After some adjustments and research, I finally finish Lucian background and fact of him.

BACKGROUND:

Lucian is a priest, a descendant of St. Lucy, and a carrier of an ancient Romanian blood-curse.

From an early age, he possessed a terrifying psychic "Sight" inherited from his mother. This gift allowed him to perceive the hidden rot of the world, the malignant spirits and unseen horrors that walk among the living. However, in his youth, he tragically failed to prevent his mother's demise.

Because of their lineage, his mother’s soul did not find peace; she risked becoming a Strigoi: a restless, predatory spirit that would be forced to feed on the life force of her own kin. To save her from this "Second Death," Lucian fulfilled her final wish: he entered the priesthood. He discovered that his state of grace and his sacred vows acted as a Sanctuary, a spiritual tether that keeps her soul sanctified and prevents her from turning into a monster.

Seeking to stay near his father, Lucian joined a seminary in the smog choked streets of Liverpool. It was there he met John Constantine, a rogue occultist who represented every "bad decision" the Church warned against. John was blasphemous, reckless, and dangerously alluring, yet their bond ignited instantly.

A mix of intellectual rivalry and a deep, soul-stirring longing.

Lucian’s life became a battlefield of Catholic guilt. He warred between his devotion to the cloth, which kept his mother’s soul from the darkness and his burning love for a man deemed "spiritually unpure." Every moment of temptation with John felt like a crack in the Sanctuary he built for his mother. Terrified that his "sin" would cause her to finally turn into a Strigoi, Lucian chose his faith over his heart. He abandoned John without a word, fleeing back to the safety of Rome to live a life of rigorous self-denial.

Years later, Lucian has returned to England, running a small church and orphanage under the watchful eye of a stern Mother Superior. He has finally come to terms with his identity, realizing that his capacity to love John does not diminish his light. Though he still carries a vial of his mother’s grave-earth to keep her at peace, he no longer hides from his truth.

The Strigoi are believed to be undead beings who rise from their graves to suck the life force from the living. In which these deceased individuals who rise from their graves, return to torment their families and communities because something was left unfinished.

Also fun fact: Lucian would place basil at the entrances of the orphanage, the children dorms and the nuns dorm to ward off negative energy and bring good luck. In which, basil is a sacred plant used for both spiritual protection and divination. the basil is blessed at church, touched by holy water, sometimes even by the priest’s own hand.

Also if you’re wondering, why is there nuns and a mother superior? The church was originally built with a wing for a teaching or nursing order. But since Lucian is a Parish Priest (handling the sacraments), the nuns are there to run the Orphanage as a separate but connected entity. Even though Lucian is technically "the boss" of the church building, the Mother Superior is the "boss" of the orphanage and the household.

The adults in Lucian’s childhood viewed his psychic gifts not as a heavy, terrifying burden on a child, but as a spiritual resource. Instead of protecting his innocence, the community and the seminary structures weaponized his connection to the supernatural. They treated him as a shield against malevolent spirits, forcing a young boy to stand on the front lines of cosmic horrors that the adults themselves were too weak or too terrified to face.
