People who saw the ATLA movie arguing that the most dangerous form of bending is airbending now. Same as when season 3 of Korra came out.
Airbending is the strongest bending my ass. Did anyone see what waterbending- bloodbending can do ? And that technically bloodbending is completely possible without a full moon? And that bloodbending + chi blocking knowledge means the bloodbender can block bending essentially copying the avatar? Essentially making a fully capable and trained bloodbender only second to the avatar and the spirits?
Unless a bloodbender is taken by total surprise, totally outnumbered and jumped simultaneously or faces an Avatar in the avatar state, they body everyone in a fair or unfair fight. Like you can’t even move against a day bloodbender. And if it wasn’t a children’s show the bloodbender could instantly snap necks or limbs if he/she is strong enough.
Nobody in the show defeated day bloodbenders besides the Avatar in the Avatar state or another bloodbender. Aang couldn’t defeat Yakone without the Avatar state, Korra lost to Tarrlok, Yakone and Tarrlok could bend rooms of people into unconsciousness, Tarrlok only lost to Amon , Korra never won against Amon , she just managed to expose him , winning the mental/public opinion fight against him and he ran away , instead of continuing to fight her.
Tell me how the other forms of bending are the most dangerous, because day bloodbending aka a form of waterbending was so overpowered they killed off everyone capable of doing it because Amon would have bodied the other LOK villains besides Vatuu who is basically dark avatar, but Unalaq wouldn’t be able to get to him before Amon mopped the floor with him and the series would have ended in 2 episodes.
Wow sure love how all of these siblings had a happy ending and made up their differences in a civil way
Thinking about Amon twisting Zuko’s scar, the result of one of the worst days of Zuko’s life and probably a globally-known symbol of Ozai’s cruelty, and using it in his anti-Avatar and -bender campaign
bro looks like a pokemon villain
Me trying to find more noatak content:
Equalist Work by KasonSama
This has been a WIP for ACTUAL YEARS at this point so I decided to ""finish"" it. It's done.
It is nice doing Legend of Korra art more so Equalists, love these guys.
Rewatching LoK and always would have loved more details on Noatak's past and resurgence as Amon. (Probably biased since I've always really loved bloodbending as an ability and Steve Blum's one of my favorite VAs.)
My headcanon was that he was a vigilante; if he saw benders abusing their powers over non-benders, he'd later abduct them and use them as "practice." I always kinda wondered if, in targeting the victims' chi paths, he was fucking around with the brain to some extent too, given the damage he inflicted was unable to be healed by even the most skilled healers like Katara. It sounds like it would be a much more precise style of bloodbending than the body-puppeteering Yakone had him doing. (Also always wondered how he worked the process out and if there were any failed attempts that left his victims dead before he successfully managed to successfully strip someone of their bending.)
Would also be willing to settle for a novel about Zaheer and the other members of the Red Lotus too.
