Raiden wants to be a good partner for Valerie, but he doesn't know how to let her know that he appreciates her. So, he turned to the Mavericks and learned a few things. One way to keep things fresh between them is Raiden learning how to flirt... You already know where this is going.
Raiden sits on the couch by himself, absentmindedly staring at the TV without actually watching it. When Valerie walks in, Raiden looks at her and realizes... Man, he wants to cuddle her. Gotta invite her over to chill for a bit. So it's time to try a line he learned from Michael.
"Walking around with an entire bakery like I don't have a sweet tooth, why don't you come over here, baby girl?"
He has all the confidence of a cat in a room full of dogs. He feels gross, but hopeful. But at least he's trying, right?
Valerie stared at Raiden like he spoke absolute gibberish. He sounded like he was possessed by Michael. Or a drunk tourist. That seemed to be the only logical thing. The ranger could never, in a million years, see those words come out of Raiden's mouth.
"Are... are you okay?" And to just rule anything else out, Valerie did come over, just to put a hand on Raiden's forehead. He didn't feel feverish. It was probably Michael.
