April Topbox review

I recently stopped my Luxebox subscription and switched to Topbox.  If you want to see some of my reviews of the Luxebox's that I received in the past, keep scrolling down for more reviews of the products and the company.  

So in the month of april I received my second Topbox. As a general comment, I do like it a lot more than my Luxebox's so far!

Here it is:

Principessa Beauty- Notte Breeze Dry shampoo

I was SO happy to get this product! I remember I was telling my friends how I wanted to try out some dry shampoo but decided to resort to some baby powder first.  This works so much better. Recently though, my scalp has been pretty dry, so I've stopped using it for a while, but it still works for creating some more volume at times.

Bella Pella- Tropical flowers body lotion

Not much to say about this product. It's just a typical hand lotion.  Nothing amazing about it, the smell is not out of the ordinary.  Kind of reminds me of the lotion that my mom used to use when she did nails for people.  

Misa- Nail licquer in Should I?

I think that name is perfect for my occasion. I just recently landed a new job and I'm always thinking to myself..."Should I have nail polish on?"  This is the perfect nude colour! I put this on and then some gold sparkles on the tips.  It's perfect!

Benefit- the POREfessional

Again, I LOVE this product. I have been eyeing this product every time I enter into a Sephora and have been meaning to try it.  I use it as a primer and it creates a perfect canvas for my make up to slide on.  It is quite expensive at $34, but if it was a little cheaper I would definitely consider buying it. 

Andddd That's it for this month's Topbox.  I really liked the products I got other than the hand cream, and have been using it a lot this month.  

I definitely recommend trying out Topbox if you're on the verge of switching or joining one of these subscription based beauty sample companies.  There was a 3 month waiting list though when I subscribed, so be aware of that.

♥ Loose Button Luxe Box ~ March 2012 ♥

Firstly, I have to say that when I initially opened the box, I was quite dissapointed in the number of products. In the past boxes there were at least 5 products, so I guess I was just a little let down.

I have pre-picked my special product for March, and I chose the single Cargo eyeshadow. I was pretty excited to receive it. But when I did get it, I was REALLY dissapointed, infact, I was am still angry. I can't open the lid for the life of me!!! It just won't come off! I've tried many ways, and I was scared that it would scrape my fingers and that they would bleed. So I just gave up. There's not even a name of the color of the shadow, so I have no idea what it looks like. BIG dissapointment.

As for the other products, I haven't tried any of them. But for the J.R. Watkins hand and body lotions, I took a sniff of it and knew that it wasn't for me. The lavender scent is too strong for me, and my skin would probably react to it.

February Luxebox review!

Hola! It's finally time for the review of the products that I used in the February Luxebox! 

Calvin Klein- Shock For Her

Full Size: 50 ml ($45) 100 ml ($65)

I like this scent.  It's nothing special though. I have to be very honest though, for perfumes, unless they have a very original smell it is all about the packaging and brand for me.  Probably because my nose is not very sensitive and I can't smell very precisely. Nevertheless, good size sample.  All perfume samples in a luxebox should always be this size. 

Dermalogica- Microfoliant

Full size- 75 g ($72)

This face wash was so interesting the first time I used it.  IT'S POWDER! You basically pour some of the powder onto your wet hand and it becomes pasty. Interesting. I love my current biore facewash though, so I'm not really into finding a new one.

Redkin- Color extend shampoo and conditioner

I'm not a fan. They gave me three of these and I used it a few times now and I'm not liking it. Funny thing is I got a slightly different looking one but same brand from Topbox today and I really like that one.  

Benefit- Sunbeam

I was quite excited to receive this one although it's such a SMALLL sample.  Unfortunately, I don't see much different when I wear it. Maybe I'm not putting enough on my cheek or something, but it seems to just kinda fade away really quickly.  Maybe it'll show it better during the summer when it's really sunny out.

My overall rating of this luxebox is 6/10.  I'm not completely happy with these products.  I wish I received more make-up products from them.  I'm on the verge of canceling my subscription with them and keeping my topbox.
