Poetry is supposed to be anything you want it to be; like a form of art and self expression. I think alot of times we cling to thoughts and ideas of what was and what could have been, and at times we romanticize things. I’ve written about so many themes, people, places, but essentially, I’m very much inspired by love and relationships overall.

Blame and regret...two heavy things to carry. Sometimes it’s no one’s fault, but the universe doing what it does best. Sometimes two people are forced to distance themselves because there are too many signs indicating it’s necessary. Other times, it’s about what we are willing to, and not willing to give up to chase someone and where they’re heading. I worked hard to be where I’m at right now and I don’t regret it. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I did chase love, romance, or even a city...yet I chose not to. This is where blame comes in- some people will blame you for the things you didn’t want to chase. I chose myself, my mental health, my career, and still regret nothing. Maybe all I regret is not speaking about this to that certain someone. To anyone reading this: everything happens for a greater purpose. You are exactly where you need to be. If someone is meant for you...it’ll come and you won’t feel like you have to sacrifice so much. #ltphoenixpoetry . . . .
