This save is still very much a work in progress. While most things appear to be complete (such as builds), there's still a lot to be done. So, keep that in mind. Also, I tried my best to playtest everything, but this is a HUGE save. So, it's possible I missed things. If I did, feel free to let me know!
TOU:
Please don't claim as your own. Don't reupload my builds as your own. Basically, don't be weird. Just give credit please as this took centuries to do lol.
Special Thanks!
EDIT: Ahhh! Big thank you to @lasabarcassims for helping me set up SimFileShare! Please check out their save as well. It’s amaaaazing.
Shout out to @aaliyahnavI @doit4thesims @forever-lbsims @senselesssims for playtesting this monstrosity. I greatly appreciate you all!
Thanks to @simmerapple (gallery: ImpossibleBelle) and @simkuza (Gallery: Mimilagu) for checking out the save and sending some of their amazing sims to use!
Lastly, I want to thank everyone for their continued support and encouragement! When I started this thing, I was just bored and looking for a way to improve my game. I honestly did not expect to finish it, nor did I expect so many of you to care lol. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's still very rough around the edges, but I hope it brings you some enjoyment!
Also, don't hesitate to tag me in any posts! I want to see my precious Doo Doo brought to life!
16 worlds redone (Mt. Komorebi, Sulani, Selvadorada, and Tomarang still need some TLC)
Some updated townies with lore, relationships, jobs, etc. etc.
New townies!
New clubs and holidays
LOTS of packs used, so not BG friendly
For Version 2, I hope to finish this save completely. When will that be? That's a good question lol
What's not included:
All the packs - I don't own (and probably never will lol) HSY, Werewolves, Lovestruck, and MWS. Also missing most of the kits.
Specialty lots (i.e. police station, magic realm) won't be touched until Ver. 2
CC, Mods, and Tips
If you want the townies’ relationships to stay intact, I HIGHLY recommend downloading MCCC. If not, you shouldn’t have any issues playing the save, but some relationships will eventually be deleted due to the culling system. Instructions here!
I did use one piece of CC, but it is absolutely not required in order to download this save. It's the Modern Family Portrait by RAVASHEEN! Download only if you want some cute portraits of the families.
For this save, I grouped some of the worlds together. You don't have to play this way, it's just a note to consider:
Oasis Springs, Del Sol Valley, and StrangerVille
Newcrest, Willow Creek, and Magnolia Promenade
Windenburg, Forgotten Hallow, Glimmerbrook, and Henford
San Myshuno, Brindleton Bay
San Sequoia and Evergreen Harbor
The other worlds? They're just on their own for now.
Looking for people interested in recreating worlds from across the Sims series in The Sims 2!
So I've been planning a save file of my own where I create my own version of the Sims canon - that's why I began working into making my Willow Creek recreation but I realized this tiny project was a bit TOO ambitious considering there aren't many of those available, and life has been a bitch lately (I'm still grieving my partner's death and also starting a new semester tomorrow but I'm using the little energy I have to make this post) so I would definitely need a whole team to accomplish my plan. dystopianam has a great list here and here but there are still plenty of Sims worlds missing.
I was talking about this plan with someone @ OpenSO and they ended up being the little push I needed for this idea to come to light hahah
We could make a Discord server or something to plan everything: SC4 maps, builds, Sims, stats, etcetera. Something like the Hood Building Group when they made the Stories neighborhoods recreations, but with the rest of the franchise.
If you're interested, send me an ask, ping me in a Sims server, or DM me on Discord!
I know it says "all Sims games" but I think Sims 1 for PC has been completely covered lol. So it'd be mainly Sims 3 and 4 recreations then some, as far as I know we don't have publicly available*:
THE SIMS (CONSOLES)
SimValley/Willville (this one got so many variations I'm not sure whether it should all be merged with Miniopolis and Old Town. Bustin' Out is kinda all over the place when it comes to neighborhoods... 😵💫)

THE SIMS SOCIAL
Littlehaven (I know this isn't from the canon timeline but I really like the characters' designs there, somewhat like MySims but there's a neighborhood for it already which is why I didn't count it)
*I think there may be other recreations done but I haven't found any available outside dystopianam's posts.
That's quite a lot, yes. If you're looking for somewhere to start, I'd rather prioritize the mainline games first before tackling the console ports and spin-offs.
My idea is to make the resources needed to create one biiig save containing recreations of every neighborhood in the franchise and also give players the ability to mix-n-match whatever neighborhoods they want.
So yeah, thank you for your time reading this post lol, I know it's a lot of info to digest and it'll probably take a while for someone to actually be interested in my project, but better now than never.
Simnation Map Guide: Geography, Climate & Player-Created World Maps
SimNation is the imaginary country where the action of every main game in The Sims franchise unfolds. Sometimes referred to as Simerica, Simlandonia, or Simsonia, SimNation serves as the central setting for The Sims universe.
The exact population size of SimNation remains unknown, contributing to its ongoing mystery and appeal in The Sims lore. Some references in core games suggest an estimated population of about 20,000 residents.
The precise real-world equivalent or location of SimNation is one of the enduring mysteries in The Sims community. Popular fan theories suggest that it may represent an alternative version of North America, possibly inspired by regions like Nevada or California, due to similar landscapes and cultural vibes. Another theory, fueled by The Sims 4 trailer, is that SimNation exists on a parallel Earth, with sims depicted as arriving from outer space.
SimNation's geography encompasses an astonishing variety of climate zones – one of the most unique aspects of The Sims’ worldbuilding. The most frequently portrayed environments are temperate grassy plains and rolling coastal hills, featured prominently in areas like Willow Creek or Brindleton Bay. Other biomes include scorching deserts (Oasis Springs, Del Sol Valley, StrangerVille), forested mountain regions, and even lush oceanic rainforests.
A trademark feature of SimNation's climate is its unpredictability. Even tropical islands can experience cold snaps, sometimes plunging to temperatures as low as -17°C, bringing unexpected snowstorms. This presents a challenge for players looking to draw consistent or realistic maps, forcing them to either rationalize these weather anomalies or simply embrace the fantasy.
Mapping SimNation also proves difficult due to conflicting in-game representations. Various globes and maps appear throughout The Sims series, with some resembling our Earth’s familiar continents and others displaying drastically different landmasses.
Community Theories
Players in The Sims community are dedicated to piecing together the geography of SimNation and custom worlds. Most mapping attempts use climate as a guide: for example, Mt. Komorebi’s snowy terrain is generally placed in the far north; deserts occupy the central or southern regions; while tropical islands like Sulani are located near the equator. Windenburg, described as distinctly European, is often considered a separate continent or country entirely.
On fan forums, simmers passionately debate how to organize their custom worlds and what to name their personal versions of SimNation. A few popular approaches include:
— Grouping locations by climate: deserts (Del Sol Valley, Oasis Springs, StrangerVille), cold north (Mt. Komorebi), tropical islands (Sulani, Tomarang).
— Creating custom political systems, such as kingdoms and empires, adding further depth to their SimNation lore.
— Dividing worlds into "human" regions and "magical" territories to reflect gameplay mechanics and supernatural sims.
— Naming and grouping by proximity, e.g. Central City (San Myshuno + Willow Creek), Western Desert (Del Sol Valley + Oasis Springs), and Eastern Countryside (Windenburg + Brindleton Bay).
Player-Made Maps of SimNation
If you want to see these maps in high resolution or visit the original posts, simply click on the author’s name.
keirosims (@keirosims)
Keirosims created a map inspired by the “The World Is Your Oyster” artwork from The Sims 4: Discover University, grouping the various sims worlds by their connections to real countries or regions of the world. For locations from older games that lack a strong theme, placements are determined by their overall atmosphere and narrative role. Keirosims also made sure to include as many classic sims locations as possible, incorporating worlds with a visible in-game presence or with a substantial mention in The Sims lore.
lizasim (@lizasim)
Lizasim’s map began as a compilation of other people’s work but evolved gradually into an original design. The new version is more convenient for navigating SimNation in gameplay. All cities and towns are divided into zones: Sylvitea (“Green Zone”) is a vast, forested region representing recreational areas where both ordinary sims and occult sims live side by side; Metropagonia unites urban locations, with San Myshuno as the central metropolis; Sunscape (called “Sandy Steppes”) groups resorts, ranches, and studios in a single sun-drenched part of SimNation; while Veilora highlights the magical and supernatural side of The Sims 4, accessible only through special entry points. Distant or culturally rich areas like Sulani and Selvadorada are shown as remote regions with their own languages and unique identities.
Ephiemera
Ephiemera’s map was created to realistically connect all Sims 4 locations, paying close attention to geography and landscape – rivers, mountains, and lakes are used to create natural borders and routes. This method makes every world feel like part of a logical, continuous environment within SimNation.
usonofallama (@usonofallama)
Usonofallama focused on cultural and geographic analogies, dividing the SimNation universe into large regions and defining local languages, laws, and migration routes using mods like “Language Barriers” and “Home Regions”. In this vision, SimNation is divided into distinct subregions nuanced by lifestyle and culture: the technological West Coast, the academic Northeast, the traditional Deep South, and special Indigenous Lands. Other continents or realms, like the Old World or Oceanic Lands, are each given their own flavor, culture, and migration flows – mimicking more realistic or complex worldbuilding.
Nocturne
Nocturne produced several versions of their SimNation map, prompted by ongoing debates about where to place certain locations like Gibby Point or Britechester. Some versions keep cities as separate islands, others move them closer together, offering multiple choices for simmers.
simsyren (@simsyren)
Simsyren visualizes each world in The Sims 4 as a city within one state and divides the custom map into three areas: a jungle region (Sulani, Selvadorada, Tomarang), a main territory split between desert and forest biomes (places like Oasis Springs, San Sequoia, Willow Creek, and Newcrest), and a mystical area shrouded in fog (Glimmerbrook, Forgotten Hollow, and Moonwood Mill). This approach helps explain travel distances and adds to the immersion of the Sims universe.
MissLollypop (@misslollypopsims)
All worlds in The Sims 4 are tied to real places on the planet. This is needed to understand whether a Sim can just visit a neighboring city or will need a long flight – the Home Regions mod takes this into account.
I saw the original Barbie Legacy Challenge and after doing it myself, I realized I was pretty sad it was over, and wished there were more generations. Yes, they did add the optional ones, but still.
SO! I did the reasonable thing and I added more! The first 10 are obviously the original, but I've added 20 more generations.
This is mainly for the people who enjoy these challenges and want long ones, like me. I will only take credit for the generations I added, but every generation before those are all @sims-himbo work. Inspired by this post, I attempted to weave together the TS4 Political, Law, Royalty, and Military careers and transform them into functional in-game royal titles.
EDIT: So I thought tying the retitled royalty roles to other careers in the game was such a good idea until I realized that the royalty titles are a CAREER. I feel so dumb. I wanted to think of it as the top of different work tracks and have them woven together and that’s not really how it works in the game. They can’t be assigned the top of the political career and a title from the royalty career at the same time.
Use these as a base, completely disregard them, whatever. It's up to you. If you come up with your own, or make edits of these, whatever it is, feel free to tag me to take a look.
Notes: This is US centric. I have disregarded Forgotten Hollow, Glimmerbrook, Moonwoodmill, Ravenwood, and Innisgreen for now. Someone more creative than me is going to come up with great ideas for those worlds.
These lists are shaped by the way I play, the in-game careers, and the International Relations Career mod by adeepindigo. I don't really have an in-game alternative to offer in it's place. Maybe other folks might?
WIP - Anyone have ideas / suggestions for Britechester. I consider the college of Britechester to be located in Henford-on-Bagley, however for me Foxbury is located in SimNation. Not sure how to do the titles for this world because of this.
Also, @procrasimnation made an option for UK based worlds here.
Please note they ranks are numbered backwards. For example, the National Leader would actually be rank 10 in the game, not 1, like it is listed below.
I hope you have fun with these!

(sound of someone clearing their throat, followed by what's obviously a kid trying to speak in an exaggerated deep voice)
Tomiko: "Tomiko is a girl who didn't need a home with walls or windows - the roof to her 'home' has always been the sky above." (pauses, mutters to themselves) Ooh that's a good one! Wait, people will think i live in the woods, no? Wouldn't that be the dream…
(moment of silence as Tomiko daydreams, then remembers she just started recording)
"Tomiko doesn't have many friends, because she was destined to be a free-spirited loner. With the exception of Clarisse, a girl who dreams ofbecoming a marine biologist. Clarisse was made fun of by strangers on a dumb internet show she went to one day, all because she wanted to win the money and go on a trip to Sulani. Now everyone calls her the 'Dolphin Girl'. After Tomiko decided to console her at lunch in school, both of them ended up bonding over their crazy obssession with nature. They've been inseparable friends ever since."
(another pause, followed by an audible sigh)
"Well, they were inseparable, until Tomiko moved away. Now Clarisse is being weird for no reason... anyways, where was i?
(forgets why they went on a Clarisse tangent and starts to fumble with their unorganized notes)
"Oh yes, destined to be a free-spirited loner, ya-da ya-da. Unfortunately, Tomiko was forced to live in a boring house made of bricks, with white furniture, and a mom who was always mad about her muddy boots on the carpet."
(voice shifts to mimic the mom's screech)
- I'm not gonna raise a savage wild child! Since you love dirt so much, go live with your bum of a father in that Strangerplace world, or whatever it's called.
"Best thing to ever happen to me!" (voice switches to normal accidentally, then goes back to the fake deep one) - I mean - best thing to ever happen to Tomiko! Even though her dad looks kinda weird lately, walking around aimlessly at night in search of his mother. Classic dad, being a weirdo. No idea how this man got married..."
- Dad, I told you grandma still lives in Willow Creek. Why do you think she's in the middle of the desert? Also, she wouldn't be caught dead wasting away her fabulous heels in this god-forsaken place.
"Tomiko pretends she doesn't see it, because now she can do whatever she wants, why complicate things? The only problem is, there isn't much to do in Strangerville with the infection rumors going on, and all the damn sus soldiers. Also, the taste of travelling for the first time has left her wanting to see more. Imagine all the bugs she could find?! But you need money for that, sooo… what to do, what to do…"
(voice returns to normal, a bit defensive)
"Okay, fine, I'm the one recording this… (sighs) I know what you're thinking - "just steal from your dad!". Seriously, who do you think I am? Anyways, I did something else instead. I heard there's this competition with other teens where you get to travel the world, and guess what? I signed up for it! Without my parents knowing, of course, but that is irrelevant. They won't even notice I'm gone, I fear. I just hope the organizers don't ask for their permission, because Clarisse was the one who knew how to fake signatures, but now she's hanging out with other kids at school, and thinks she's better than me."
(inhales, then proceeds to speak loudly at a wall, probably)
"Like... Nina? The enemy? Be so for real right now Clarisse! My life is just grand without you! I'll get to travel the world and educate people on how bugs are friends, and definitely NOT disgusting or too dangerous! Well, most times. I'll also prove that even if you're a weird bug loving kid like me, you can still have a chance at a game that requires you to make friends. It'll be eaaasy! In a few weeks I'll be like, Clarisse who? Hahah!"
(brief pause on their flex-rant, which is totally NOT a defense mechanism because she's hurt by them growing apart. They return, slightly worried)
"Do you think I can die in there? Cause gosh, let's hope not! Imagine going on an adventure of a lifetime and not being able to tell people about your heroic deeds... that'd be so lame! Anyways, I'll see you when I see you, whoever is listening to this… Tomi out!"

[RECORD ENDS]
wow if you're still here, thanks for reading, you wonderful bean! here, have a cute snail
I've been looking into the concept of a 'Forever World' in The Sims 4, and before committing (well, experimenting!) I wanted to take a look at some of the issues that really affect me playing the game.
One of which is the fact that Sims from any world will show up all over the place, which really breaks the immersion for me. Seeing a Sulani Sim rock up in Chestnut Ridge without good reason just feels so strange to me. Somehow I'd never heard of Kuttoe's Home Region mod, but I've been testing it out and so far I love it.
It keeps Sims within their own worlds, spawning them first when you load community lots.* You can link up any worlds you feel are connected (e.g. Willow Creek and Magnolia Promenade) so Sims can travel freely between them, creating a bit more variety and depth.
*It does more than this, so I highly recommend you read about it yourself!
I broke the existing worlds up into fairly arbitrary little groups, which I felt would be near each other in the Sims world:
🏡 Willow Creek, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade ('default' towns)
🌵 Oasis Springs, Strangerville, Chestnut Ridge (desert towns)
🌆 San Myshuno, Del Sol Valley, San Sequoia (West-coast)
🌄 Evergreen Harbour, Copperdale, Brindleton Bay (East-coast)
Sulani, Tomarang, Mt. Komorebi and Nordhaven are all separate, with their real-world inspirations being more unique. Henford-on-Bagley is currently not linked either, but I'll link it to Innisgreen when Enchanted by Nature is released.
If you've not heard of this mod, I highly recommend it.
Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 237 (Meet the Beakers)
Reopening the investigation into the old puppy mill where Gord was born left Conrad chasing multiple dead ends. But as he'd tried to understand a little about genetic science, he'd stumbled on a university paper co-authored by Loki Beaker and Circe Salamis, who spoke at length about the science of genetically modified dogs and applying similar functions to human genetic engineering.
A few calls to their old university gave Conrad the address for the dissolved lab where they completed their final-year work placement. It matched the address for the puppy mill, so Conrad made a house call to the renowned geneticists in San Myshuno.
When he arrived, he was instantly swarmed by their two young children. Both redheads like their mother, with teal blue eyes like their father, they looked up at Conrad excitedly.
"Are you really a cop?" The boy cocked his head sideways
"Really," Conrad confirmed. "Colonel Conrad Gordon with Brindleton Bay PD."
"Wow! Can I tell you a secret?" Playing along, Conrad leaned in close. "I want to be a cop when I grow up, but my dad says I'm too smart. But I want to solve crimes and be a detective in a trenchcoat like the movies!"
"I've never worn a trenchcoat. Sounds more like a private investigator."
"Well...could I wear a trenchcoat?"
"You probably could, as long as people could still see your badge."
His sister made a face at his side. "He's not gonna be a cop. He's too afraid of the dark."
"I am not."
"You are too. Are our parents in trouble or something, Colonel?"
"They're not in trouble. I just want to talk to them."
"Have you ever been to Sulani?"
"A couple times, yeah."
"Our Aunt Erin just moved to Sulani to be a nurse, and then she eloped with a lady who says she's not a mermaid, but I think she looks like one. Her name's Leila."
Small world, Conrad thought. "I think I might know her. Leila Illes?"
"Yeah! Are you a detective-magician?"
"Atom! Ceres! Let the nice detective sit down," urged their mother. "Apologize for bickering with each other and head upstairs to finish your math problems; let your mother and father have a chat."
"Yes, mother."
Conrad wasn't sure if he heard it right, but there was something almost robotic in their response. Maybe he was distracted by what the Beakers did for a living. "Cute kids," he said. "How old are they?"
"They're five and a half, but they're already doing work at a fifth grade level," boasted their father, Loki.
"I know what you mean. My stepson's a genius, taking advanced classes at his high school and always working hard on math problems I'll never understand."
"That's a high school in...Brindleton Bay?"
The snobby Beakers tried to hide their giggles. Brindleton Bay was backwoods to plenty of city people, but the Beakers weren't born and raised in San Myshuno.
"So how did a kid from Aurora Skies and a ballet dancing science major from Strangerville come to build the best genetics research lab in Simlandia?"
"Are you writing our autobiography, Colonel?"
"Maybe not if you tell me anything interesting."
"We met in college," said Loki. "We both came to San Myshuno for university and we met in second year biology class."
"We were a great team from the start."
"You authored a few papers together, and I found them really interesting. Comparing the science of genetically modifying dogs to genetically modifying humans."
Loki Beaker shook his head in frustration. "Not the science, the steps. They were methodology papers, Colonel. Are you sure you followed them very well?"
Conrad laughed. "I'm not as smart as my stepson, but these days he's more into neuropsych for a project he's working on. I wanted to talk to the two of you as experts in genetic research. My sisters-in-law are expecting a baby carrying both of their genetics thanks to the work you do at your lab."
"What we work on is very confidential. Anything we're allowed to talk about is easy to read about in the news."
"That's true, but I'm a little more interested in the the work you used to do than the work you're doing now."
"We started Beaker Labs right after university."
"With a lot of money, and neither of grew up particularly wealthy. Circe got a dance scholarship but transferred to bioscience in year two, and you hadn't even worked to save for a few years. Your co-authored thesis was written around the same time me and my old partner busted a puppy mill in the Spice District."
The scientists shifted uncomfortably on the sofa.
"Your internship with with Real Labs was located at the same place where we busted this puppy mill, but when my partner and I toured the scene, we didn't find any lab equipment."
"Maybe the puppy mill went in right after we left," suggested Circe. But Conrad wasn't buying it.
"I don't think two young lab interns were ringleaders in any kind of operation for luxury clients looking for designer dogs. I might even buy that you didn't know the dogs were being sold, but when Real Labs was dissolved, their paperwork disappeared, too."
"What a shame," Ceres mused.
"You talk like you're guilty, Mrs. Beaker. Like you knew exactly what was going on, and might even know whether they're still operating somewhere else."
"Are designer dogs really a crime?"
"It's unethical, and black market pet sales without proper registration is illegal."
The Beakers shared a knowing look, as if they shared a brainwave. "We haven't had anything to do with anyone at Real Labs since they disbanded. When the scientists knew the cops were closing in on the puppy mill, they packed up everything and forged the last half of our internship scores so we'd stay quiet," explained Loki. "And they paid us."
"So they funded your lab. And they've never come back looking for a favour for any of that?"
"Most of the scientists we worked with were older, and the rest completely disappeared. We don't know a thing about their work anymore. We were just kids trying to graduate, and we thought if the lab was working with the university, it was fine."
"The lab told the university they were doing genetic research with dogs to prolong their lifespans."
Circe nodded. "They just left out the rest."
"And you truly have no idea whether the organization is still operating?"
They shrugged. "We told you, we don't even know who was running the lab. We were like rats, accepting orders from unnamed bosses. Our tasks were always sent to us by computer."
Conrad frowned. The Beakers weren't revealing much, whether or not they knew more - and he thought they probably did. But San Myshuno detectives had searched their lab and found nothing to link them to any ongoing black market puppy sales.
"It's getting close to dinner and we've got to feed the children," Loki said, as Conrad caught Circe sneering. "Is there anything else we can do for you, Colonel Gordon?"
"Yeah, I just have one more question. Sorta personal, but our family dog, Gord...he's a Bernese and he came from the mill and he's about sixteen right now. You did the work; how long do you think he's got left?"
Circe smiled pridefully at this confirmation their scientific research had worked, despite the ethics. "The thing is, Colonel, we really couldn't say. Once they left the lab, the mill took control and we didn't know anything about where the dogs were going. I don't think any of the dogs we modified have died of natural causes since the lab closed, but we haven't exactly tracked them in the last sixteen years."
"Researching human genetics is much more rewarding," Loki sniffed, as Circe dismissed the notion they were still involved.
Conrad nodded. He didn't trust them, but he wasn't convinced of their motive.
"I know your work at Beaker Labs is too important to let an underground crime network selling genetically-enhanced dogs hamper your reputation, but I'm not convinced you have no idea where I could find them. I'll leave my information, and if something triggers some memories that might lead me in the right direction, you can reach out to me anytime."
"Colonel Gordon, we really don't know a thing," Circe insisted, as Ceres raced downstairs to announce she'd finished her math problems before Atom.
With that, Conrad left the city for the long drive back to Brindleton Bay. He'd miss dinner with his own family and had no new leads to show for it, but now the Beakers knew he was looking. ->

WCIF The Beakers: Loki, Circe, Atom and Ceres are from the Sims 4 Gallery Maxis Official account. They were posted when Strangerville was released, with a different version of Nyon Specter who I deleted, because there's only one Nyon in my save! I changed up their lore a little because I don't like it (I don't care if it was the same in Sims 3). This is not the political economy in which I want to be writing or reading about blonde-haired blue-eyed possible clones. So Atom and Ceres have their father's eye colour and mother's hair colour and that's their Sims In Bloom lore.
Loki's sister, Erin Beaker (aka Singles from Sims lore) is a Gallery creation by MotherRosebud. Fun fact, but when I sent Nicola and Arista to Ciudad Enamorada, if they didn't vibe I had backups. But they did vibe, so instead of introducing them to Leila Illes (Sulani townie who's been divorced from Oliana Ngata for a while now) and Erin, I introduced Leila to Erin and speed-ran their courtship and elopement in two in-game hours. May this be a much more compatible relationship for Leila than her marriage to Oliana turned out to be!
