She tightened her arms just slightly, a hand going up to brush gently through his hair. ❝I know, Killian. I know. I’m sorry this is something you have to deal with, but please just remember you don’t have to do it on your own.❞ Rayne wasn’t going to let him forget that. Thinking he was in this on his own wasn’t going to do anything but make it harder and it had the potential to ruin him. If there was one thing she didn’t want in the whole of the world, it was for Killian to end up as screwed up as her.
❝I can work on my files from home. Why don’t you come stay with me a while?❞ She didn’t let him go. Part of her didn’t even want to because she was afraid he’d fall apart. Losing Liam was enough to tear him to pieces and Rayne couldn’t let that happen–it wasn’t something easy to come back from.
It hadn’t even occurred to him that he could stay with Rayne, that he wouldn’t have to be on his own every night and drink his pain away. It should’ve been an obvious thought, considering the two were near inseparable best friends when they were younger. She would never turn him away, especially now. But that just showed how far gone he was because of Liam’s death. He nodded against her shoulder, not quite ready to let go of Rayne yet. “I think I might need that. I’ll have to stop at our place and get a few things...”
Honestly, getting out of his and Liam’s apartment would do him a hell of a lot more good than anything else he could do. Getting away from everything that reminded him of his brother and their life, away from the constant flow of emotions that coursed through him the moment he saw their front door.

I just did some serious editing to Losing Liam, all the typos should be gone now, and there are some adjustments too the plot, as well as a few tiny extra scenes.
Losing Liam - Liam is forgetting everything and everyone and there is nothing Zayn can do about it.
