The Kingdom Below is—as its name suggests—an underground kingdom founded by a runaway tribe from a branch of the Eagle Clan: the Owls.
Marko Jomei (Mystic’s grandfather) suffered of a DNA mutation at the time of birth due to an experimental situation the royal family was subjected to. This was done to heighten and strengthen power and abilities of the weakest branch from the Eagle Clan. This condition was named “The Ruby Eye” in reference to the effect said artificially created magic had on the body of the borer: the right eye would turn red. This allowed the Jomei lineage to acquire abilities that leveled those of the First Blood, yet noticeably weaker. It’s easy to mistake the two, aura-wise. (For which Mystic is easily passable as a full-blooded First Blood.) Marko now deceased, the family lineage continues on with Mystic being the youngest generation.
The entrance into said kingdom is at the trunk of a certain tree in the middle of the many forests of the Demon Realm. Even if one were to find it, no one but those from a lineage from the Owl Tribe can open the doorway. Though certain members from the Eagle Clan with high enough power or influence may be capable of forcing it open.
Buildings are stacked up on top of each other and everything is connected via canals or bridges due to the lack of space underground. Every corner and street is lightened by fire or lanterns created by the villagers with the energy of magic granted by the royal family.
Despite the gloominess of the houses’ and establishments’ outer design, the inside of the homes could be described as cozy and decorated to that family’s/individual’s liking. Be it a new home or a place held together by a legacy.
The Jomei’s castle—otherwise known as “The Nest”—is the largest and most grandiose place of the entire kingdom; with grand but empty party halls, hallways covered in exquisite carvings from previous generations of servants, as well as beautiful dinning and throne rooms.
And we can’t forget Mystic’s sanctuary: the library. Covered from edge to edge with centuries worth of writing from both Human and Demon Realm creators, this part of the castle expands into a maze that any book-lover would enjoy being trapped in. There is a certain area in which a skylight illuminates the surroundings with a glass that simulates a twenty-four-hour day cycle (such as the one in the Human Realm.) Just imagine tiny Mystic laying on a piles of books looking up at the artificial sky, hoping to one day see the real deal with his own eyes.

“Kingdom Come” Setting Moodboard: Genesai, the Eastern Imperium
Origin of honor. Land of endless fields. Source of civilians and savages. Seated in the shadow of the Exalt.
“The world knows Genesai for two things: the savagery of the Uprooted and the honor of the Rooted. I’ll let you in on a little secret. Those facts? All false. Course, no one will call them on their falsities on account of their Exile! A terror of a queen, that one - quick to condemnation, but never to mercy.”

“Kingdom Come” Location Moodboard: Al-Hasan, the Western Wasteland
Penitentiary of slaves. Birthplace of revolution. Seat of the mortal yet almighty. Throne of the king-crowned-god.
“Wandering out into Al-Hasan, eh? Heh. You must have a death wish, lad. Nothing out there awaiting you but a set of chains and a number to rename you. The Al-Hassians lost their minds, see? All because of their Sultana’s passing. A shame, truth be told. That Hala seemed a reasonable sort. But her brother, that Simdan? There’s a thirst in his eyes, hungry for a throne higher than any mortal has the right to claim as their own. I would fear him, if I weren’t so terrified of his daughter instead. All Sindios could sing her name and she’d demand all the angels worship her, too.”
