⌘ : Where do you get some of your inspirations for plots/head canons? Offer an example, if possible.

I kinda pull from things I like and know... For my hingan characters I lived in Japan and I kinda take a lot of inspiration from the places I lived and some experiences there. I spent a lot of time when I lived in Kyoto around Temples and Shrines and hiking and stuff while taking my photography courses for my film degree, so I really like...took that opportunity to learn a lot.

But some things...like for Aki... I will admit I pulled SOME inspiration from Natsume’s Book of Friends for some mechanical things. Like the Yokai names and Shiki...his body is like the book of friends haha. 

But like...in general I like to pull from what I know. For Cyr, for example, I have family in the middle east and I thought a lot about the architecture and areas where they live and the history for the aesthetic around that character. It’s just easy for me to build on my current knowledge of the real world to make things in a fantasy world!

Plots....come out of my ass haha. Like no joke. I like to build a whole world that has a lot of threads and then I can just pull a thread and build off of it to make a plot. haha

Haha I actually don’t wear acrylics. I was a hard gel person for years and then switched to dip polish. But the weight of the growth on those wore a hole that my nail tech used acrylic to patch. I hate acrylic because it lifts so easily >.<

Dip manicures are amazing though! And a lot faster than both acrylic and gel. And cheaper. And last longer.

Hellhound: Brains or brawn–which describes your muse best?

Going again with Nimie and Galatea - and brains for both.  Nimie’s a brilliant archaeologist with a greater understanding of Allagan technology and history than the vast majority of the populace.  Galatea is an ancient machine created to conduct aetherochemical experiments.  It’s brains for both.

Deepeye: Does your muse demonstrate self-awareness?

Aha, I’d say no for Nimie.  Her greatest flaws are her recklessness and arrogance - and her tendency to tunnel vision when she has a goal in mind.  Not exactly the most self-aware of people.

Galatea, on the other hand, is painfully self-aware - aware of the fact that her purpose is long obsolete, her masters long dead, and herself long abandoned.  She is under no illusions as to her importance - and dreads the loneliness and ennui of a purposeless existence.
