Not me thinking (again) about how Louis would conjure up DreamStat to console him and comfort him and realizing just how badly Louis had to be missing him and yearning for him all those years to the point his chest must’ve been aching and squeezing his lungs to the point he couldn’t breathe, and his only lifeline was his memory of Lestat and what their companionship had truly been like.
Louis’ photography hobby in particular — Louis knew Lestat would find his photos beautiful and would frame them and have them displayed all over their townhouse just because Louis took them.
Just like he knew Lestat had his initials inscribed on the ticket pocket, and that’s why the suit was Louis’ favorite just like Lestat’s unwavering trust and devotion and love was his favorite and what he was aching to have again. Louis just wanted his Lestat back. He wanted his best friend. He wanted his coal fire. He wanted his heart back.
And then realizing the utter joy and relief Louis would’ve felt when he finally (FINALLY!) had his heart back in his arms and felt like he could breathe again for the first time in 82 years.
I have to stop with these constant Loustat thoughts, because it makes me ache to the point of tears. They just love each other so much. It always comes back to them and their hearts beating in sync and their lungs breathing in sync and how the implication of that is neither of them can live without the other. Their very existence is dependent upon the majesty of their love. ♥️
