Staring at the giraffe, the little girl failed to realize she was the giraffe. At age seven she was already broken by the cruel world. She needed to be fixed before she went of the deep end and her stuffing, her mind, left her. Juliette was an innocent at heart, but not in any other way. The world was overbearing. By fixing the giraffe, she made it hers, she made it her own. Juliette put the pieces back together. Though, she did struggle, eventually she fixed it. Even if the job was sloppy. She reinvented herself since her younger years until she ultimately evolved into what she was in the present. The young girl carefully placed everything back, trying to make it seem like she never moved or touch anything. Hearing the loud sound of the door close, her eyes widened with fear. She rushed into her bedroom and into her covers. She clutch Pato to her tiny body with an iron grip. She pulled the covers over her head and hoped to whatever deity there might be, her little craft would go unnoticed. Heavy footsteps trudged up the stairs. Boots were being dragged. The girl was shaking in fright.
Juliette's white door was kicked open. She stuck her small knuckles into her mouth and bit down. Blood oozed from the wound but she did not care. The pain she inflicted on herself was nothing compared to the pain they could inflict. They damaged her not only emotionally, but physically. "Julie baby, where's my money maker?" Her father reeked of alcohol and thick cigar smoke. She didn't move - she didn't breathe. Her father let out a feral chuckle before pulling down the covers. She recognized the face of the other man, his name was Xander. She had..met..him before. His sardonic smile made her wince. Her father pulled her up an tried to wrestle the giraffe from her grip. Holding on to it tightly, Juliette was determined to not let go. She needed Pato. He was her only friend, he was her lifeline. A sickening rrriiipppp was heard when the same leg Juliette just fixed broke again. Tears threatened to pour out of her eyes. Bringing her fist to her mouth once again, she bit her knuckle. The two men laughed, the sound sonorous and monstrous.
The tiny brunette wrung her hands and hung her head down low as she walked with Xander. Going into the guest room, her eyes wandered around. The walls were cracked, the floors dusty. It was so barren. There was nothing at all on the walls, nothing to focus on. Her tongue ran against her lower lip as she was thrown like a rag doll onto the bed. The man quickly removed his clothes, and then hers. Sighing, she shut her eyes tight, wincing knowing all to well what was going to happen next.
