first models of my new flute line. Rim blown Sunflower and Lvcage flutes, painted with ochres. Sealed with self made resin lacqeur and shellac. Each stalk I use for making these flutes is carefully selected and cut and dried by me. Some of the pigments I use for painting the flutes are also collected, ground and made into pigments by myself. These are just models, not yet for sale. To make sure they will last a long time, I will play the models by myself, take them everywhere I go and finally I put them in an unheated barn during winter. If the flutes are not cracked and the lacqeur is not chipped off by then, I can make new flutes, using these as standards. The flutes are no real ney or kawalas.
