Lovespoons are the best because they completely eliminate the whole "Do you buy the ring to propose with so it's special, or do you wait until after to buy it together but leave the proposal feeling incomplete?" thing. Like. You just carve your special spoon, and propose with that, and then you can show off your spoon to people and hang it on display and things before you go and get the ring together to make sure it's the right one. And if it's well made you could even use your spoon for stirring and the like. Can't do that with a ring. Everyone should be more like the Welsh.
