So
My Rick's house is kinda done
Wanted to draw lots of fuckin shrooms on the land but I got bored. Maybe someday.
hug a tree!
How it started vs. How it's going
little (very little) thing i came up with while listening to a venture by yes (incredible song btw),, simply for practice since i haven’t written anything in a while :>
the look in his eyes as he viewed the vast greenness with passion and hope would’ve brought an emotionless person to tears.
the boy who had simple dreams about running through the trees without a care in the world sat at his window, his only connection to the woods in the stone cage they call a castle.
he sighed and looked away, knowing that the chance of freedom and bliss was far from happening.
or was it?
a single plan worked its way into the prince’s head, a plan that might just change his life forever.
as soon as he thought more on how to execute this plan, he jumped up, grabbed a rope that was thrown into the corner of his room, tied it to his sturdy bedpost, and tossed the end out of the window.
he then looked out the window to make sure the end of the rope reached the ground, and to his delight, it did. smiling, the boy quickly grabbed a satchel, packed some snacks he had laying around, and a small axe, just in case he was in the hands of danger.
before he climbed down the rope, he made sure that the bedpost would hold his weight, which luckily, it did. he quickly whispered a small word of thanks before he got a grip of the rope and swung his legs out of the window.
a cool breeze greeted the boy with a gush of wind right to his face. with a small smile, the boy started to climb down the rope, each movement down got his heart rate increasing, excitement flowing throughout his body.
when his delicate feet touched the soft grass, he thought that he’d have a heart-attack with how fast his heart was pounding in his chest. the breeze had completely surrounded him in a welcoming hug, and he relished the feeling.
his smile widened, and he took off running to the trees, not thinking about what the others will say when they find him missing, and that’s just how he wanted it.

a day had passed since the prince left the stone walls of the castle and made his way to the freeness of the woods, and his parents were worried sick about him. the queen had gone absolutely deranged when she noticed her son’s room was lacking his presence, and by her say, the king had sent out many troops to seek for their son.
that afternoon, the boy came wandering back, a crown made of purple aster flowers adorning his head. a knight standing guard at the front gates had noticed him, and had a farmer near by send a message to the king and queen saying their son was back.
when we got closer to the front gates, the prince was escorted to his room by the guard, where hid parents were waiting for him. some time had passed since he entered the room with his parents, but when he exited, he looked solemn. his parents, on the other hand, looked as proud and regal as ever.
a little while after the talk with his parents, the prince walked over to where his friends were waiting for him. brushing the act of sadness he put on, he enthusiastically told them about what it was like in the vast green-ness of freedom beyond the castle walls. they got excited about his experience, and when he noticed, he told them “why must we stay locked up behind these cold, dreary walls of the kingdom? why can we not live our lives the way we want to live them? i say at dawn, we all meet by the haystack by the well and we all leave his cage of stone for good. what do you say?” his friends all agreed, and so they began their journey to pack all of their belongings, head for the hills, and never look back.
