"watching dressrosa and conflicted about my weird doffy feelings" moodboard
sir croc after seeing luffy's new bounty: mr. one did you see my son's new bounty
mr. one: excuse me what
sir croc: my son. luffy. you remember him. here look i have pictures of him in my wallet
mr. one: yeah. that kid beat you in the head and ass right
sir croc wiping a tear from his eye: he was so angry and so wet
listen as luffy i may have been a bit of a mess and kind of all over the place but, lets be real. i rocked that fucking pineapple shirt look. iconique.
and the carp costume? oh man. mindblowing.
as luffy i was just unconsciously a major fashion icon. how did i make all those outfits work with the straw hat? thats right. pure unadulterated animal charisma
somehow... apollo justice and monkey d. luffy.... have the Exact same energy
apollo just learned how to channel his hyperfocus on rebellion into becoming a competent lawyer... while luffy became the world’s best pirate
though w the way this case is going apollo might snatch mr. wright’s winning streak right out from under him......... heh
you may be asking yourself, “how tf is apollo aceattorney also usami goldenkamuy, who is also luffy onepiece,” to which i have to say, i wish i knew, but i promise... there’s a connection in there.... somewhere
i’ve noticed something that follows me from life to life is this sense of intense devotion. i gravitate towards a cause and dedicate my entire life to it. it fluctuates from being a healthy sense of devotion to an unhealthy obsession in different lives and i understand why that is, but it’s interesting to notice.
as luffy, i was devoted to being free, to being the pirate king, to being the man who could go anywhere he wanted.
as josuke, i was devoted to keeping the people i loved safe. and i was so, so devoted to rohan.
as luke, i was devoted to the force.
as doffy, i was devoted to my family. rosi, and then law, and then the strawhats, and-- you get it.
as usami, obviously, i was dedicated to tsurumi.
as shiraishi... i’m not sure what i had, when i was younger. i was devoted to freedom, in a sense, for a long time. breaking out of prison, getting caught, breaking out again. i felt lost for a long time, since i didn’t really have anything to do other than go back to prison. i think that meeting asirpa and sugimoto really did something, though -- after asirpa had me help her, i realized i wanted to devote myself to them. i wasn’t much help in that life, at least not physically, but i think i provided a little extra heart in our small family. if that was all i could do, i was happy to do it.
i dunno. i’ve got more kintypes and more devotions i remember, but these are the big ones for now. i’ve just consistently found a cause or a person or an ideal and put my life on the line for it.
that episode threw me right into a luffy shift and also gave me cool fun new memories of the kakaturi fight
god damn. it was so cool. it hurt so fucking bad but it was so cool
