The two most common types are sexual exploitation and labor exploitation, with sexual exploitation making up more than half the human trafficking crimes. If you didn’t know, there is organ trafficking as well! . 2️⃣ Trafficking, in all types, mostly impacts women and children. According to ACT Alberta, ¾’s of the trafficked persons they assist are women and children. . 3️⃣ Human trafficking is everywhere. Most believe that this happens only in developing countries. This is not the case! In Canada, most human trafficking happens internally rather than being trafficked into Canada from broad. . 4️⃣ Unlike drugs, humans can be sold repeatedly.
