- Phew, that’s dark! Although man, the situation in Undertale must be pretty bleak if Sans and Papyrus escape there and Sans is still like “Well I’m trying to get back to where I came from!” But yes, people can write their own fanfics if they wish. ;) 

-  Thanks very much, I’m glad that you thought the story had the right amount of balance for you! For the questions...the town was pretty isolated decades ago too, and there were not the same resources for looking into things as might exist in the current time. Other humans might have noticed their friends missing after awhile, but if they go asking around town and no one gives them any solid answers, there’s not much they can go on, and it becomes a bit of a weird unsolved mystery/cold case for most of the population. Also no, Sans didn’t know Gaster; Gaster was trapped underground with the humans before Sans was even born.

Honestly in comic Toriel does say “potentially”, actually you can use this confusion to introduce new information to Toriel and other characters, like Toriel argue that Asriel is technically 17 because he died at 12, and it’s only 5 years later, Asriel would bring up age up magic(but fail because Toriel would argue it’s not mentally), then he talks about time loop... cue everyone’s shock.

I always think bugs are(mostly) human sized! It's one reason: the water in City of Tears behave like water to human but not real life bugs(though Hallownest bugs sink like freaking stone)

...That’s a good point! The bugs are massive enough to sink, rather than acting like water striders. The closest thing we get is the Durandoos which appear to simply be tall enough to walk on the bottom, they aren’t really pulling surface tension tricks.

(It’s also worth noting that it’s specifically the husks that sink, when the visuals of the infection seem to suggest that a husk- who has already been killed by it- is full of fluid that would make them heavier; and Ghost, who is, well, slightly less possessing of organs than the average creature, floats on top of water without any effort like their head is a bobber)

I don't think you can get godmaster ending without voidheart.

so i had to go back and double check because i was like oh damn maybe i misremembered smthg, but iirc to get voidheart, you gotta

git gud against hornet for the king’s brand,

get into the abyss (with king’s brand) for the shade cloak to see the white lady for 1/2 kingsoul, 

defeat all the dream bosses for the awakened dreamnail,

get through the white palace for the other 1/2 kingsoul,

go to the abyss and transform kingsoul to voidheart,

and none of these events actually require any of the dreamers to be dead.

like you totally do need voidheart to get the godmaster ending, but voidheart itself is actually fairly disconnected from the dreamer quest. 

which is a cool little factoid that i hadn’t realized at all until just now, actually.

we get a bit of a look on Thistlewind and Markoth, and the statues to a degree

Alright, looks like I’ll swing by the Resting Grounds and sniff around a bit for them tomorrow! (I’ve been squinting at Markoth and I don’t thiiiink you see his body, just a bit of his foof by his legs but I’m staring at screenshots aha)

I tried designing a luna moth character, and used Markoth and Thistlewind to guess what the moths look like with their wings out. It's really rough but would you like to see?
