fuse is very atypical for an elemental lord, which is fitting, considering he’s the ~chaos lord~ and all.

most elemental lords keep to themselves, interacting with each other every now and then. though they might not be real ‘gods,’ they’re certainly not human anymore, and as such they distance themselves a lot from humanity, both literally and like, mentally/emotionally. the interactions ELs have with humanity are very indirect. 

ELs basically never talk to people face to face; sometimes they pick people out to gift with some power and act as their aides, but that doesn’t happen very frequently. these aides typically stay by the EL’s side for a long time and are often their only companion. it’s rare for an EL to have more than one aide.

people don’t believe fuse is like, an actual EL. sure, he’s powerful, but ELs are generally considered folklore. the people who do believe in ELs typically Literally Worship Them, which fuse isn’t comfortable with, so fuse doesn’t introduce himself as chaos lord or anything. people call him the title as a sort of insult tbh.

dragon’s the only other EL who plays A Role in lox. he acts as a sort of mentor for fuse and they probably have philosophical discussions late at night about whether fuse is doing the right thing by like... making friends, and such. dragon understands where fuse is coming from with the helping people thing, but he doesn’t like that fuse has collected a group of friends who live with him on the citadel. he thinks fuse is just setting himself up for failure.

to fuse, dragon seems fairly callous at times. other than fuse, the One Personal Connection dragon has is his aide, doceo (the adventurer who freed fuse from possession, with dragon’s help). dragon cares about both of their wellbeings, but like... basically no one else’s (that he’ll admit to). he figures humans are inconsequential, even the large amount of people that fuse helps out in some way or another. 

dragon occasionally brings doceo along with him when he visits fuse. fuse can complain to them abt dragon’s behavior, so they get along well.
