In somewhat related news...

I'm also planning something mythological.

Translation? Your Local Lorekeeper discovered the game Hades and wants to do a little rewrite of the Zagreus Myth because they fucks with Greek Mythology indubitably.

I was also not expecting to be as into it as I was. The art in this game is so, so pretty. Like WHY IS EVERYONE SO HOT?

Like. Look at this man. Look at him.

Zagreus? Fucking -chef's kiss-

Megaera? Hell yes. ÒwÓ'

Most of the Gods?? ... I'm just saying, if Artemis needs someone in her hunting party or Dionysus has an invite for a feast out there, I wouldn't object.

The levels and voice-acting are also phenomenal. Especially the likes of Asphodel and Elysium.

It pleases me greatly.

(Also, the art is most DEFINITELY not mine. Can't remember where I found it, but if someone does, let me know!)

A reminder here as well—I am still accepting commissions and have two slots available!

Y'all are more than welcome to hit me up, as there is no deadline as to when I'm stopping! I might also double the slots to give more people an opportunity if they want a chance.

A few things to consider —

I do require 50% of the payment up front to reserve the spot. The other half is required upon completion.

I do both canon characters and OCs. I actually won't charge extra for a tiny bit of research on the former. UwU'

However, for complex lore and continuity compliance, as well as explicit material, I will charge an additional fee. Around 10% for complex lore/continuity compliance, and a whopping 20% for explicit.

I will do one major revision pass after showing you, if need be. Anything more after that such as any more major revisions/rewrites, will be charged an extra fee of $7.

All of this is to keep the experience as Fair and as simple as possible. Please note that this is also actually my first time doing commissions of this sort. Those who are more experienced in this area than I am are more than welcome to offer me advice or pointers on this matter.

I welcome it all UwU' I absolutely enjoy writing for people, and if it helps me pay my bills? Even better.

I also have a Patreon, and I do intend to redo it. Primarily to focus on the work I do and the current projects in progress that I have behind the scenes. I hope to start posting chapters of said work in progress sometime this year!

Hopefully, earlier rather than later. I originally wanted to cap it off at 50,000 words.

That...didn't happen.

But that's okay! Just meant that I had more words in me for it! However, once I finish writing, that's when I'll probably start the editing and rewriting phase. I'm sure many writers have experienced that. The plot evolves into something else after more inspiration is introduced during the writing process.

Anyway, that's enough yapping for me at the moment. I'll be on and about throughout the day. Maybe I'll have more, maybe not.

Currently thinking about it, but if y'all wanted it, I might actually be inclined to make main blogs for all of my RP blogs.

Pros? You'd have a wide variety of supernatural muses based either in folklore or mythology. In short? There would never be a shortage of ideas!

Cons? Maybe none. Though, it could get a little difficult for me to keep up with since I would have to remember the email address to every single one of them, so we'll see how that works.

So far the only one up that I have that is newish and somewhat active is @the-pomegranate-prince, which portrays my version of Zagreus from Greek Mythology, based on the sources that I have available. Ranging from equal parts internet, to equal parts Supergiant's concept, to simply pulling different headcanons out of my ass.

I can safely say that the first draft of The Glass Dagger is done. Key phrase being the first draft. Because the first draft was essentially me telling myself the story so that I could get it ready for you guys!

These next couple of weeks will be mostly centered around getting the second draft ready for posting on A03.

Due to the nature of some elements in the glass dagger, I fear that Tumblr's guidelines and regulations would probably be clutching their pearls. Yeah, some of the themes in The Glass Dagger are not suitable for all audiences.

So for the sake of arguing with the guidelines, to A03 it is. But, I will be posting links to the chapters on this blog.

Mostly for my peace of mind.

Bits and pieces of the story will be posted here as well, but not enough to spoil what's to come. I will say the second draft will contain a little more of a trigger warning all throughout.

Like the first draft already was a trigger warning. That much, I'm sure I didn't need to say what with all the general themes that will be involved.

But the second one is more that but in bold. There will be more emphasis on themes of obsession, violence, and overall supernatural fuckery abound.

In short? This story is definitely not for those under the age of 18 or the faint of heart. I will be posting a trigger warning list prior to posting.

The second draft of The Glass Dagger is more editing and adding more beats to the story, and overall polishing things that I didn't get to doing first time around.

Basically making it look pretty, if that's even possible!

With that in mind, I'm excited to start posting chapters here coming up in late March/April, mayhaps even early May at the latest.

Howdy, Your Local Lorekeeper here—

So, as you may know, it's November! The year is almost up, and last month I accomplished... absolutely nothing. Burn out, mental health, work, and real life shenanigans have completely taken away any drive to be present. I'll be here, but slowly.

I have no progress to report whatsoever on The Descent Down Below, but that it's still a WIP. I don't know if I'll do anymore edits or updates to the project after some things came up that still...make me rather angry and annoyed that happened, but oh well. It is what it is. Still probably gonna work on it, but until I'm in a better headspace, I'm taking a break away from the project.

This isn't me scrapping it completely. Just a well-needed breather because my brain has 47 tabs open, one's playing music, two are frozen, and the mouse is missing. Yaaaay ADHD. Love that for me.

In lighter news, I will be doing something for NaNoWriMo this year! I'm afraid if I say too much more I'll lose the muse, but I'm kind of excited to write it, suffice to say! Stay tuned, y'all! ✨
