Happy Thanksgiving everybun and peep. MH and PH are happy, full, and tired. Here are Starshine and Westley. The light colored Westley was adopted about 7 years ago to be husbun of Naussicaa, a black lionhead. Starshine came to BES over 9 years ago as a sweet, 6 month old baby. Starshine was adopted but then sadly returned just a few years later turned skittish and cage aggressive. The degree of fear she held was impenetrable for years. Sometime after Nausiccaa had passed on, her mom, Rebecca wanted to help BES but couldn’t afford another rabbit so we placed Starshine as a permanent foster with the incredibly loving and gentle mama hoomin of Westley. 24/7 cameras were set up to do a virtual bonding. Rebecca, a horse trainer, and BES’ Mama hoomin worked together every day all of this year and part of the last, adjusting the environment and resources. The last adjustment Rebecca suggested was the breakthrough that led to this photo *yesterday.* Starshine and Westley are now perfectly bonded. Happy Thanksgiving!
