i know i like JUST posted a WIP of this pic of loraclespeaks‘s Sumaka a couple of days ago but I am so excited about how it’s turning out aaaaa

Early, rough WIP of a somewhat-overdue commission for loraclespeaks (whose patience I have been v appreciative of) of Sumaka. Last night I wasn’t sure how much I liked how it was turning out but I still have a long way to go and I think I like it a lot better looking at it again today.

[eyes] (for Joey)

Joey’s eyes are super rich, super dark brown like chocolate syrup. She’s got hooded eyes, and unless she has her eyes closed somewhat you can’t really see her eyelids. Her eyes aren’t very big, either; they don’t open wide and round (unless I’m drawing her cartoony but that’s another story). She’s lucky enough so far to not have much in the way of bags under her eyes or fine lines or wrinkles, but when she’s super tired you can kinda almost see some lines under her eyes, and this is a new development of the past couple of years that she tries hard to ignore (she always told herself the signs of aging weren’t going to bother her, but it would appear she picked up at least a little of Max’s vanity.)

She doesn’t have much in the way of eyelashes, either. They’re short and sparse, but she can paint on a mean cateye the rare times she wears makeup, and that makes up for any lashes she may or may not have. The eyebrows are a whole other story, they’re a force of nature and it would nearly be disrespectful to try to pluck them. She figures they should be wild and free and sexy… just like she is.

okay does this mean I am not the only one that put on Britney Spears during Sindragosa just so that the stress and shrieking was replaced by delightful bubble gum pop
