There's some definite comedy gold mixed up in this goofy-ass flick, and a surprising amount of gore. Benny, for such a cute lil fella, is a pretty hard-core mfer. There were a few parts where the little bastard was getting a bit on my nerves, but that didn't last. By the end I loved the little fucker lol This one definitely grew on me as it went on. Dumb but lots of fun. 7/10 Check it out on #Showtime 🔪

Demented dinner date ideas
I had a lot of fun with this one. Great (comedic) opening scene, a fistful of familiar faces, a couple of hotties in bikinis, and plenty of laughs. There was just enough gore to check that box, and I liked all the characters. I'm honestly (somewhat) surprised that it only got a 4.8 on IMDb. My guess is it's because there are a few mainstream names in it that brought in the high-maintenence crowd who were likely appalled by the budget cgi. Personally I think that where comedic creature features are concerned, the crappy(ish) cgi adds to the lulz. Also, I have a soft spot for drug-trips; seeing people act completely out of their cabesas amuses me. I had to hit this one with a 7/10 because I'll definitely rewatch this badboy sometime down the line. Now streaming on Prime Video.
A dumb-but-fun animatronic assualt on your sensibilities with Nick Cage playing some sort of quiet, urban cowboy who strolls through this small town, gets caught up in its shenanigans, then proceeds to, um, work his way through them. Cool grimy aesthetic, some solid directing, a couple of hotties, and a handful of colorful characters. Can't say I loved the score, and some of the fight scenes didn't quite hit like I wanted them to. It was either that subpar score or the sound effects or both. But overall this was a lot of fun as long as you're not expecting anything too "cultastic". (Just made that word up) I can spare a 7/10 on it for the ladies, the vibes, and the laughs. Check it out if you enjoy stupid action horror comedies. (Rented from dvd.com)
This uber low-budget comedic homage to The Evil Dead is on prime video as Creature Cabin. Honestly unwatchable to most, but if you're the type of lowbrow lunatic who ruts around in the cinematic muck for the lulz, you may find this one as amusing as I. Tons of suuuuper cheesy effects that keep up the pace. None are in any way impressive, but the concepts of them all are really cool. This tried to be funny throughout and managed to get several chuckles out of me so that bumps up the points a bit. And the main lady is on the thick side which is a pleasant change in pace; nice to see a figure that's got a little extra to give than most other ladies of horror. An Aussie flick with a tiny budget and big dreams. Imaginative and unapologetic. This one averaged a 3.4 out of 288 ratings on IMDb and easily earned a 6/10 from me. I didn't even have to think about it. Gud times. Check it out if you can in any way relate. 😎👍
Not sure I can get behind a recommendation to watch this one, but it was cool enough for me to rep the poster. Pretty funny and mostly fun; an indie rockband adventure with a comedic horror twist. Lowbrow with likeable characters and some fun blood-showering gore. Not real funny, not real gory, just enough of both to be a decent watch. Not sure I liked the ending much. For a mostly uplifting flick the end didn't really feel like it fit. 6/10 on prime video if you wanna give it a shot.
