? Psh!” Lohen waved his hand in the air, grinning from ear to ear. “This is nothing, Bun! I’ve faced way worse pain and suffering in Nod-Krai. I’m fine, really! Really.”
The longer he grinned at you, the worse the sweat on his brow became. You frowned, your eyes running up and down the length of his body as he sat before you, upright and grinning at your kitchen table. His fingers drummed against the dark wood as time stretched on, and when another stomach-clenching cramp wracked through him, he gripped his hand into a fist and stifled a groan.
“Lohen,” you said, “come here.”
Immediately, he rose from his chair. Placing his hand in yours, he let you lead him to the couch, where you forced him to lay. Lowering yourself onto your knees, you grabbed a pliant plastic pack, disguised as a pyro slime. When you placed it on his lower abdomen, warmth spread through his core.
“Oh,” he said immediately. “ Yeah, that’s…that’s a bit better.”
He sighed, his eyes fluttering shut. You laughed, soft and quiet. He felt your hand on his face, stroking his cheek, and pressed himself further into your touch.
“I can’t believe you,” you said. “Enduring a Hexenzirkel trial, just to transfer my period cramps to you? I’m touched, but…it’s a bit drastic, don’t you think?”
His lips parted for his grinning teeth. “Nah, Bun. I think it’s the bare minimum.”
“If that’s the bare minimum,” you laughed, “then I’d hate to see what you’d say to other couples.”
He opened his left eye, smirking at you. The way you smiled at him made his cheeks flush with warmth, his heart seeped in the joy of knowing that, for at least one month, you wouldn’t be terrorized by those awful menstrual cramps of yours.
“Who cares about other couples?” he purred. “I just care about you and me.”
You laughed again, stroking his cheek under your warm fingers. Smiling at him so tenderly that it made his heart hurt, you said, “Me too.”
You leaned your head down, kissing him with your grinning lips. Lohen reached for the back of your head, keeping you pressed against him as he laughed. Digging his teeth into his lower lip, he stared after you with a smile, sweet throbs of dull, aching pain accompanying his pleasure.
“Honestly, I kinda like the cramps. We should do this every month.”
“You can’t pester the Hexenzirkel every month,” you replied with a giggle. “Though it’s sweet of you to want to try.”
“They have the right to say no, if they wanna. I’ll still ask though.”
“Doesn’t it hurt? Even now, it seems like you weren’t expecting it to be like this.”
“Hurts like a bitch,” he answered, the corner of his grin twitching. “But you know me, Bun. When has a little bit of pain ever stopped me from doing something?”
Lips closed, you laughed through your nose. “As far as I know, never.”
“Uh-huh.” He pulled your hand to his mouth, giving your palm a kiss. “So let your tough boyfriend handle this, alright? There’s no reason for you to go suffering every month if I can do something about it.”
“Hm? But before, you had other methods for it, didn’t you?”
He giggled, grazing his teeth along the inner aspect of your wrist. Talking into your skin, he asked, “What, you miss ‘em?”
Your eyes strayed from his, but your smile remained. “They weren’t bad.”
Playfully, he licked your pulse point. “You don’t have to be cramping for me to eat you out, Bun. You’re still bleeding, aren’t you?”
Your eyes fell closed. Lowering your head, you smiled, and rather shyly, nodded.
“Let me take care of that, then,” he purred. “I’ll get you real clean.”
“Stop,” you said, your words contrasting that wide grin of yours.
“Come on, princess,” he crooned, grinning against the skin of your forearm. Pointing at his face, he purred, “Your throne awaits.”

summary — what's that, honorary knight? you wanna know why i wear this ring on my pointer finger? well...i guess i don't mind sharing.
themes — fluff and light humor, chai's self-indulgent hc for lohen's ring, various subtle references to my previous works, promise rings, reference to a popular lohen meme, discussions of the intensity of lohen's love, mild violent/graphic talk from lohen, they're in love your honor ♡

You were surprised that Lohen was the one to bring it up first.
“I just want something that shows how much you mean to me,” he had told you, as he held you to his chest in the darkness. “Something that tells other people you’re mine, without you even having to say it.”
Now, you stood before him, your hand outstretched to his. The way his gloved fingers brushed yours sent a delicate frisson through your arm, spurring warmth in your cheeks. You smiled at him, he smirked at you, and then you both turned to look at your joined hands.
“Which finger should I put it on?”
“Whichever feels best,” you answered. “I don’t mind.”
“Hm. I want you to pick, though.”
You let out a soft laugh. “The ring finger’s always a solid choice. Let’s do that one.”
“You had better be sure,” he murmured, “‘cause you’re not ever taking it off.”
The way his red eyes caught yours made your heart lurch into your throat. Beaming at the man you adored, you said, “You pick first, then. I’ll just match you.”
Lohen rolled the silver band between his fingers, looking pensive. He glanced down at your hand, running his thumb across the bumps of your knuckles. Eventually, that thumb of his settled right on your pointer finger.
“I want mine here.”
“Why?” you asked curiously.
The way he grinned sent butterflies into your stomach. He sounded rather excited when he said, “It’s gotta be the trigger finger. Next time I shoot someone, it’ll feel like you’re shooting ‘em with me!”
“Oh.” Your eyes widened, but your smile remained. “That’s, um…that’s nice…?”
“Isn’t it?! It’ll be a permanent reminder that every time I pull the trigger, my cute girlfriend’s at home waiting for me. We’ll be like partners in crime! Ah, but only against the bad guys, of course.”
“Wow,” you stammered. “Wow, I…wow. You, um…you put a lot of thought into that. Pretty quickly, too.”
“Uh-huh. Aren’t you proud of me?”
His toothy grin was one of the sweetest, most innocent things you had ever seen. If you hadn’t known him for as long as you did, you would have never been capable of imagining that a man with a face like his could go on to brutalize his enemies the way that he did. Lohen was fierce in both passion and punishment, and a long time ago, that might have scared you. Now, though, that fact only brought a smile to your face.
“Good job, Lohen,” you said warmly.
He giggled, his cheeks turning red. Without missing a beat, he happily slotted the silver band over your left trigger finger before slipping his own onto the opposite hand. He pressed your palms together before curling his fingers through the gaps of yours, your rings brushing against each other with the motion.
“Are you happy?” he murmured.
Grinning at him, you nodded and gave his hand a squeeze.
“Do you love me?” he asked coyly.
You laughed. “You’re always so silly, Lohen. The promise ring isn’t proof enough?”
“Mm, it is. But I just like hearing you say it.”
“I love you,” you told him fondly. “Do you love me?”
His smile could snap your heart in two.
“I’d take a bullet for you,” he purred. “If you ever stabbed me, Bun, I’d look you in the eye and say thank you.”
“That’s…an interesting way of putting it,” you laughed. “Though I have to admit that I’m not planning on stabbing you any time soon.”
“If you ever did,” he said with a wicked grin, “I’d thrust myself deeper into the blade just to be a few inches closer to ya.”
You smirked. “You love me that much?”
“Uh-huh. If you wanted to, I’d let you wreck my internal organs, Bun. If you ever told me you needed a new heart, I’d carve mine right out of my own chest for you.”
“Okay, okay,” you said with a giggle. “You’re going a bit far there, Lohen.”
“It’s not too far,” he insisted, his smirking lips brushing against yours. “That’s how much I love you, you know?”
You giggled. His mouth pressed to yours in a chaste kiss, his hand still squeezed tightly before you. The way he looked at you with those smoldering red eyes of his, how that smirk played across his sweet pink lips—you knew that he meant every word of what he had said to you. Maybe it was intense, and maybe it wasn’t the most typical romantic confession, but that was Lohen’s love. It was unique and abrasive, but when you allowed it to rub at your skin, it only felt like the softest of blankets. It was the kind of love you craved, and the kind that he was ever so generous to bestow upon you.
You kissed him again. Softly, you said, “You’re the love of my life, Lohen.”
His free hand rose to your cheek, his teeth digging into his grinning lower lip. With a cocky nod, he said, “Yeah, Bun. I know.”
You laughed, he pressed your mouths together, and with your hands still joined, you melted away under the sweet wash of Lohen’s love for you.
