I know it's late, but do not worry. If I don't finish this by the end of October, it will still continue on untill there all 31 prompts are done!
Here is what is to be expected for: Kinktober 2021.
(Name) and Loki had always had this sexual tension between one another. Their intense gaze never left one another in heated moments of anger, only building adding the fuel to their hot tension between them.
Of course something was bound to happen with all the tension they built up over the years of constant back and fourths. Not to mention the stress the two had pent up due to their positions; Loki, deeming himself as the president of the void wasteland, (Name) being leader of those hiding underground away from Golieth's jaws.
The two were currently in a "meeting" in regards to combining their forces and expanding their communities to expand from underground out and slowly build a tripolis of their own. (Name) knew Loki had past rulership on his home on Asgard, although she was well aware he had his bent up ways of what was right and what was wrong. It most certainly is not uncommon to run into some kind of Loki variant, and president Loki was by far the most corrupt of all the Loki's coming through to the void. However, it was still very thrilling to her to know such a dangerous man wanted her.

"Come on love, think about it" Loki had gotten up from his seat and made his way over to (Name). His strong and firm hands gripped the head of her large desk chair "you and I, in complete control over all"
His words like syrup as his breath trickled her exposed neck. A shiver of delight came over her "we will be unstoppable" he purred out
"President Loki, as much as I love the idea of 'us' I will have to turn down your offer, dear" she said schooling back her desires
"and why is that?" he asked as he moved to the side of her leaning against her desk facing her, watching her with predatory eyes
"The reason is simple, Loki. You are still as crooked as ever, I could never allow someone like yourself to take over my people. I do not wish to have them subjected to your curruption" she said glaring at him slightly
"and how am I currupted?" he asked her with an arch of his brow
"well for one you are notoriously know for back stabbing any and everyone in the back to gain all kind of power you can get your hands on" she said leaning back in her seat as she pushed away from the desk "you have proven many times you re no to be trusted, and all your promises are never kept"
"That was before meeting you, love" he said with a bark of a laugh.
"Charmed, I'm sure you get everyone with that bullshit of a line" (Name) scoffed as she got up from her chair walking to the window looking down at her small community town
"Surprisingly you are the first, if it were anyone else at this point I would kill them and take over by force" he said getting up behind her his body pressed up against her "of course I always get what I want...and I will do that by force if I have to, love."
His words fell into a whisper, his hands snakes their way round her waist. His touch was electrifying, her head slumped back resting on his shoulder when he pulled her closer to him. Her back side press up against his front slowly she could feel the way his body was reacting to hers being so close to her.
"So what do you say, love. Just give me the chance to change your judgement on me" he said placing kisses at her next so sensationally making her body tingle all over
"Loki...not in my office" she said her voice betraying her as her voice wavered in delight and lust at his touch
"Come on, love. Live a little" he purred in her ear as turned over pressing her back up against the glass.
Loki let one of his hands slip down her side and having her hook a leg around his waist. (Name)'s boy complied obidently to his touch. He started to grind himself against her, she held onto him; her hands tangled in his hair, her skirt had risen up as one of her legs was held up by his hand.
She made a groan as she felt herself losing her will to fight back her desires for this man. Her hand worked on unbuckling his belt, he let out a dark lustful chuckle as he helped her.
(Name) grabbed his face and kissed him, he seemed to melt into the kiss. As he melted into the kiss she felt spark in her stomach as she too melted into it, it was something they couldn't explain aside from the fact it was no longer tension or our sexual desire; there was something else that sparked in them that shifted in that moment.
Her hand ran down his chest down to his abdomen; her hands rested at the waistband of his briefs. (Name)'s hand slipped under the elastic band grabbing hold of his hard erection, bringing it out she started to move her hand up and down his shaft. Loki let out a small moan at the stimulation feeling how her palm would run against the tip of his erection every so often. He pulled back giving a light chuckle
"How about we get a little more comfortable, love" he purred as he leads (Name) to her desk.
They stumble a little together, until Loki grabbed her from the waist and lifted her to sit on the desk.
(Name) moved some things from behind her, Loki rested his hands on the outer side of her thighs and resting on the desk. He captured her lips in a blissful kiss, her hand grabbed the side of his face pulling him in. Her legs wrapped around his waist, her skirt had slipped up more at the new position.
Loki with skillful hands pulled her by the waist and pulled to the edge, his hand ran up her tight curving into her inner thigh. She felt a shiver of excitement as she felt his hand getting closer to her private area, his finger made contact to her thin panties. They started to make work on getting her wet through her panties, oh how (Name) craved for more. Her moans where like music to his ears; he pushed aside her underwear and slipped a finger into her.
Clothes were now dishelved, (Name)'s panties were off and on the floor along with Loki's belt and tie. (Name) was facing her desk bent forward with Loki deep inside her, he kissed at her exposed neck as he started to pound into her
"Come on, love. Let us unite our followers" he said into her ear with soft huffs as he thrusted in and out of her
"Not if you promise-" a loud moan came out from her which she used a hand to cover her mouth before she continued muffling a little "you have to promise you won't betray my trust and my people" she said looking back to him.
"As you wish, love" he said as he felt her relax and losing herself into the pleasure.
Soulmate AU: Every time your soulmate lies, their words are permanently written on your skin
Word count: 3140 Words
I think this is the last Soulmate one that I have on Wattpad as of right now
Father is dead. Your banishment... The threat of a new war...it was too much for him to bear. You mustn't blame yourself. I know that you loved him. I tried to tell him so, but he wouldn't listen.
The truce with Jotunheim is conditional upon your exile
Mother has forbidden your return
This is goodbye brother, I'm so sorry
Perhaps your senses have weakened after your many years of service
I'M NOT YOUR BROTHER I NEVER WAS!
I don't know what happened on earth to make you so soft! Don't tell me it was that woman?... Oh, it was. Well, when we're done here, maybe I'll pay her a visit myself!
You're not
(etc. more lies)
Lies...
Every single one of them. How did you know? Well, because they were printed all over your body.
Every single lie your soulmate ever told up until now graced your (s/c) skin.
How was a liar like that supposed to be a soulmate for you? Someone you could trust?
Yes, your so called soulmate would never be able to lie to you, for as soon as he tried the lie would appear on your skin. Had they only been some minor white lies, that would've probably been fine by you, but looking at the severity of those lies you could only shake your head in disbelief and sorrow for whoever had received those news.
Now ignoring the fact that those statements were lies, there were other aspects that made absolutely no sense. Those you had already researched quite a bit . Jotunheim for a start was a mythical place and the lies stated that apparently the liar and his brother were not from earth, which was complete nonsense was it not? Otherwise he had to be some kind of alien.
You were interrupted in the middle of your thought-process.
I missed you too
A new lie, gracing your forearm. Though this one seemed rather small and harmless, this man was still lying through his teeth and you had to carry every single one of those lies. How often had you been asked why your body was full of lies. Yet you never had an answer to those questions. He was your soulmate, even if he was a liar he had to be good somewhere, right?
Aliens and beings from other worlds did exist though. Thor the god of thunder and the events of New York city. Did they have soulmates as well? They had to, otherwise the statements on your features made even less sense.
But who?
Who would lie so much?
The thoughts in your head kept floating around as you got ready to meet up with your friend Anthony.
You started walking to a nearby park. Your usual meeting point, as you felt yet another familiar tingle. Pushing it to the back of your head in hopes of ignoring it, you kept walking towards your friend and hugged him "It's good to see you" you smiled but only got a confused stare in return "What?" "You uh...got a new one there, a long one." A sigh escaped your lips at the reply of Anthony. "Well, where? And does it at least make sense?" Your friend just shook his head as he took a picture of the lettering on your collarbone "No, but here. Maybe you can understand some of this. It looks like sarcasm this time." He gave you his phone to look at the picture. Great another one.
Wait? Sarcasm? One thing you had to give your soulmate credit for were his snarky remarks, at least those sometimes put a smile on your face. You zoomed in on your collarbone as you read what was engraved on the previously clear space of (s/c) skin.
You know this is wonderful! This a tremendous idea! Let's steal the biggest most obvious ship in the universe and escape in that! Flying around the city, smash it into everything in sight and everyone will see it! It's brilliant Thor! It's truly brilliant...
Thor?! You could not believe your eyes. Whoever your soulmate was knew Thor. It was a shock and a relief as well. If he was friends with this god he couldn't be so bad, could he? You did however, question why Thor would spend time, let alone steal some kind of spaceship with this person.
"I see. I can't say I understand what it's about, but whoever this liar of mine is, seems to be friends with Thor..." The words left your mouth as you handed the phone back to your dear friend. The two of you sat down on a wooden bench underneath a tree, but when you heard Anthony speak up, your mind went blank "He could also be Thor's brother, doesn't that one lie a lot?" It took you a few moments to fully comprehend what he meant "No, that'd be impossible, that man is sitting behind bars for the rest of his life. Besides, that guy is evil. My soulmate could never possibly be a bad person." that last part was a lie. Your soulmate was a liar, he could easily be a bad person, you just hoped with all your might that he wasn't"

"Trust my rage" the god of mischief spoke. Just as he had finished his sentence he felt a tingle on his wrist. A rare occasion if it was a real lie, usually it was just a sarcastic comment which most of the time he enjoyed quite a bit. These sarcastic statements often caused a small smile to appear on his face, the few nice moments that made the time in his cell more bearable, not only did he find them funny and witty, they also stood for his soulmate, for someone that was destined for him and also that he was a perfect fit for whoever this soulmate was. He looked at his bare wrist expectantly, waiting for one of the snarky remarks that his soulmate had spoken to appear. When it did appear though, it broke his heart. His cold expression fell for a second as he looked at the writing on his wrist. Quickly regaining his cold exterior before anyone would notice. It was too late though. His brother had seen the trickster's face falter just in time and he had also seen what Loki was staring at. Before the raven-haired could pull his hand back he felt it had already been grabbed "Let go of me Thor!"
"Brother, just let me see!" Thor replied loudly, he wanted to know what this was about. Loki looked away in shame as he let his brother read what his soulmate had said. My soulmate could never possibly be a bad person. As he finished reading he loosened his grip on the other's hand, allowing Loki to finally pull his hand back "I'm sorry" he muttered. "They think I'm a monster too..." The black haired god whispered as he sat down in the small ship, his stone cold exterior dropping by the second. Was a soulmate not meant to understand? Was there really no hope for him?
"Loki..."
"Stop it. Don't pity me for something that's my own fault!" he screamed. He just needed a moment to calm down.

"How is this possible? How do I deal with this? I can't just ignore it can I? No" before you knew it you found yourself in front of a massive building. Stark tower. Your (e/c) eyes stared at the monument in awe, but you soon shook your head in order to resume your task. "Enter the tower and talk to the avengers on how to communicate with Thor. You have to do this because Thor knows your soulmate..." you repeated in your head as you entered the building...
...or so you thought.
In the blink of an eye you were consumed by light and gone from where you stood. Was that some kind of security system Stark invented?
Your eyes fluttered open just to see some old man on a throne before your sight went black and your body dropped to the ground unconscious.

"Are you certain Heimdall?" the king asked, looking at the unconscious human, who was now dressed to fit the Asgardian culture. He was inspecting some of the tattoos on their body "You were right they definitely are his soulmate. Though they seem to be a rather honest person, for Loki does not have as many markings on him. As far as I know at least"
What were they talking about? Who were these people, why did they speak of you in a connection to Loki, it made no sense. None at all. You tried to look like you were still passed out.
But apparently you failed in your acting. "The human is awake" a different voice spoke. Maybe it belonged to this Heimdall person.
A sigh of defeat left your lips as you opened your eyes. You tried to take in your surroundings when suddenly, your eyes went wide from the sensation on your skin.
You sighed as you waited for the writing to appear on one of your upper arms. "Oh boy this is a long one" You muttered underneath your breath, but it seems Odin had heard, for he raised an eyebrow as his eyes followed your gaze to your arm which you had uncovered from the strange clothing you were dressed in. The king had taken a hold of your arm to read your words.
You really think I cared about Frigga? About any of you? All I ever wanted was you and Odin dead at my feet! Malekith! I am Loki of Jotunheim and I bring you a gift! I ask only one thing in return, a good seat from which to watch Asgard burn.
"Fools!" Odin shouted.
Meanwhile you thought your eyes were about to pop out of their sockets as you tried to comprehend the meaning behind those words. The only thing you could focus on however, was the name etched in your skin. His name. Loki.
Your thoughts were interrupted when the Allfather spoke up again "Send guards to Svartálfheimr and retrieve my sons! Bring the Aether back if it's still there!"
His sons?
It was at that moment. Realisation hit you like a bus. You were in Asgard and this man before you had to be Odin then. Your brows furrowed. Why were you here? How did you get here?
"Come. You must have many questions." The king said as you got up and followed him "I am Odin of Asgard. Tell me child what is your name?" "M-my name is (Y/n) (L/n). How-how did I get here?" you stuttered as you looked around still walking. "I gave orders to bring you here" He replied casually.

The Jotun prince laid on the ground panting as his brother cradled him in his strong arms "No. No, no, no. Oh, you fool, you didn't listen." "I know." Loki spoke, his voice quiet and weak "I'm a fool. I'm a fool." he gasped in pain. "Stay with me, okay?" The god of thunder spoke close to tears as he pat the other's face to keep him conscious. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" the young god apologized gasping for air but he was quickly shushed by his brother "shhh...it's okay" Thor nodded as tears welled up in his blue eyes. "It's all right. I'll tell father what you did here today" He spoke again the tears now making their way down his cheeks. "I didn't do it for him" The raven haired spoke calmly. As he took his dying breath he spoke his last words "Tell them, I didn't want to be a monster" Just like that the god closed his eyes and went limp in his brother's arms. "NOOO!" Thor shouted in pain and hugged Loki. "I will find them and tell them in your stead brother" He whispered into the other's ear before he let go and left with Jane. Loki's limp body was left in the sand and dirt.

"I take it, you know who your soulmate is, judging by your reaction. It must certainly be hard to carry all the lies of the god of mischief and lies" Odin raised his eyebrow. "I have heard quite a few stories about him indeed." You replied taking a sip of your tea. You were seated in the throne room across from Odin as he tried to answer some of your questions.
In the middle of your conversation a guard entered and as soon as he spoke up you felt a burning and tingling just underneath your chest.
"Forgive me my liege. I've returned from the Dark World with news. " The guard spoke.
"Thor?" Odin asked with hope. The guard dropped his head a bit at that "There was no sign of Thor or the weapon, but..." As soon as the man spoke up again the tingling began once again in the same place as before. "What?" the Allfather asked.
The tingles continued "We found a body."
Silence filled the air for a moment before Odin spoke "Loki"
The guard just looked at his king with sad eyes. The burning had stopped. "Thank you. Bring this one..." The old king pointed at you "...to Heimdall. Tell him to return them to Midgard. Then you may be dismissed for the day."
Your chin dropped as the guard nodded and turned to you. Oh now you were definitely not going to tell the god that Loki was alive and lying. He grabbed you roughly and brought you out of the throne room and to another room, the room you had woken up in. "Gather your belongings mortal before you return to Midgard." Midgard? Was that what they called earth. As the guard was about to close the door you shouted after him "Mister guard man! Wait!" He raised an eyebrow at you, seemingly amused, but he waited for you to speak nonetheless and so you did "Loki can't be dead." He stared at you confused "Well he is."
Another tingle. This time on your finger, but you ignored it for now seeing as you were focused on the conversation you were having "No. I don't think you understand. I-I know he is alive. I can feel it." A small smile was placed on your lips as the man before you began to laugh, he seemed curious though "And how would a little mortal like you know that? Oh you feel it, of course"
"I-I don't know how I know" That was a lie for you did know why and how "I just know." You finished, he seemed distracted though. While the guard was distracted you took a moment to look at the side of your pinkie finger. "No." You mumbled when you realized the man before you was your soulmate, disguised as a guard. "What?" The man asked. "Nothing" you lied, a small smile on your lips. You were scared yes, but he wouldn't hurt his own soulmate, now would he? "Would you please come in and close the door Loki?~" You asked innocently.
His eyes went wide, confused as to how a simple human like you could look through his disguise with such ease. So he complied. He didn't really have a choice now. As he closed the door, he dissolved his disguise. Green smoke surrounded the man as Loki the trickster god stood before you now. He was stunning. Yes there was a deep hatred for this man inside you, but he did something good today and you hadn't met him before. Well not personally, you had however seen him on TV as he tried to take over the world, you had heard he was under some kind of mind control though. "You are a curious little thing, aren't you?" Loki spoke as he approached you "Who are you and how did you know it was me mortal?"
You grinned "I'm no one important to you" Your smile widened as you noticed him being distracted again. You watched in awe as your statement appeared on the back of his hand.
The black haired god stared at you in disbelief "No...no no no no. How? That's not possible" Before you realized what was happening he was already too close for comfort. He grabbed one of your arms and shoved up your sleeves. Perhaps your senses have weakened after your many years of service. Disbelief filled Loki's eyes as they pierced your own gaze. He let go of your hand as some kind of hatred but also hope filled his eyes "You hate me. You think I'm a monster." He spoke with clenched teeth. He was trying to compose himself, to seem calm, but you easily looked through his disguise. "I do not" You replied, your (e/c) eyes were soft as you looked at him. He stood there, waiting for the tingling and burning somewhere on his pale body. But the feeling never came. You had been truthful. "I know better than to lie to my soulmate." The words escaped your throat before you could even think. "Why did you say it then?!" The god growled. "Said wha-" The mischievous man cut you off "My soulmate could never possibly be a bad person" he quoted your lie "what changed?"
"I-I" you were speechless "I said that, knowing that anyone could be my soulmate, I tried to convince myself to see things positively. I did not know it would affect you as it was about soulmates in general. I am sorry for causing you pain Loki"
"So you don't think I'm a bad person?" he asked, turning your words around "I do know of the bad things you did. You tried to take over my home. I cannot confirm that you are a completely bad person though. I-I don't know you well enough to judge. For I try to build my opinion when I get to know people myself, even if this person is the prince of lies. Besides, you can't be too bad if you are my soulmate, at least not towards me" You grinned, reaching out your hand for him to shake "I'm (Y/n) by the way."
Loki looked at your hand, a smirk on his lips as he held your hand in his and brought it up to his lips to press a small kiss against the back of it. His eyes never leaving yours as a blush took over your features "It is a pleasure to meet you (Y/n). My name is Loki and I do not think I'll send you off to Midgard just yet, if ever..." The last two words were not meant for you to hear but you did. "Before we get to know each other better my soulmate~" he smirked "I have to take care of my father and brother." He turned around and walked towards the door "You stay here for now" the man winked at you before he turned himself into the guard again and left the room.
Prompt: Two sisters fall for men that are absolute enemies. The love they have could tear all of them apart, or it could bring them together.
Word Count:1768
Warnings: Language, pain, grief, no sleeping or eating reader
Song for this part: I’ll never love again- Lady Gaga
Note: This is by far the longest thing I’ve ever written (including my novels). It’s a collaboration with the amazing @mrs-dragneel-stark-solo. It started as a funny “What if…?” and it evolved and got huge. This took two years to write. We are both proud and happy and we hope you enjoy it. It follows from Thor 1 to Endgame in the MCU. Some of the timelines may be off in order to fit certain people, and some characters may show up earlier or in different ways than they have in the movie. But for the most part, it follows the MCU. It also has a bit of crossover with some other Marvel characters throughout the story.
Masterlist for Unforeseen Chasm

When all was said and done, you were back at the Avengers compound.
Everyone remaining of the team had been gathered up. It appeared that Nat, Steve, Rhodey, Bruce, and Shannon were all still okay. Shannon was a relief, they all were really -- your friends, but Loki… Loki vanishing before you… that nearly killed you.
It’d been two days now.
Nat had tried to reach out to Clint multiple times with nothing. Shannon had tried sending a signal to Tony’s transponder endlessly since she boarded the jet back home and there was no response.
As for you, you were consumed with both grief and obsession. Thanos was alive, he was still out there somewhere, with the stones. You were in Shannon’s lab, searching. You began to try and trace the remnants of the stones. You started with the location of the snap and then went from there, trying to trace each stone. Part of the mind stone flowed in your veins, so you let the system take a bit of your blood, so that it could maybe find it somewhere on the planet, in the galaxy, in the universe. Thanos had to be somewhere.
You worked day and night. Shannon tried to get you to eat, as did Steve, but each time they came in, you simply muttered a vague response of not being hungry. Towards the end of the second day, Shannon was way past worried. Between wringing her hands on if Tony was alive, dead, or vanished and watching you spiral into madness, she was at her wits end.
“Y/N!” she barked when you refused a sandwich late at night. “This is quite enough! You need rest. You need sleep. Do you think Loki would want you killing yourself to find him?” she implored as she walked forward and tried to touch your shoulder.
Your eyes never left the map though as you continued working through physics equations, mathematical probabilities of where Thanos might’ve gone.
“Yes,” you muttered mindlessly, not really paying attention to her.
“No he wouldn’t! I didn’t know him as well as you, and we may have had our differences, but both of us love you and want you to be happy and healthy. Y/N… Y/N… Y/N!” She shouted, grabbing your shoulders and forcing you to look at her. Finally, the trance was broken. You were looking at her, paying attention to her, listening. “Do you see yourself? You’re a zombie. You’re entirely consumed with… with this! You’re not going to find him, and even if you do, what are you going to do? We lost… and that was with all of us. What do you think will happen?” she begged.
“I don’t care,” you defiantly said, pulling yourself from her grasp, going back to your work. “I will fight him alone if I have to. I have to get those stones back,” you muttered, falling back into the frenzy of madness, refusing to be rational.
“Y/N, come on, this isn’t healthy. You’re going out of your mind. You can’t face him alone. Loki wouldn’t want this.”
“Loki isn’t here!” you suddenly roared, dropping your pencil down. “He isn’t here! None of them are! Because of Thanos! Don’t you see? I have to find him! I have to! He’s taken everything from me. First, he took you, then he took all of my friends, now… Now he has literally taken the love of my life and most of my friends. Don’t you see I have to do this? I have to find him.” The mania had broken. Your eyes were alive with chaos and heartbreak. How did Shannon not see that Thanos needed to be stopped?
All she did was eye you with sorrowful pity before pulling you into a tight embrace.
“Killing yourself to find him won’t do it… We’ll take turns, yeah?” she offered with a smile as she pulled away. “I’ll stay up, run some numbers, watch the simulation… We can find him, but I want you to go get some sleep… Please? You can’t think correctly or find anyone on no sleep.”
Hesitantly, you agreed. She was right. You explained which probabilities you were running quickly before Steve offered to show you to a room. You thanked him as he put his hand on your shoulder and guided you.
-----------------------
You were lying in a room they’d made up for you, you think it was the one next to Wanda’s but at that moment in time, nothing mattered - not eating, drinking, or showering. You were tired. The grief made you tired, more tired than you think you’d ever felt in your life, but your obsession kept you going. Now that you’d actually laid down though, you were exhausted.
Grief hit you harder than any physical pain you’d ever endured. Which meant all of the things you needed to do to keep you alive and healthy vanished when Loki did. Your will to live had absolutely been obliterated.
Things had been rough all around. Everyone was still trying to find people they knew. Shannon had kept a front when the team was together but they all knew this was hitting her hard not knowing if Tony and the kid had been dusted or not.
Shannon walked into your room like she did every day to give you updates but this time around was different. After she went in she sat at the edge of her bed. Shannon had been busy looking for the people you all loved and cared for. You were tracking down the enemy. No one had found anything.
You moved the covers of your bed and patted the spot next to you. She got in and you both leaned close to each other. “How’s it going?” she asked, barely audible.
“You know exactly how it’s going,” you deadpanned, the tiniest hint of anger in your voice. You weren’t angry at her, per se, but angry at the situation and mad that she could think you were any better off than a few days ago. “How about you? Any word on Tony? Strange? Peter? Any of them?” you wondered, grasping for any kind of spark of hope or happiness.
“I know, I’m sorry.” She looked down at her hands wishing she could do more. “No. Still no word about either of them, the transponder is still not sending a signal.” She seemed to shrink down into the bed. “I wish there was some clue you know? I don’t even know if Parker is...if he’s—” She shut down a bit not wanting to think about the very real possibilities.
You reached over and grabbed her hand. “We will find them. Somehow.”
“There’s only so much hope we can have and I'm trying my hardest to keep strong for everyone, you know?” She squeezed your hand looking up at you. “They keep looking to me as if though I’m Tony and there’s that pager beeping with still no clue as to who it's meant for...”
“Because you’re just like him,” you said with the smallest of smiles. “That’s why he married you. You two are two peas in a pod. You're the idea people. You two share a brain, I swear. He moves, you move. He thinks of something and you finish the thought. If you have an idea, he helps make it a reality. You two are perfect for each other. But above all of that, you’re what usually holds this team together, Shan. They need you for guidance and ideas. Steve lost Sam and Bucky, and now with Tony… He has you and Nat, that’s it. The rest of them, they need you.”
Shannon looked up to you from her wedding ring. “I’m not sure I know what to do though...like you said part of my brain is missing and I’m scrawling to figure this out. I need your help Y/N/N, how do I do this? Where do I start, who can I question when there’s no clues?” She leaned her head on your leg, at some point moved so far down that she was practically covered by the duvet. “I just wish this was some sick joke or nightmare and that we’ll wake up to the guys walking in with breakfast for us after a long night of being at the lab.” Her voice cracked.
“Believe me, if wishes alone could’ve brought them back… they’d all be here by now by me alone.” You started to cry, your never ending habit lately. You swore you cried more than you breathed lately. “I miss him so much, you know? I wish I knew how to help you, Shan, I really do, but all I can think of is how to get to Thanos, how to maybe get everyone back and I… I’m not getting anywhere.” You sighed heavily. “I’m sorry I’m such a let down. I wished I could do one thing. I could’ve fought Thanos. I should’ve been fighting him. Not Steve and Bucky and you and Wanda. It should’ve been me. You told me to protect everyone… I didn’t do that. I failed you, I failed everyone. Hell, I failed the whole universe.”
“No, Y/N/N, don’t think that! I wish we could both hide in here but I know Steve wouldn't let me.” She peaked from under the covers. “Feels like you can’t breathe? Like there’s a literal part that's not functioning right? There’s so many things I wish I had done differently, you know?” She pulled you closer to her. “I know we’ll find a way to bring them back. Just too much to handle right now.”
“I’m not so sure about that. I also think Steve knows better than to come bother me right now, he may lose his life over it. Not to mention, I’m not essential. I don’t think anyone would miss me if I were gone, besides you.” You sighed. “You wish you had done things differently?” You scoffed. “I let Thanos get away. I should’ve just left Proxima alone. I should’ve been guarding Vision, not Wanda. There are a million things I could’ve done differently to give us a different turn out. But most of the time, yeah… I can’t breathe.”
“I know,” she concurred, her voice thick.
You tried to swallow your sobs for just a moment before you turned to her and said, “But there is still hope for you. Don’t let go of that.”
“I’m trying not to, but it’s hard. And I have to lead this team, but I’m losing hope every minute Tony isn’t here.”
“Loki, darling,” Frigga murmurs, “Are you listening to me?” The God of Mischief turns away from the window and the maiden that spurrned him and gives his mother a weak smile, “Of course, Mother.” She smiles, “What did I say?” He barks a laugh and sighs, “There’s no use lying to you, is there?”
She pats his hand sympathetically and kisses his cheek, “My son,” she says bracingly, “I don’t exaggerate when I say you could easily do better.” Loki sighs, “I don’t want better,” he says, “I want Lissa” She smiles a little sadly. Her son’s heart was fragile. Jealously guarded. And now it was broken. Broken by someone unworthy of the honor of holding it.
He moved back to the tea table and poured her a cup to get away from the window, “Tell me again, Mother,” he coaxes, “I’ll listen.” She moves to her chair and accepts the cup with a smile, “We have an envoy coming,” she repeats. “An envoy?” Loki asks, “Is Father avoiding war or starting one?” Frigga smiled ruefully, “Neither, you wicked Boy. He wishes to negotiate trade.”
“A trade of what?” Loki asked sipping his tea. “Enchantments,” Frigga said simply, “Your father has long coveted Fae magic and he has requested that they send their ambassador to broker the deal.” Loki frowned, “The Fae do not just send ambassadors.” Frigga hummed in agreement, “Indeed not. They’re sending a member of the royal family with a small retinue.” Loki quirked an eyebrow, “Is a trade all Father wishes to broker.” Frigga half shrugged elegantly, “That I do not know. Your father does not share all his plans with me. I only know that he wishes them to be welcomed in grandest fashion and has forbidden Thor from staging any mock battles.” Loki nodded, “Ah, then we’re dealing with Bright court fae.” His mother laughed softly, “Yes, I’m afraid his last dealings with Fae taught your father a valuable lesson. He wasn’t about to get burnt twice. The rebellion they stirred up in the 9 realms certainly put him to the test.”
Frigga leaves him shortly after that and leaves him thinking. He knows there is no way Odin is bartering for magic. That enchantments are all he wants. Odin is crafty. Crazy like a fox. One does not rule for millennia if they are not. He knows that Magic is not all that’s coming to Asgard and he braces himself for impact. He doesn't know what is coming but he can feel the impending chaos. He can feel it like he can feel the shift of the wind as he leans on the balcony railing. He snorts to himself bitterly, the only good thing to come out of this is that it will certainly distract him from the searing pain he felt watching Lissa bat her eyes at Fandral. That stupid lothario. He didn’t even know her name. Or that there was a flower in his mother’s garden that matched her eyes perfectly. He didn’t deserve her, but she had made her choice. She had made her decision and Loki would abide by it.
_______
The morning that the Ambassador arrived dawned bright and clear. Loki could feel the buzz of tension and chaos in the Palace. Servants bustled and the smell of a feast being prepared made his mouth water involuntarily. It was clear that his parents had decided that this envoy was worthy of a full Asgardian welcome. Thor fell into step beside him as he strode briskly past where Fandral was flirting with a pretty maid. One that was not Lissa. “Brother,” Loki said, “I take it you’ve all decided to ignore Father’s order and stage a mock battle to demonstrate your skills?” Thor laughed and clapped Loki on the back, squeezing the back of his neck affectionately, “You’re very clever brother. But Father and I have compromised on a tournament.” Loki smirked, “Children’s games?” he scoffed. Thor boomed a laugh, “Children’s games for a fool's errand,” he scoffs in return, “I think Father has a mind to Marry me to one of these Fae creatures.” Loki rolled his eyes, “Or he means to embroil us in a conflict of some description. He may not mean to find you a bride. I think he knows your heart is set on Sif.” Thor snorted, “Sif certainly seems to think so.”
“Trouble in paradise?” Loki asked archly. Thor opens his mouth to reply but When Frigga gestures them forward to stand near their father to receive the Ambassador, there is no time.
The fanfare is deafening and triumphant as you sweep through the doors with your retinue in two. You’re dressed from head to toe in resplendent violet fabric embroidered with arcane silver patterns. Your hair is blazing red. A rich auburn that offsets your emerald eyes. You look like fall incarnate. Ripe curves and plush lips beckoned welcomingly and Loki felt his mouth go dry. For a moment he wanted to heed that call and pin you against the nearest wall and kiss you. Senseless. Until you would let him take you in front of everyone. The image is so vivid and burns so brightly that Thor stutters for a moment before pretending to cough to cover the laugh. His powers, contrary to what he told Midgardians nowadays, were not limited to thunder. He had a certain control over fertility and with it arousal. Frigga shot both of her Sons a look just as you paused in front of them to be announced. “Princess Y/N. Keeper of Secrets, Mistress of the Western Forrest. Bright Born Granddaughter of Queen Titania. Lady of the Lyonesse.” Loki Can’t breathe as you sink into a courtsey, affording him an entirely too tantalizing view of your bosom. Thor kicks his ankle before you stand up straight again and Frigga sweeps forward to welcome you, kissing you on either cheek. “Welcome, Princess,” She says kindly.
She sees the wariness in your eyes and the composure you’re feigning to avoid causing offense. “Thank you, your majesty,” you say blushing sweetly, “I must say, this is all more than I expected. I am but my Grandmother’s humble servant and it is an honor to act on her behalf to bring glory to both our kingdoms.” Frigga beams and kisses your cheek again, “Well, before we get down to brass tacks,” she says, taking her place at Odin’s side again, “You must rest. The journey can be tiring, I know. And I will not have it said that Asgard does not take the best care of her guests.” You smile politely and fall into another grateful curtsey as a bevy of Asgardian servants sweep you to your rooms to rest and refresh yourself before being thrown into the evening’s festivities.
“A lovely girl,” Frigga declares, charmed. “Indeed,” Odin says, “But I think, a bit young to be a proper envoy. I had hoped that Titania wouldn’t send her youngest.” The queen laughs softly, “Her youngest, but also her most clever. I think we’ll be pleased with her.”
“Indeed,” Thor says, “But I do think it would be appropriate to appoint her a... guide. Asgard can be a confusing and dangerous place.” Odin makes a soft thoughtful noise and turns to address his eldest son, “And who would you appoint?” Thor bites the inside of his cheek to keep from smirking, “Loki of course. Who else knows the ins and outs of Asgard’s dangers better than he... He caused most of them after all.”
“Capital idea!” Frigga exclaimed, “Loki, darling, you’ll do it won’t you?” Loki took a deep breath, mentally preparing his litany of rude things to call his brother when they were alone, “Of course, Mother,” he said smiling brightly, praying to the Norns that your personality would be enough to quell the lust he felt for your body.
The dread that had overwashed their expressions of happiness they had a mere minutes ago..
“Quick get as many people on the backup orgie ship. The two of you are our last Valkyries take as many you can fit on that ship. You are their protectors get them to safety.”
“Loki, no. I won’t leave you!”
“You have to, especially now. Love, for that small moment where you told me the news, believe me it was truly one of the happiest moments in my long life. But for now, You have to go. Keep yourself and the little one safe. I promise we will see each other again.”
“Asgard isn't a place, it's a people, now go. Thor, Heimdell, and I will stay behind to protect everyone else.”
“Loki, charming others will not keep you alive forever. when he sees you he will try and kill you-”
“Try, he will. I managed to charm my way you, a high honor I must add. Plus, darling we’ll be fine. We have a Hulk. Now go. We will see each other on Midguard.”
“I love you.”
His green-blue eyes bore into yours, foreheads touching, he glanced down then back to you, giving you one last chaste kiss. This wouldn't be it, not for you; placing you arms around his tall frame and pulling him in for heated passionate kiss. Only breaking apart by the sound of Valkyrie’s call.
“That was something. Sorry to interrupt this very grossly sentimental goodbye, but we really have to go.”
“Don't try anything she's my girl”.
“Woman.” Valkyrie intercepted. “She's a woman, can't and won't make any promises mate. Not like we can get drunk together anymore to get in the mood.”
Nononono what is she still doing here? He gave a panicked silent look over to Thor, then to Thanos, and didn't even dare to look back at you in order to not give away your hidden location. That stubborn woman. Couldn't even follow through once. Then it happened, the attempted bargaining of the tesseract, the conjuring of his blade.
“Loki, no!”
“the sun will shine on us again, brother.”
You felt your heart had broken in that instant.
I'm pregnant, Loki. Those words echoed in his mind, as he remembered you announcing it not that long of a moment ago when you were all looking out the viewport into space into your unknown future. It was a happy moment. A calm. quite literally the calm before the storm. He was only truly happy when he was with you. Have it be on asgard before you were banished by his father. In Sakar for the weeks of little time. Making love to you, making up for lost time.
“No resurrections this time.”
“NOOO!!!” you ran to him, you ran to his cold, unmoving body, throwing yourself onto the ground with him; the last of the color his lifeforce had gone. ”Loki. Loki please wake up. Loki! No! Get up!”
“You promised me! I'm supposed to die before you!- I'm the meekly fragile Midgardian, remember? You're a god. You can't just leave me. You can't leave us. We just got you back.”
Thanos’ colossus shadow loomed over you on the ground trying to hold back the tears that so desperately wanted to be shed.
“And who are you my darling to be mourning over this traitor?”
If Loki had taught you one thing about deceit and illusion, it was how to lie; to always put up a front in the face of survival. Every part of your body told you to fight to get revenge for your lover and the father of your unborn child, but for now you had to think of a way to keep yourself alive as he would have wanted.
“I am Evix Ria,” (not your real name, but a stage name for your time in the Game of Champions), “of Sakar, a champion for the Grandmaster, a warrior, and a loyal servant to-”
He looked and took notice of the tattoo on your forearm that of the Valkyries.
“The first and only Midgardian Valkyrie. What a prize you are. But you are no prize are you my lovely? You have fought to be your own, to prove to others your power. With me, you can ascend to that power you have craved. That is if you make it through my plans. Stand up. You will no longer be a servant. If you show your loyalty to me, and fight along my side I will give you the 9opportunity; a chance to live. Do not betray me or your fate will be the same as the rest of these Asgardians.”
You subtly glanced over to Thor, letting out a small subtle grunt along with a nod, signaling to take that offer. He trusts you, and he knew that you would not betray your family. That you would do anything to keep yourself alive for your child. It was during your stay in Sakar that Loki got you pregnant, after being reunited after a long time apart, you spent weeks together rekindling an old bind. You were one of two of the last Valkyries banished for an affair had with the young prince, when it was prohibited. Deciding to go up the ranks as the Grandmasters guard, you made a place for yourself in Sakar. Thor knew your relationship with his brother was true. That Loki was entirely in love with you, and that you should have never of have been banished. The reunion in Sakar just solidified all the loose ends. You covered for Loki, proclaiming all of Loki’s sayings as truth. The grandmaster had taken a liking to you two together, and as proclamation of peace offered you to him as a gift.
Both of you didn't mind, in fact you both tried to surprise smiles. With this you would have a ceremony which resembled a marriage ceremony, with him (the grandmaster), and Loki Loki did not enjoy the idea of marrying the grandmaster, lesser than the grandmaster blasting about how great your honeymoon between all you would be. He could not tolerate another man being with you under his presence. Once alone, you tried to comfort Loki. Yes, this man was a sex crazed nymphomaniac, but he was sterile. Not that he was as interested as being with an old toy that he had many times before, than the new beautifully chiseled one he had just gained with Loki..
Loki had entrusted his brother with this piece of knowledge, for him to keep you and his son safe. To make you two his priority. That’s why it hurt him to send you off on the last ship. To send you off with the Titan, because he knew that if you resisted at that moment Loki’s sacrifice would have been for nothing.

Ragnarok.
All the people of Asgard know the legend of this unique and catastrophic event. It’s the destruction of Asgard, and of his people.
No one, though, had ever really thought about it, until Asgard lost the King of the Gods.
Odin is dead.
In the last two years, while we thought that Odin sat on the throne, actually Loki was: he had made everyone believe that he was dead, and had taken his father’s place.
I cried Loki’s death. He and I are friends since childhood; along with Thor, we were inseparable. Although they were two princes, and I.. a normal person, they were very kind to me. The friendship between me and Loki is much stronger than that between me and Thor.
In fact, as in a children’s fairy tale, I fell in love with Loki. Too bad he doesn’t know; I decided not to say anything to him. His rejection would be too embarrassing, and my heart would break.
When Thor found out what Loki did, they started off in search of Odin; but now it was all over. The King of the Gods is dead, and this led to the release of Hela, the Goddess of Death. Thor and Loki’s sister.
The two Gods tried to stop her, but it was useless.
Thus, while Thor and Loki are dispersed, to Asgard chaos reigns. After completely destroying the army, Hela sat on the throne, ready to conquer the other kingdoms; but, coming to the Bifrost, she discovered that the Sword -the weapon to activate the Bifrost- had been stolen.
I know exactly who took the Sword: Heimdall, who was hiding in the mountains of Asgard. He, after he was able to find me, asked me to help him. In fact, we are trying to save more Asgardians as possible from Hela.
For now we are hidden, but time is running out, and soon the Goddess of Death will find us.
I’m sitting next to some kids, and I try to reassure them, telling them that everything will be fine, and that soon the God of Thunder will save us. Will it really happen? Thor can’t be dead, and even Loki.. I know that both are alive, and they will come back to help us.
“Y/n?”
I raise my eyes, and I see Heimdall quickly walking toward me; something is going to happen, I understand from his eyes.
His eyes are beautiful; every time I look at them, they always have a strange light, and their color, a shining gold, makes me feel like it’s all going to be fine in one way or the other. Behind Heidmall, there’s the splendid Brifost Sword, which he protects with his own life.
“Heimdall, what happens?”
I know it’s a stupid question; only one thing can disturb Heimdall. The arrival of Hela. In fact, he warns me in a low voice that we must bring all the people away from where we are now, before the Goddess arrives. All of us, we head to Brifost; maybe, if Hela is distracted, Heimdall can use the Sword, and we can run away. But when we get to the Bridge, waiting for us is a huge monster with the appearance of a wolf: it’s Fenrir, Hela’s personal animal.
I scream to people to go back, but on the other side of the Bridge are coming Hela soldiers. We are trapped.
I look at Heimdall, and nodding toward him, I pull my daggers -Loki has given them to me so many years ago- and I prepare for the battle. Fenrir roars, and starts running toward us. I try to use my body as a shield, but the more he approaches, and the more I feel smaller than he is.
Suddenly, we hear noises in the distance; I look up, and I see a small ship coming towards us. From inside it falls something: a huge green creature, which immediately launches on Fenrir.
The ship from where the strange creature falls stops on the Bridge, and I see two people coming out from the inside. A woman, and Thor. I smile, and I run fast to him.
“Y/n!”
Thor embraces me, while he tells me he’s happy to see that I’m fine. My smile soon disappears, noticing the absence of someone. Loki is not together with his brother.
“Loki is alive, Y/n. But I don’t think we’ll see him.”
A huge hole is formed in my stomach; Loki is alive. But he preferred to be saved, to save his people. I nod, accepting the reality. Perhaps Thor has always been right: Loki only cares about himself.
Thor moves away from me, headed toward Hela, intending to fight her. Meanwhile, I help people walk to the entrance of the Bifrost, but again, we are trapped. Outside, there are other soldiers who run toward us.
I begin to attack them, together with the other Asgardians who want to defend their lives and that of others, even if they aren’t soldiers. I’ve got the cable to fight –in fact, Loki and Thor taught me many fighting techniques when we were little- but I’m just me against hundreds of warriors. When it seems that everything is lost, from the fog, a strange creature appears, which seems to be entirely made of stone. At first, he seems to rise, but then I realize he’s standing on a huge spaceship, which it is approached to the bridge.
Other creatures come out of the ship, flinging on the soldiers of Hela; finally, their leader comes out of the ship: Loki. I widened my eyes when I see him get off the ship’s ramp with a smile on his face.
“Please, feel free to come down.”
People start running to the spaceship to get safe, while some of them continue to fight. I keep staring at Loki, who finally notices my presence in the midst of all this chaos; I thought I would never see him again.
Suddenly, someone makes me back to reality: one of Hela’s soldiers strikes me behind, clenching his hands around my throat. I give him an elbow right in the stomach, and turning around, I stab him with my dagger. The soldier falls to the ground, lifeless.
“I note with pleasure that you’ve become stronger.”
I turn around, and I see Loki approaching me; the first thing I would do is hug him and squeeze strong to me, but I refrain. Not to let him understand the feelings that I feel, I’ve always tried to make him believe that jokingly I hate him.
"Glad to see you, Loki. I thought you were dead. Again.”
Loki smiles, but we don’t have much time to chat; many other soldiers are threatening us.
Meanwhile, the battle of Thor against Hela moves to the bridge; Thor seems to have become stronger, though, Hela is very powerful, and seems to have the best on his brother.
So, Thor comes up with an idea, a weird and crazy idea: to make the Ragnarok happen.
His plan is to awaken Surtur, and let him fight with Hela, until the complete destruction of Asgard.
However, Surtur’s crown is in the castle, where Odin preserved the most important and powerful relics.
It’ll be Loki to go to the castle, and take the crown, while Thor distracts Hela.
“I’m going with Loki.” I tell the two brothers, who they immediately beg me to get on the ship and save me, along with the other Asgardians.
“I can’t escape, Thor. I want to fight. And then someone has to check that Loki doesn’t do stupid things. Again.”
Me and Thor look at the God of Mischief, who pretending to be offended by my words, he rolls his eyes.
In recent years, Loki has done horrible things –he tried to conquer a world that it didn’t belong to him, and then he faked his death, and left Odin alone on Earth- but in spite of everything, I can’t hate him. He’s still Loki, my friend.
Thor tells me to be careful, and after hugging him, I follow Loki in the castle.
This is the craziest plan I ever heard, I think to myself as I walk silently through the corridors of the castle along with Loki.
We should try to save our home, and instead we are about to resurrect Surtur, who will destroy it. And if we can’t even stop Hela with him? We will all die.
“Are you all right?”
I turn to Loki, who looks at me worried. Even if it doesn’t seem, I can feel that he is also afraid of what might happen.
Before I didn’t have time to observe him well; his hair grew a little. Seeing Thor with short hair, I thought how Loki would be without his long hair. It would emphasize his face and pale skin. He’s wearing different clothes from those he always wears; this uniform is perfect for him. But I believe that whatever he wore, I would love it. Now that I think, if Loki and I die, he will never know that I’m in love with him.
“We’re about to destroy Asgard. Our people might die. Yeah, never been better.” I say sarcastically. Should I tell him? I’m so afraid..
Finally, I and Loki arrive in the relics room, and we walk quickly toward the crown of Surtur; suddenly, however, Loki stops. I turn to look at what has attracted his attention: the Tesseract.
“Loki.. don’t even think about it.”
Loki looks at me, and sighing, he begins to walk again.
“I don’t want to steal the Tesseract. Again.”
A sad smile comes to my face; because of Tesseract, Loki killed innocent people, but eventually Thor managed to stop him.
“You don’t want to steal it again, I know. I feel it.”
“Really? And what do you feel? I betrayed my brother, more than once.”
As Loki says these words, he approaches the Surtur crown, and after taking it from his hands, I and he go away, ready to resurrect the creature.
“You betrayed Thor, but you’ve always come back to him to help him. When Thor came back, he told me I would never see you again. Yet you are here, to try to save your people. Our people.”
Loki looks at me while still holding Surtur’s crown. I approach to him, and as I recover the crown, our hands touch.
“Actually Loki, God of Mischief, you’re a good man.”
I try to say more; maybe this is the exact time I should tell Loki that I love him. Like in a fairy tale...
Instead, I lower my gaze, remaining in silence. Then, I approach the Fire of Life, and I put the Surtur crown inside. As soon as I walk away, everything around me and Loki begins to shake. Me and the God of Mischief exchange a look, and immediately we run as fast as possible towards the castle doors, to go out and reach safety. Surtur is about to arrive, and he will soon destroy the first thing he will be facing: the castle. The place where exactly we are now and Loki.
I’m running as fast as possible, while Loki is exactly in front of me. Suddenly, I see cracks forming on the walls, growing more and more up to the ceiling. I block when I see part of the walls fall straight to me. I cover my head with my arms, but I feel my body move; when I open my eyes, I see Loki’s face a few inches from mine, he’s obviously worried.
“Are you okay?” he asks me as I swallow deeply; it’s the first time that he’s so close to me, and despite everything around us is falling, I can’t help but think of his lips so close to mine.
Unable to say a word, all I do is nod.
Loki helps me to get up, and immediately we start to run away. On the corner of my eye, I look behind what’s going on; the castle is on fire.
Suddenly, I snatch myself against Loki’s back; I turn to find out why he stopped, and my body freezes. The fire has now surrounded us.
“What are we going to do?” I scream to Loki. He approaches me, and he tightens my body to his; I blush, and not because of the fire.
“Close your eyes.”
At my awakening, everything is confused.
The first thing I remember is the conversation between myself and Loki; then I threw Surtur’s crown into the fire, and then his awakening.
The castle was beginning to fall one piece at a time, due to Surtur growing more and more. Loki and I started to run, and then I remember anything else. Maybe something hit me, maybe I fainted.
I look around: surely we are no longer on Asgard. The room I am in isn’t very big, there is only one bed, where I’m relaxed, a small furniture with a large mirror, and a window. I get up quickly, and approaching the window, I’m breathless. Outside there’s.. nothing. It’s all dark, here and there are some rocks, some smaller, some bigger. They are asteroids. We are in the space.
The door behind me opens, and Thor enters in the room. He looks at the bed, but when he sees that it’s empty, he glances through the room until his eyes stand on me.
“Thor.”
He comes to me, and clutches me in his arms, whispering to be happy that finally I woke up.
“What happened?”
“I don’t know. Surtur was born, the castle was destroyed, and before I got on the ship, I saw you lying on the Bridge, helpless. I took you in my arms, and then we escaped.”
“Where’s Loki?”
Thor low the gaze to avoid mine; he sits on the bed, and I follow him. His silence makes me feel uncomfortable; I’m afraid of what he will say.
“I think.. I don’t know, maybe.. Loki isn’t there. I didn’t find him.”
I froze; Thor only found me on the Bridge. But maybe Loki escaped alone, maybe he didn’t want to come with us. The God of Mischief is always saved... right?
“He’s alive, Thor. I feel it. Sooner or later we’ll see him.”
Thor looks at me, and nodding at my words of hope, he smiles. He still loves his brother after all. He also hopes that Loki is fine.
About twenty minutes later, I sit next to the window of my room, watching the infinite darkness of space; from Asgard I saw the sky in a completely different way. Only now I understand his true beauty. I think back to Loki, and because he didn’t want to come with us on the ship. Why did he want to leave us again? Why did he abandon me again?
“Are you sad for something?”
I jump, and in front of me, just a few feet away, there’s Loki, with a brilliant smile on his face. I smile, and I step forward toward him to embrace him, but immediately I stop. Loki seems confused; is he really that in front of me, or is it just an illusion?
“Why every time something horrible happens, you make everybody believe that you are dead, and in fact you are alive?”
“It must be my nature.” Loki says, smiling; I roll my eyes, but his laughter makes me smile too. If he’s here, illusion or not, at least means he’s alive.
"What happened in the castle?”
“The fire enveloped us; I hold you to me, and we’re gone because of my powers. But you’re faint; don’t worry. It happens when you’re too close to a beautiful God like me.”
I make a hysterical laugh when I hear his words; the funny thing is that he’s right. Well, probably I’m fainted because the fire, and the sudden ’teleporter’. But a bit is also his fault.
“I’m glad you’re alive Loki. Even if you’re not really here.”
Loki furrows, and slowly he takes a few steps toward me; my body freezes as he gets closer and closer. I’m afraid if I try to touch him, he can disappear, and this time forever.
“Y/n, I’m really here.” Loki says as if he had read my thoughts. His hand is approaching my face, and a shiver runs through my back when Loki’s soft hand touches my cheek. I look up, and my eyes meet his; Loki is getting closer to me, and I’m breathless. Is he really doing what he is doing? Loki, the God of Mischief, my friend that I love since I was a child, and I never said anything to him.. he’s kissing me. I don’t move, and I feel my face blush at the same time when Loki turns away from me, a grin appears on his face.
“W-why did you do it?” I ask Loki with the few words I can say.
“You thought I was just an illusion.”
“Well, you could shake my hand, or hug me, or give me a slap, or shake my hand..”
I close my mouth, no longer knowing what to say. Loki stares at me with a grin on his face as I feel more embarrassed.
It was dark, a ringing in her ear forced (Name) to wake up. The light in the room blinded her as she closed her eyes as she noticed her hands were bound together with cuffs. A cough caught her attention as she opened her eyes and forced her eyes to adjust.
“Glad you’re finally awake (Full Name). I must say...your record perceives you. Gone through multiple boarding schools of military orientated practices, a knowledge of multiple languages… skilled in weaponry and hand to hand combat; excels in far range sniping and close combat” spoke a man in a suit.
(Name) glared at him as he sat in front of her with her file opened; photos of her when she was younger and through her young adult life. She saw a photo of her own father in the file
“Father was a alchemist, and a professor of bio-engineering-”
“Why not just get to the point and tell why I’m here” she snapped
“Temper, temper. The plan was to obtain Loki and deal with him, however… we are looking for new recruits for the T.V.A”
“...T.V.A? Like Tennessee Valley Authority? Well this seems a little odd what do they want with Loki?” (Name) snapped
“No no no. As in Time Variance Authority we are an agency that monitors the realities throughout the multiverse and we attempt to keep temporal interference to a minimum” explained the man in the suit
“Once again..what does this have to do with Loki? Honest the last person you want bouncing back and forth between time and space”
“That is true...but he goes off on doing things in his own gain. If he wants to stay alive he will obey”
Silence in the interrogation room. The two in a stare off (Name) was unsure as to why this time police wanted Loki to work for them. Granted he is very powerful and is the only one that she knows is able to hardness any power if he puts his mind to it.
***
Loki was awake; the rage in him was boiling as he found himself worrying for the Midgardian agent. He knew it would prove to bite him in the back for she is now considered a weakness. But the anger for having been capture was just an add on
“Loki of Asgard. Burden with glorious purpose. Welcome to T.V.A. We have a proposition for you that you cannot refuse” said a man in a suite, the same one that approached him before he succumbed to darkness.
“I highly doubt that” Loki glared
“Mmhmm. Join our organization; Time Variance Authority or T.V.A wishes to create an alliance with you to take out some disruptive individuals that wish to disrupt the balance of the multiverse time continuum” spoke the man as he sat in front of the restrained Loki
“And if I refuse?” Loki asked with boredom
“Death...Life imprisonment” shrugged the man in the suit.
Loki was not amused and scoffed as he smirked at the man
“If I do take on this proposition… I will burn this place to the ground”
The men interrogating (Name) and Loki stood up grabbing the files and looked at them
“Do you accept?”
A pause as Loki smirked and (Name) stayed with a stoic emotionless expression
“Convince me”

(Name) was escorted to an elevator still restrained and told to keep the doors open until he got back, if she tried to escape the neck piece would shock her unconscious. She complied, not wanting to be tazed yet again.
She not even five minutes had passed when she saw Loki walk in with the man she was being interrogated with. Loki gave her a look almost asking what was wrong and she just shook her head
“So where exactly are you taking us somewhere to kill us?” Loki spoke nonchalantly as (Name) send him a glare
“No I’m taking you both somewhere to talk” spoke the man in the suit
“Well I don’t like to talk” Loki glared as (Name) scoffed
“But you do like to lie. Which. You. just. Did” spoke the man as he looked to Loki “and we all know you love to talk… talkie talkie”
Loki and (Name) shared a look then to the man in slight shock
“How long have you been here?” (Name) asked
“Well it’s hard to say. You know time passes differently down here in the T.V.A” shrugged the man in the suit
“What does that mean?” Loki asked as the man pats Loki’s back to get him out of the elevator and mentioned a hand for (Name) to follow behind.
Prompt: Two sisters fall for men that are absolute enemies. The love they have could tear all of them apart, or it could bring them together.

Not a soul spoke during the entire ride.
You sat between Loki and Shannon, holding their hands. Shannon rested her head on your shoulder and you looked to Loki with love and concern in your eyes. You worried about Thor, if he was still alive. What he was doing.
You shouldn’t have let Proxima go. You should’ve killed them both.
But regret and hindsight would give you nothing here. You focused on the future.
All of you arrived in Wakanda. Everyone formed a game plan.
It was clear. Wanda stayed with Shuri to protect Vision and the stone. The rest of you were down on the ground, keeping the army focused on you.
All of you got to your battle stations. Proxima walked up to the barrier with another mindless oaf of Thanos’s. You, Steve, Nat, and T’Challa walked down to greet her.
“How’s Corvus?” you greeted with a grin.
“You will pay for his life with yours,” she vowed. “So weak. You couldn't even capture this puny planet.”
“I believe you’re jealous that he sent me, and not you to do the job. Perhaps he knew I was more capable.”
“More capable of failure.”
“You’ll become very good acquaintances with failure, Proxima.”
“Thanos is in Wakanda now, he will have nothing but blood and dust,” T’Challa vowed.
“We… have blood to spare,” she promised and on her signal, the ships opened up. You signaled to the other three it was time to fall back in line, just to see that they had released creatures of mayhem. They reached the barrier and began clawing through it, killing themselves to get through.
Eventually, Bruce realized that if they couldn’t get in the front, they would try to go in the back and that meant nothing between Vision and Thanos.
So Steve and T’Challa decided to open the front barrier to keep the attention here.
When they did, all hell broke loose. Steve and T’Challa bounded forward, far ahead of anyone else, charging into action as they slammed into some of the creatures. Loki quickly pulled out daggers, fighting, hitting, kicking, even casting illusions where he could to surprise some creatures. You used your power to grab some creatures, tear them apart, or slam them into the ground. You electrified them, you charged stones and threw them at them.
The Wakandian army did fantastically as they fought hard and quick.
Air support from Sam and Rhodey helped with massive explosions. Natasha was her great self, moving quicker than the eye could see. Bucky had excellent marksmanship. But there were just too many. Pietro charged through the crowd, surprising several creatures.
You slammed your fist into the ground, shooting your electric energy into the ground as it shot out like roots and came up, electrifying some of the enemy. You looked to your right and Bucky had been brought down by one of the creatures, so you picked the creature up using your powers and tore it apart.
He let out a labored breath and said, “Thanks,” as he stood up and ran to help Shannon.
“Bucky, there’s three of them at six o’clock,” Shannon said over the intercom.
“Thanks, doll, I got them heading to you now. Looks like a hoard’s headed your way.”
“I’ll see how much I can handle until then,” she grunted while slicing a creature in the neck and jumping out of the way of the other one.
This was your new goal, to help everyone on the battlefield. Shannon wouldn’t need help most likely, so you didn’t worry about her too much.
T'Challa had been grabbed by a beast and you ran over, putting your hand on it, charging it until it caught fire from within. Suddenly, Proxima and Cull Obsidian entered the area. His hammer knocked Rhodey out of the sky, you were too preoccupied helping Bucky. He just got knocked off his footing and had to stab a creature off of him. You picked it up with your powers and ripped it apart, blood spilling all over Bucky. You wanted to go face Proxima and Cull Obsidian but you couldn’t. You were too busy. Another beast had Steve pinned against a rock, as he tried to get away, two more began attacking him. Using your powers, you flew up and cast your electric powers onto them, freeing Steve. Another glance behind you and Bruce was being overcome. You flew over there and charged his suit.
“Open fire, Bruce!” you shouted and he did as he was told. Firing on each one fo them, then pulling them off. Your power gave the suit an extra boost of power.
“I've got you, Y/N!” Shannon yelled extending her energy towards you so that the boost would be amplified even stronger.
Next you held your hands high above your head, pulling in all the charge you could with the help of Shannon’s powers before launching them into the ground. It electrified everything in a one hundred foot radius, killing fifty or so creatures.
Shannon was holding her own, pulling from different directions, there just too many and even with her range of powers their numbers just kept increasing. She kept jumping into the air and flying off to another spot but the creatures seemed to be intent on stopping her at all costs.
“Guys, I could use some help over here!” she yelled over the intercom. She kept trying to steer them away from where Wanda and Vision were but to no avail they just kept pushing her closer to the tower. “Wanda, how's it coming along up there?” she grunted as she got three more to fall off the building walls.
“We’re still not done. We need more time,” she responded.
“I’m gonna keep trying to get them away. I don’t know how much more time I can get you.” Six more appeared as the ones falling hit the ground. “Y/N, how’s it looking over on your end?”
“I’ve been better, Shan. I’ll head over when I--” you had to stop and duck but then another creature jumped on your back. You charged your hands before grabbing the thing off you. “It’ll be a bit before I can get there,” you said into your coms.
“Get here when you can, if not keep the others safe,” was her only command.
“Shannon, I’m on my way,” Steve managed to grunt out making a run for her side.
“Good to hear your voice, Stevie,” she called out to him. “Okay, on my mark throw your shield high above me.”
“Ready when you are,” was all she heard. She figured with the speed of the shield and the strength he had, she could push it further with a gust of air and electrify it creating a boomerang bolt knocking out the growing hoard.
“Now!”
The shield flew right above her and at just the right angle that it not only knocked the mountain that had formed, but created a domino effect wiping out all the ones that had been surrounding the tower.
“Watch out, Cap that shield might still be charged.”
“Can you try to uncharge it?” he asked her, hoping to be able to use it again.
“There’s only one way to find out!” She ran after the shield and with her strength, jumped and let her body reabsorb her energy and created a ball of lighting and shot it at one of the ships that had been near the entrance of the barrier.
It successfully blew up one of the ships and knocked down the one next to it.
“How long until you can make that energy again?” Nat asked.
“Give me a minute. I need to recharge the energy if I can get it large enough it should destroy the other ships and any of these fuckers near them.” No one’s ever heard her swear during a fight.
“Language,” Bruce joked over the intercom.
“Really?” Steve muttered, shaking his head “You guys really aren’t going to let that one go are you?”
“Alright, anyone that’s nearby run for cover, this is bigger than I had planned for. I don’t know how bad the impact will be.”
Anyone that looked over was surprised to see a ship-sized flaming ball or energy fly over their heads and straight for the aircrafts. The impact shook the ground, knocking people off their feet and opened up cracks in the ground and swallowing up creatures and land.
Just then, Thor entered the battlefield. Relief flooded you as you gazed over at him, so happy to see him. He struck some creatures upon landing and demanded they bring him Thanos. The two of you fought side by side for a bit, feeding off each other’s emotional energy.
Loki was doing his absolute best, fighting off the creatures, stabbing them, slamming them into the ground. At one point you two were back to back, the creatures had somewhat pushed you that way. Until you had to launch a beast over your head and it forced you to turn around and you were now facing the love of your life.
He winked at you and you rolled your eyes.
“Didn’t think it would be this hard,” you remarked as a peaceful moment befell around you two. There was a wide radius around you that no one needed help or any enemies were charging at you.
“There’s something I need to speak with you about when this is all over,” he said.
“Oh? Sounds serious,” you mused in a teaseful tone before slicing through a creature that was running towards you.
“It is,” he said with a heavy tone before there was a rumbling outside of the forcefield. The rumbling and breaking of ground continued until it got under the dome and exposed what was coming.
Threshers (sets of massive, motorized spiked wheels, intended for nothing more than shredding everything in their paths) were suddenly under the forcefield and on the field, tearing through everything and every one.
T’Challa ordered everyone to fall back, and they began doing so until you glanced up and saw Okoye and Natasha just in front of one of the threshers. Your eyes went wide before you threw out your purple energy and halted the thresher just before it reached them. Using your power, you lifted all of them and slammed them into the army behind the two women.
“Nice save,” Nat said into the coms.
“They’re trying to draw out Wanda,” you informed. “If she thinks we need help, she’ll leave Vision. We can’t let that happen.”
Proxima suddenly appeared in front of you.
“You don’t know when to stop, do you?”
“I guess I’m stubborn,” you remarked before charging at her. You flung your power at her and she deflected it with her weapon. You tried again, this time, your energy snagged her leg and you yanked, pulling her down as if you had a lasso made of your energy. You pulled her close to you before letting go to blast her with your power, but she rolled at the last second. You grunted in frustration, ready for this to be over.
While you were focused on fighting her though, the others were getting attacked severely by the outriders. You wanted to leave Proxima, get away from her, get to Vision but you couldn’t. You two had to finish this now.
But you apparently had backup as Wanda came onto the battlefield and effectively knocked the excess creatures off Steve, Bruce, and Nat who were all being overcome at the moment.
In one sense you felt exhilaration, in another Vision had just been left defenseless. The momentary distraction earned you a hard punch in the face from Proxima. You went down to the ground with a groan.
Wanda proceeded to fight, until suddenly Sam said, “Guys, we got a Vision situation here.”
Steve shouted into the coms, “Somebody get to Vision.”
“I got him,” Bruce responded.
“On my way,” Wanda said just half a second later, but then you heard her grunt.
You knew it was Proxima.
You got back up and flew just above the battlefield, seeing Proxima’s form over Wanda. You darted down.
“He’ll die alone, as will you,” she vowed to Wanda.
You stuck your heel out and planted it square in her side, slamming her into the ground. You landed and your hands charged with purple electric power. “She’s not alone,” you informed.
Natasha and Okoye stepped up right next to you, flanking both sides before Proxima launched into her best battle form and jumped at Nat, spinning her spear, trying to strike her. You helped Wanda up and smiled at her. “Get to Vision,” you ordered. You then threw your energy into Proxima’s back, making her jolt forward with every hit, crying out. She turned and threw the spear at you giving Nat and Okoye a chance to pounce on her.
Proxima was skilled, if she could take on Nat and Okoye at once without faltering.
But she wouldn’t get away from you, not this time. You finally grabbed her form with your power, making her hover in the air, she fought the movement, but your energy snaked around her, keeping her still. You let out a cry as you threw her at one of the thrashers, completely ripping her apart.
“Well that was… violent,” Natsha noted with a touch of whimsy.
“That was necessary,” you breathed, trying to catch your breath.
You heard over the coms that Steve was helping Vision, they eventually killed Corvus and Wanda reached him. A few moments later, T’Challa, Okoye, and Bruce did as well. Vision cried out and said that Thanos was there, he could feel it.
You wanted to help, to go to them, but they were too far away from where you were, and you were busy helping Thor blow up ships, protect Loki, Groot, Rocket, Bucky, Rhodey, Sam, Pietro and everyone else on the field. You couldn’t go, they needed you to keep them safe.
But then you heard it -- everyone that tried to go against Thanos -- Bruce, Steve, Natasha, Groot, even Shannon -- every one of them was easily conquered. Wanda and Vision spoke for a moment and with horror in your eyes, you turned to Loki. The two of you made eye contact as you realized what was happening -- Wanda was about to kill Vision, to save the universe.
You heard her cry and you tried to ignore it, you tried so hard, but you couldn’t help the tears falling from your face. Vision and you had fought side by side, truth be told, he was a good friend of yours, not to mention saving your life in Sokovia. And now, he was dying at the hands of his true love, your friend. You wanted to be there to help her, protect her, to shield her from this pain, to make Thanos go away, but you were just too far to reach her.
Suddenly, the boom sounded out, and you knew Vision was gone, along with the mind stone. Loki glanced to you and he knew your heart was breaking. He tried to reach for you but he was slammed into by an outrider. You had to put your mourning aside for a moment to help him to his feet, and by the time you two got back to standing, you heard Thanos through Wanda’s coms.
“Today, I lost more than you can know. But now is no time to mourn. Now... is no time at all,” he said and you frowned as you continued to fight, then it dawned on you -- the time stone… Which meant…
Wanda screamed in response to whatever he was about to do.
You gasped, more tears springing to your face. He brought back Vision, only to kill him again, brutally. “Loki,” you said in a strangled sob as you turned to him. “Tony...Strange… If he has the time stone, that means--”
“We don’t know what that means,” he retorted quickly as he stood in front of you, demanding his attention.
“We know it means that we lost,” you responded ominously. “He’s got all of the stones now…”
“Y/N, I know this isn't the best time to be talking about this but…” Loki threw one of his daggers at a creature behind you “--but I’ve come to realize that over the time that we have been together that--” again he got interrupted.
“What, Loki? Can this wait? We’re a little--” a beast ran at you and you had to bend backwards so he didn’t tackle you. Once you stood up, you threw your energy at him, charging him until he exploded “--busy right now.”
“I know that, my dear, but I need you to know that there’s—” he steps to the side as a body drops to the ground. “--No one else I would rather have fighting at my side or have at my side period.” more and more they kept fighting and side stepping.
You frowned, lowering your hands for a moment to turn and face him. “What are you saying?” you asked, a little confused. You knew he loved you. What could possibly be so important to bring it up now, with Thanos just feet away about to win?
“I’ve never believed that I could ever find someone to love the way that I love you, Y/N—” vaulting into the air Loki ended up right behind you “-- you’ve made me realize that I am worthy of love and to be seen as someone more than just my father’s son.” He looked at you with pure adoration and awe over his shoulder quickly.
You wanted to respond, but you thought it was better to let him speak. He was declaring something, and you weren’t sure why.
Things were getting a little tight around you two. More creatures pushing against you, clawing at you. The two of you were almost back to back from all the beasts surrounding you. You started to get pissed now. You charged your hands and blasted them out all around you, knocking them back away from the two of you.
Just as hope was dashed from your mind at Vision’s second death, Thor suddenly launched his axe at Thanos. Thanos tried to stop it with the stones, but the axe kept going, at least from what you could see where you were standing on the field.
“I told you you’d die for that,” Thor vowed and you overheard him on the coms, then you heard Thanos cry out in pain.
For a moment, your hope was restored. Thor killed him. It was over. This could all end.
But then you heard a groan.
“You should’ve gone for the head,” Thanos said weakly and fear overtook you once more. Your head whipped towards where they’d been fighting.
“No,” you whispered as you stared at Loki. “He wo--”
Loki suddenly grabbed your arm, making you face him, fire in his eyes. “I may never get the chance to do this again. Will you marr--”
His speech was cut short. His hand fell off you first, disintegrating into the air. You tried to grab at him, anguish filling every cell of your body as you clawed at him. But everything you tried to grab was falling through your fingers, much to your torment. His face was the last thing to disappear, a look of torment on his face as he made eye contact with you one last time.
Horror enveloped you when you saw his entire figure gone. “Loki?” you whispered, somehow hoping calling his name would bring him back. You turned and saw it happening to others on the field. “No...No, no, no, no…” You instantly grew sick to your stomach before you fell to your knees. You couldn’t breathe.
Suddenly your chest was tight with pain, with fear, with an emotion you couldn’t even wrap your mind around. In a desperate attempt to not pass out or get sick, you grabbed at the grass beneath you.
A sob fell out from you, strangled, broken, how you felt inside. In a sudden burst of heartbreak, you cried out, your power flared from you like it never had before. Your hair flew up, standing straight in the air as the ground in a hundred foot radius lit up and your entire body electrified, your eyes no longer had whites or colored irises, it was all a white-purple glow.
All around you warriors, soldiers, friends, were turning to dust. In a sense, none of that mattered, because your entire world just...evaporated in front of you. And you wished you’d gone right along with him.
----------------------------------
Shannon found you minutes later. When it appeared the decimation had ceased, she set out to find you.
“Y/N?” she said as she approached. She dropped beside you and put her arms around you, knowing full well why you were a sobbing mess.
All you could do was break down in her arms. You couldn’t find Thanos. You couldn’t undo what he’d done. Your life, your everything, was gone, just like that, with a snap of his fingers.
And Loki wanted to spend his life with you. He was going to ask you to marry him -- but he was cut short. Every horrible thing that had happened to you had been Thanos’s fault.
In one fell swoop, Thanos had taken away all reason for you to live. He’d tortured you, tortured Loki, brainwashed you, turned you against people you love…
All for these fucking stones! He’d killed Vision for it, twice! He may have killed Tony and Stephen and trillions of others just to enact his God complex.
You weren’t sure which was stronger in that moment: the rage or the pain.
You were sure of one thing -- your life would never be the same.
