Hi! May I request a good old fashioned Loki x reader slow dance? (Reader preferably gender neutral, but presents as more feminine)
Maybe where the reader isn’t used to being so close to someone and is NOT good at dancing, but Loki kind of guides them through it? Thank you in advance ❤️
Thank you for the request! I hope you enjoy it!

His hand traveled from your shoulder to the small of your back, landing finally on your waist. His eyes pierced through you, and you couldn't look at him back, too focused on... well, anything else that could take your mind off him.
"Lift your eyes", he instructed with reserved patience. You couldn't tear your gaze off your feet. "Look at me, darling".
"I'm afraid I'll step over your feet". He denied with his head.
"I can take it. Follow my lead and you'll be fine".
He held you tighter by the waist, and you squirmed in place, trying to get away from his grasp. He pushed you closer to him again, and you stepped on him on purpose to get away.
"Sorry", you pretended, starting to get rid of your uncomfortable dancing shoes. He chuckled in annoyance and denied with his head.
"Now, what on the Nine Realms do you think you're doing, lady?".
"I'm clearly no good for dancing. I'll be fine sitting on a corner, drinking champagne and eating appetizers".
He sat by your side, a smirk plastered on his face.
"What's keeping you from learning this? I told you, I'll be your teacher and by the end of the day you'll be dancing like a professional".
You sighed, and knew that he was perfectly aware why you couldn't dance with him. You couldn't say it out loud, so you just gave up and got up again. The closeness wasn't a problem. It was more like something you desired with all your being. And that desire was the problem.
If he could just stop being so gorgeous, so handsome, so well mannered... maybe dancing wouldn't be an issue. But you couldn't be that close to him and not melt into his arms, hugging him the entire time, wishing you could kiss him.
"I don't think I'm comfortable with our bodies being so close", you muttered, once you accepted the hand he held out for you. He pressed his lips into a thin line and nodded, figuring out a solution.
"Would you rather I pretend like my hand is on your waist, and hold it in the air?".
"That... could help. Wouldn't people in the Ballroom notice?".
"I don't think so".
So, you tried it. But his hand on your skin wasn't the issue, you realized, as you found yourself getting hotter and hotter -as much as before- and longing for him to press his wet and soft lips against yours.
"Would you do as I say?", he said, lifting your chin softly with a finger. You, at that point, were nearly a puddle on the floor. He whispered, in a low and seductive voice, "look at me".
The glimmering lights of the candles were beginning to be the only source of light on the library's reading space. The sun was falling behind the mountains of Asgard and the Dance was approaching. You had moved the couches away to turn that little cozy place into a dance practice room.
You looked at him, and got almost startled at the loving look on his eyes. The way they stared at you with such care made you forget everything that ever worried you. You relaxed into his touch, allowing him to rest his hands on your hips, and you laid your head on his shoulder.
He could breathe the perfume on your hair, and used one hand to comb his fingers through the back of your neck. Your skin was so soft, he thought, softer than the fabric of your dress.
“You’re doing so well”, he murmured in your ear, sending shivers to your spine. His touch burned on your skin, his breathing so close to you, you could even feel his heartbeat on your chest. You lifted your head and met his eyes, closer than he had ever been to you. Your noses touched slightly. He pressed a small kiss on the corner of your lips, testing the waters. You moved your face, kissing him, and he pulled you closer by the neck. You surrounded his neck with your arms and deepened the kiss, a small smile in both of your lips. When you finally pulled away, he rested his forehead on yours, and whispered with a smirk, “I think you’re no longer scared of being close to me”.

Counterfeit Criminals | Part Six
You sucked in a deep breath, putting your ship on autopilot, “We need to land on Morag.”
The Prince stilled the way no human could, “Why?”
“It’s the closest planet that won’t have anyone trying to kill me when we land,” You explained, observing him closely, “Something’s wrong. Yesterday’s jumps must have worn it out. I need to check out the engine before it dies out in space.”
He nodded, eyes distant, “Will it be a quick fix?”
Something was on his mind, you could tell. You could always tell. There were a lot of things you’d learned about the Prince on Asgard that you thought you’d forgotten. But you were wrong. Something had happened yesterday. Something that had reminded you that nothing was ever what it seemed with the Prince. You couldn’t put your finger on what had changed. Maybe it was the way he’d looked at you, green eyes dimmed and broken, like he couldn’t muster up the energy to slide his mask in place anymore. Maybe it was because, without the mask, you’d caught a glimpse of something familiar you only ever saw in the mirror. Or maybe it was something completely different you’d never be able to name. Either way, some of the tension between you two had dissipated. The problem was that you were afraid of what it might mean because it did.
“Why so many questions, Prince?” You asked, hoping in vain to get a truthful answer.
His gaze lazily returned to yours as if the conversation now bored him, “Am I not allowed to inquire on the state of your ship.”
“No.”
“It is my ride home,” He supplied as if it might change your opinion.
You raised a brow, “I’m surprised you consider Asgard home.”
A knowing smirk spread across his lips.
You smirked back.
Neither of you said anything else, waiting for the other to break the silence first. There was a lot he wasn’t telling you, that much was obvious, but there was a lot you weren’t telling him either. It was almost as if you’d come to some sort of temporary truce. It didn’t erase all the pain and hurt you felt at the sight of him, it just made it easier to push it down and to ignore it. You tried not to let of of those feelings resurface. At the moment, you needed to know that your ship would be all right to make the journey and Morag was the place to do that.
“How long will we be on planet?” Loki asked.
You slid a glance his way, “If I didn’t know any better, Wolf, I’d say you were worried.”
“Now, now, Midgardian,” He shot you a knowing grin, “Why would I be worried?”
You shrugged, “I don’t know. You tell me.”
“I could say that it’s because I’m not sure that Morag is safe for a Midgardian, but-”
You cut him off, unable to help yourself when you bit out, “But that would mean you actually care about my safety.”
Instead of shooting you another unfazed grin like you were expecting, he conjured a small blade and began twirling it deftly between his fingers, “But I’d only be worried if I didn’t think you were capable of taking care of yourself. Ans s someone who’s consistently been surrounded by idiots, I’m well aware that you aren’t one and that you can take care of yourself.”
The honesty - or maybe flattery was a better word - took you by surprise, and you didn’t know what to say next. You knew he was telling the truth. Despite what he’d done to you, Loki had never doubted your ability to stay alive. The problem was that you’d thought, for a moment there, that he’d never doubted you. Obviously, you’d been wrong about that. If he trusted you, you’d have been in on his plans and not struggling to recover from the aftermath of them. Everything about the Prince was based off of illusions and misdirect. It didn’t matter if it was for something as small as a practical joke or as big as covering up the truth, if he was making you look in one direction, it was because something was happening in the other.
You pulled up on your descent, trying to save your ship a tough landing, “You’re right. I’m not an idiot. I know you’re worried about something.”
“I’m telling the truth,” He replied.
You scoffed, “Maybe, but that doesn’t mean that there’s not more to it. Funny thing is, Prince, I know you, which means I know there’s more that you’re not telling me.”
He bowed his head, a smirk on his lips. When he looked back up, his eyes were bright, something unreadable on his face. Something that warmed your heart no matter how much you wanted to feel nothing.
“Are you telling me that I need to step up my game?” He asked.
You kept your eyes one the front, trying not to smile, “I’d rather you didn’t.”
He chuckled, “But where would be the fun in that?”
“I think me calling your bluff earns me a bit of truth,” You pointed out.
“That was our deal,” He murmured, “Wasn’t it?”
You shrugged, “Something like that.”
He stayed silent as you continued the descent. It didn’t surprise you that he didn’t answer. A year ago, you would’ve said it didn’t matter because you didn’t think he would put you in danger; that if it was important, he’d tell you. But now you weren’t so sure.
“There are objects on Morag that are more powerful than you can imagine,” He said with such calm it was hard to imagine that these objects really were so powerful, “Avoid the southern hemisphere.”
You looked down at your trajectory and realized you didn’t have long to correct your course, “Care to elaborate?”
He grinned, “It’s nothing you can sell. I wouldn’t concern yourself with with it, Midgardian.”
You were about to snap at him for being an ass the warning lights flared, indicating that there was a piece of your ship that was precariously close from falling off. It wasn’t necessary to your landing, but you sure as hell wanted it there when you took off again.
Despite making your landing as soft as possible, the damn piece flew off before you could hit the ground. When everything had stopped and the ship was stable, you let your head fall back on the chair and groaned. That piece could be anywhere. You sucked in a breath. Sitting here moaning about it wasn’t going to get you any closer to finding it.
You stood, “Are you going to help me get that piece or what?”
His face broke out into dangerous, toothy grin, “And miss out on all the fun?”
You searched in silence, combing the purplish landscape for any sign of the missing part. By now, you’d gotten so far from your ship that you were beginning to wonder if you’d ever find it.
“No one knows you were the one who stole the Wand,” Loki mentioned as if he was commenting on the weather, eyes focused on the terrain.
Surprised, you looked up at him for answers. You knew he had dropped that little bit of information to get you to ask more questions, and you couldn’t help yourself. If he had information concerning your safety then you wanted to know what it was.
“Do they suspect me?” You asked.
He shook his head, “Not at the moment. Apparently, you were sighted on several security cameras on Knowhere at the time of the theft.”
“That’s impossible,” You murmured, knowing you didn’t have the resources to pull something like that off. There were only a few people in the galaxy you knew who could do something like that…and one of them was standing right beside you, “Prince-”
A shot blasted into the ground, tossing you back like a rag doll and everything went black.

Birthday Suits (Loki x reader)

6. “What’s a birthday suit?”
Loki sat down next to you, he watched as you spoke to Nat, who sat across from you, about something. He wasn’t too sure what you were talking about, something along the lines of dressing up for Starks party. He didn’t care what you guys spoke of anyway, he just liked watching you. Your beauty inspired him in some way.
“What do you think, Loki?” you asked as you turned to him.
“Hm?” He quickly perked up, maybe he should’ve been paying attention to what you were saying after all.
“Men,” Nat scoffed, “always somewhere else.”
You rolled your eyes, “looks like I won’t be showing him my birthday suit tonight, after all.” You winked over at Nat who burst into laughter.
“What’s a birthday suit?” Loki asked, his face looked like an innocent puppy as the words spilled out his mouth.
You looked at him in shock, “you’ve never heard of a birthday suit?”
He shook, “I’m gonna assume it’s a suit that you mortals use for your birthday? Does it include those colored small pieces of paper? What did Mr. America call them… Confetti?” You stifled a laugh, “I’m gonna take that as a no? Is it a suit that provides fun?”
“Oh it can provide lots of fun,” Nat mumbled as she took a swig of her drink.
“I am confused, what is the purpose of this birthday suit?” Loki asked as he looked confusingly at Nat.
“It’s not a suit,” you explained as you pinched the bridge of your nose, “it’s actually nothing at all.”
“Well, if it’s nothing then why put a name to it?”
Nat rolled her eyes, “A birthday suit means being naked,” you said as you tried your hardest to stifle a laugh.
“Oh… OH!” Loki said as he looked at you and Nat in shock.
“I think he’s finally getting it,” Nat said with a small smirk.
You smirked at Loki and leaned in close to his ear, “don’t worry, you’ll still get to see my birthday suit later.” You leaned back and winked at Loki as he blushed.
