Lore made many mistakes as a Commander and after she resigned, she went totally downhill. She started to see her worth when despite of everything she had done, Aurene chose her as Champion, and her friends invited her to join Dragon’s Watch.

Hey, Otyka! In your journey you met so many people and overheard so many conversations. Do you have a favourite, or one that was somehow the most memorable for you?

Otyka tilted her head back, her laugh a sonorous sound that in the hushed halls of the Priory tended to draw offended looks from other scholars.

“Raven, that’s an impossible question! I’ve found many conversations memorable, for all kinds of reasons. Time and place matters for most of them.”

Otyka stood, crossed the room in a few strides, and from a packed, narrow shelf that took even her full norn height to reach she pried loose a journal. The soft leather cover was beaten and worn, and the entire journal itself was warped in shape; from where it had been squashed between two larger tomes, and from the countless times it had been forced to fit among the many odds-and-ends items of an adventurer’s backpack.

“When I learn something more about a particular people, I write it down in here,” Otyka said, flipping through several pages with her thumb. “I learned that sylvari can be stillborn, and that the kodan have beliefs about reincarnation.” 

She set the journal down, flattening it open with her palm, and turned it to face her guest. “I’ve learned that tengu don’t cook their food, and what Elona’s human ghosts think of the Black Citadel. It goes on.”

Verna & Neriander

Verna felt a tickling sensation at her back, at the area of the sockets. It was as if something was pulling her, but it wasn’t painful - only new. This sensation puzzled her, until she realized what it could mean.

“Oh! Neri! Neri! I think I’m going to awaken soon!”, Verna exclaimed;“isn’t this exciting! I don’t even know what’s the first thing I’ll do! Ooh, I wanna taste and smell and touch so many things!”

But as she looked at Neriander’s face, she didn’t share the same happiness Verna felt. Instead, there were tears prickling at the corners of her eyes.

“What’s wrong, Neri?” Verna lift her hand to brush off the tears, and Neri hold on to it with hers.

“Please...don’t say goodbye. I don’t know when I will awaken, what if I’ll never do?”

“Don’t worry about me, I’ll be waiting for you!”

“No matter how long you might have to wait?”

“I’ll wait as long as I need! We’ll see each other again, Neri, I-”

And in a blink of an eye, the Dream and Neriander disappeared before Verna’s eyes, and she felt like she was falling. However, that didn’t last long, as she landed with a soft thump. Her head spin, and the bright light overtook her vision - she heard muffled voices around her, and then she felt a pair of hands grab her, and pull her out.

🌸 What are some of their favourite things and why? (for everyone:D)

Oh wow everyone would be a lot! Here’s a shorter list, I hope that’s okay!

Amwyl: the little, happy noises Lea makes when he kisses him, morning runs, sweets dripping with honey, the dusty smell of the priory’s books

Nettle: the time of day right before the sun rises, perfectly brewed tea, the scent of jasmine coming through the window, receiving letters and staying up late rereading every word

Prekk: sail boats with the wind carrying them along, ice cold water with a bit of lemon, an old book and pendent of his mothers, having the his ears rubbed

Ryrra: playful competitions, big swords she care barely lift, bubblegum, waking up surrounded by giant blankets and Braham’s arms.

Kiora: deep, deep water, coffee, when snowflakes land in Solvi’s eyelashes and don’t melt, rings with big, rough stones

Fawn: new wine vintages, the stray cats that live in the vineyard, sparring matches with Ren, Laurent’s dance recitals

1328 AE, Verdant Brink

The mesmer opened her bag, and took the stolen book out of it. For a few seconds she just nervously stood there. Even holding it made her feel so unclean. The ominous energy surrounding the ancient tome was terrible, and the giant snake-like eye on its cover stared at her as if it had been waiting. She cautiously untied the belt on it, but for a second she hesitated.

She knew very well that Senti will never forgive her for stealing it, and especially not for what she was about to do. Lore felt sick in her stomache as she imagined their anger and disappointment about her, and all her stupid actions. Then their face in her mind faded, replaced by the silhouette of a certain sylvari. A flashback as he was leaning above a map deeply in heavy thoughts, but he looked up and genuinely smiled as he saw her entering the room. The same man who was holding Caladbolg at the edge of the cliff as facing Zhaitan, who kindly laughed while he was playing with his cats, who looked so serious yet dreamy while talking about Orrian history, who fell asleep on his table again by a candle, his books and a cup of tea that had already turned cold. They have spent so many years together in the Pact, and he never noticed the way she gazed at him everytime he looked away.

Without hesitation, she opened the book.

(She doesn’t actually have Caladbolg, because in our fanfiction Trahearne is still alive and fine. I just love this aesthetic~.)

Two headcanons you have for your muse:

◆ Lore loves moas. Her foster parents gave her a blue moa, Berry, as a Wintersday present when he was a chick. He is left at her family, next to her cottage. Berry is always waiting for Lore to come back when she goes on missions.

◆ As a teen, her noble aunt to invited her into the family to get education in Divinity’s Reach, and she hated it - just as her dad did when he was young. She chose her commoner foster parents with the moa farm as a real family, instead of the superficial noble life.

Three things that your muse likes doing in their free time:

 ◆ playing the violin. One of the her favourite things in Divinity’s Reach was learning how to play the violin. She loves to be alone and practice, recalling the melodies that her father used to play a lot when she was a child.

 ◆ herbary and alchemy. Lore loves herbs and flowers. She has studied herbary, and experimented with the different healing abilities of plants to make potions. She also likes to make tea in unique variations, and drinks while reading and relaxing at her cottage.

 ◆ being at her cottage in Shaemoor. When her parents disappeared, her neighbours who own a farm raised her like she was their daughter. She didn’t like being in the cottage alone when she was a child, but now she finds it a peaceful and cosy place full of her past, and she wants to fill it with new and good memories. So she often invites her friends, and it eventually became a frequent hang-out place for Dragon’s Watch.

Trahearne: she’d do literally anything for him, except confessing she loves him

Chaechus (lazyloath): sometimes really good friends almost kill each other, multiple times

Canach: she had a time in life when he and his snarky comments were the best company

Senticetum Lionheart (lazyloath): one day, they should stop arguing. one day

Braham: she screeched happily when he called her his best friend. then she realised he’s drunk

Rytlock: grumpy look, big heart

Gorrik: pure cinnamon roll she must protect. at times she brings him bugs from the garden

A phobia your muse has: Necrophobia & Thanatophobia

Lore is scared of death in every aspects, like corpses, dying and of losing someone to death. She actually had the talent to become a very strong necromancer, but she trained hard to be a kinda-okay mesmer because she is terrified of necromancy and dislikes it. (Because dealing with demons is really so much better.)
