“Claydol!” Faba hadn’t even meant to let his pokemon out of its pokeball, but he must’ve pressed a button on one of the pokeballs when he had his hand in his pocket. But the Claydol didn’t mind, it was trying to look around the place. There were trees, grass- so much green! The buildings, too! It just wanted to look at everything.
Faba had no choice but to follow his pokemon to the edge of the town, at the start of a route. “Claydol, we have more important things to do!” At the sound of its trainer’s voice, the pokemon turned to face him, tilting itself over slightly as if it was tilting its head. But eventually, it gave what appeared to be a nod and went to its trainer’s side, reaching up and putting its hands on one of his arms as he tried to reach for the Claydol’s pokeball with it.
He was going to tell it to let go of him, but he couldn’t quite manage to do so for a few reasons. One being that this was actually almost...cute to him, and the other being that there were other trainers around. And if having this Claydol hold his arm like this meant that his reputation could only get better, why not let it? Yes, the branch chief of the Aether Foundation had to look as friendly as every other member, didn’t he?
