Lakan essentially stalking Maomao while she is in doing her Court lady duties and glaring at any man who talks to her is so funny. He is just a dad who wants his daughter to look at him and she won't even give him the time of day and all this because Maomao is jealous of the fact that Louman praises Lakan so much when he is usually so very selective with his praise.

That and the fact that she thinks he is lazy when she herself is the exact same. Like genuinely she is the epitome of girls who are like their fathers who don't want to be like their fathers (girl that call is coming from inside the house)

Like this novel is so funny. everything is so unserious and it's treated so seriously.

Basically crack treated seriously and it's so good.

I think Loumen could get away with murder (he probably has).

He’s smart enough to do it, and he can easily hide all the evidence.

I mean he could easily poison someone and say he doesn’t know what the causes.

And if someone finds out and tells someone there’s a high chance that they’ll be banned from the Verdigris House and who would take that risk.

I can forgive Lakan for a lot of things (seeing as he had no way of being their for Maomao and Fengxian at the beginning and he obviously has issues with social skills…)

BUT EVEN IF Maomao didn’t want anything to do with him, HE STILL SHOULD HAVE PAID FOR HER AND LOUMANS RENT! Maomao says in canon MULTIPLE TIMES that their shack was FRIGID and they were always tight on money for food. It’s the absolute minimum imo😑
