Lost In Seville
idk why I'm sharing this now it literally happened months ago but its still fresh in my mind so enjoy this word vomit that was caused by actual vomit.
i get lost a lot, i don't know how or why but i always get turned around or go off on my own. i went on a trip to spain with some kids from my school and it was honestly the best and worst 13 days of my life, we saw so many things and it was absolutely amazing at times.
on april 25th we were suppose to visit a school in seville but they canceled last minute. (in all honesty i would have too the kids i my school are terrible).
our tour guide suggested we went bike riding and i was throwing up so i asked if i could sit out on the bike tours.
i was told to stay back with one of the owners of the bikes, one friendly woman and a old man, i was praying to any and every god that the woman would stay back with me but she ended up riding the bikes with the rest of the group.
the man led me to the van were the kept the bikes,,, i kid you not this van, this fucking white van, had scratch marks on the passenger side of the dashboard.
i had the bright idea of rewatching hostel on the train and all i could imagine were the senes from the movie but with me dying.
i don't quite remember the mans name i was honestly to scared to care
he asked my age and i was basically shiting myself because what the fuck are you suppose to to in that situation? jump out of a moving van in a unfamiliar city? (the irony of that oh god)
i held up one finger and then six and he smiled and asked me something in spanish that sounded a hell of a lot like number when he actually asked for my name. (i was honestly holding back the tears at that point)
i tried to explain that my name started with an ‘e’ not an ‘a’ after he confused my name with “ama”.
anyways after riding around in a sketchy white van for 10 more minutes i wss reunited with my shitty group, we all walked around for a few minutes until we arrive at our meet up spot for the evening before dinner, half an hour from the hostel.
i asked the girls i was hanging around with if one of them would come back with me to the hostel so i could grab a chapstick and my phone and the all said no and complained how it was too far of a walk, so i was looking for my teacher and her family so i could get directions to were we were staying.
when found her she asked me if anyone was with me and i said no and she gave me a map and pointed me in the directon and she waked away and i was alone for the second time that day.
i wound up going thee miles in the wrong direction because i was looking at the map the wrong way.
after crying to a police officer and asking a friendly french couple i found some lady handing out free sample and she was able to point me in the direction of the river, and after waling around and crying some other woman found me and took me to her place of work which was literally a block from my hostel and i started to cry more, thanking her for helping me.
and i was walking up to the hostel i passed a group of boys doing hard drugs, I'm not even kidding watched one inject themselves with something the lit ip in a spoon.
after i finally received my chapstick and my phone i released that nobody really knew were i was so i texted one of the teachers over ig and got the address of were they want dot meet up with me and after about 10 minutes of me trying to explained to him why i couldn't take a cab i finally asked siri to give me directions,,,,,
why i did this i don't know
i walked 6 miles to a starbucks and as soon as i walked into the door the same teacher who gave me the map scolded me for going off on my own, she later apologized and said she only outed me infront of the rest of the group so nobody else would do the same thing. she was even nice enough to let me and my friend stay back at the starbucks and order drinks. (which the barista spelt my name ama)
