Aight I feel like Colin’s interruption of Penelope and Lord Debling’s dance is not getting proper recognition for EXACTLY how unhinged it was.

Like, yes him walking late into a ball just to walk straight up to them on the dance floor, angling his body slightly between, without even greeting a single person is completely unhinged behavior, but y’all are forgetting that Portia was also telling anyone who would listen that Lord Debling was proposing that night at the ball, so literally that man publicly interrupted an expected proposal everyone was waiting for and when called on it just went, “yeah, as I should” lmao

Most unhinged behavior possible, I ADORE it 🥰🥰

I genuinely appreciate the character development given to Cressida this season, and I’m glad that her and Eloise have a genuine connection. And I find it so funny that her last ditch attempt to sabotage Pen and Debling is to tell him, “Yeah, her and Colin Bridgerton? That guy who just told you to get lost? They’ve known each other all their lives. They’re always like that.”

Like, I don’t know if I want her to be sighing in relief that it worked or absolutely gagged when Polin turns up engaged in part 2.

My favorite part about the Debling plot was Penelope and Cressida doing the most over there top cat-fighting in order to win him over, not because they genuinely liked the guy, but because they wanted to escape their families and also lowkey just hate each other.

You may not have been the one for Penelope, but you were brave enough to stand up and say “that Bridgerton fellow seems mad hot for you, you should look into that”.

I actually think Cressida and Debling would be a good match. Neither of them are all that bothered about love. Debling basically wants an estate runner and maybe a child, and Cressida wants freedom from her parents and a comfortable life. They're kind of perfect, actually.
