💚- 9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?

definitely ALFTS. it’s hard planning a long fic like that!!! and feeling like i had to update every week was also really stressful so i’m just going with the flow now lol.

and other than that, I think Look Back was the hardest to write. You actually helped me with that one (again, thank you so much!). I’d never really written angst before that, so it was hard to get into it (and i then ended up writing like 5k words which is a lot for me).

18. Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines?

yeah! i’ve never used a worksheet before (although that might be fun!) but i do outlines a lot. i never outline for oneshots that i expect to be less than 1.5k, because i just write those in one sitting, but if it’s any longer than that I have a detailed outline.

I also got the idea from the ‘ten minute fic challenge’ i’m doing as a part of this sleepover, but i’ve started using a timer when I write. So like I have to sit there, and just write, for like 30 minutes or something. And I can’t touch my phone or do anything, I just have to write. It’s amazing how much I can get done! so that’s another tool i use, i guess!

5. Do you like being barefoot?

It depends; if I’m walking on carpet or I’m at the beach, I like walking barefoot because it feels easier to walk- almost like if you’re swimming it's better and easier than if you had water shoes. But if it's on marble or hardwood, I don’t like going barefoot. When I went to college, my apartment had hardwood flooring and in the winter, that was brutal. When you’re waking up at 6am and placing your warm feet onto cold, hard ground- oof! Also, I don’t like the sound (I know, it’s weird. But this is a weird ask lol!)

12. Favourite day of the week?

Ok… I think this will really make me weird: My favorite day of the week is Monday. I know a lot of people don’t like Mondays because… it’s Monday lol! But lemme explain; so I like Mondays because it's the most forgiving day of the week, excluding the weekend. Since people are coming back from the weekend, the workload is sometimes less, so as to ease one back into the work week and you get to see your work buds again. Also, this coffee place by my house gives free treats every Monday with a purchase of a drink so I always look forward to Mondays because of that lol! I might be alone on this hill, but I will die on it!

5. What race in the series would you most likely be?

Probably a dwarf or a hobbit, but more of a dwarf. With the dwarves I share many elements in common, even if unfortunately or fortunately the body is not among them! I am very greedy and I can be very possessive, plus I have constant thoughts about money and can be very rude at times. Do you see the affinities? xD

13. What would be your Middle Earth weapon of choice during battle?

I've always loved the bow, in all games and in all fantasy sagas. The bow would be ideal for me because I'm not a frontline person, rather a support person.

22. What is your favorite part about the series?

Well, in The Hobbit I like the first part until goblin town, when Dwarves and Bilbo start their quest. In Lotr, I like the Two Tower part, all of it xD

For the sleepover concepts/headcanons: you getting stung by a bee/wasp, Haz taking care of you/panicking because he doesn't know what to do? I'll let you choose how this will go 😁 (but I can imagine him freaking out at first but then caring (boy)friend Haz surfaces) - 💚

Aww yes 🥰 also I don’t know how to deal with wasp stings so I’m sorry 😂

It’s the middle of summer and it’s hot

You’re outside in a simple sundress and as soon as you hear the buzzing you freak out

You try to get away but the wasp stings you quickly and you let out a scream

So of course Haz comes rushing outside in a panic

“What’s wrong love?”

You squirm and bite your lip, showing him the sting “g-got stung”

Haz freaks out as he looks at it “oh my god! Are you okay?”

“No I’m not okay a wasp STUNG ME HAZ” you cry

“What if you’re allergic? Is your tongue swelling up?” Haz just keeps looking at it before getting his phone out and trying to read what to do

You shake your head and squirm. “Just help me please.”

“I-i got you baby.” He nods and kisses your cheek before taking you inside and reading the google page on how to deal with a wasp sting

Haz took the stinger out with some tweezers before soothing over it with some cream and making sure to hold your hand through it all

You thanked him and giggled as he covered you in kisses

The little blonde boy snuck into the room. The loud creak of the door made him wince and he prayed that his mother would not wake. His father was already up for the day, joining Uncle Thorin in council. 

The boy’s birthday was in a week and he was too excited to contain his emotions. Every night and he lay awake, imagining the gifts that his family had got him. And now, that excitement had become too much. 

Fili got up from his seat, bowing his head in respect to all the members of the council. He stifled a yawn behind his hand and knew that he would be jumping back into bed for another couple of hours. Fili’s request to move council to a later hour in the day had been ignored. Thorin always preferred to hold council at dawn. 

The boy continued to rummage through the cupboard, searching for anything that looked like it could be a gift. However, all he could find was his mother’s sewing supplies and blankets. 

“What are you doing?” a stern voice came. 

The boy felt a rod of ice shoot down his spine and he slowly turned, closing his eyes. Then he looked up at his father, who had his hands on his hips for emphasis. 

“I’ve told you, Vili, you won’t find your gifts. And at this rate, I’m considering not giving you anything,” Fili said. But as his focus remained on the boy, he couldn’t help but smile, being reminded so much of his younger brother, Kili.
