What ever happened to a KND video you made i believe it used the song dead hearts? is that something that can be resalvaged?

SO i was completely unaware of this but my video was blocked in the united states lol i just checked the stats

actually i would consider it as development. the reason for sapphires change was her desire to stand on equal ground with ruby forsaking such girlish qualities in the process (however not knowing that he changed as well). now that they have met again and grew closer affections rise and sapphire now chooses to outwardly express such girlish qualities accepting them more now. however she still prefers strength over girlishness but she does not deny it now either.

I wouldn’t call it development, because like...development is when characters make progress on some internal conflict. Sapphire’s RS -> ORAS change was just...change. She was 12. Now she’s 15. People change really really fucking rapidly until...fuck, they never stop, really? But it’s super rapid through your teens. 

And I don’t think the ways in which she changed were ones that had to do with “girlishness” etc. Most of Sapphire’s RS -> ORAS growth as a person, as I see it, is just the emotional evening out that tends to happen as you move out of your preteens and realize that growling at and biting people is not as cool and interesting as you thought it was. ORAS Sapphire is still loud and brash and confident and secure in herself, all the same underpinnings of her personality that were there before, just expressed in a more mature way.

When I was 12, I took what characters did to be the core of who they were, so 12-year-old me would definitely have gotten upset about Sapphire getting into completely average human emotional entanglements instead of doubling down on the Tarzan stuff.

As far as the “girlishness” thing for Sapphire goes...I think it’s easy to reduce her issues to that, because there’s definitely gender role commentary embedded in RS/ORAS, but there was always more to it than that and as of ORAS especially I don’t think that even factors into her personality or behavior. She is who she is and she is comfortable being that person, and I don’t think Sapphire is the kind of person who is capable of forcing herself to do things she doesn’t genuinely enjoy in the long term. (Or of forcing herself to not do things she does enjoy.) So, like, I don’t think there’s a conflict there anymore for her to have character development over. Her development in ORAS wasn’t about how she treats herself, it was one of those growing-up things where you realize that other people are fucking weird sometimes and you have to start figuring out how you’re going to deal with and relate to them.

Nah I’m not making it a sexist thing. It’s p sexist on its own without me doing anything. Like the thing is, if a man doesn’t “get it” like Mr. 3 with dorry and broggy’s fight, it’s a commentary on his moral character. When a woman doesn’t get it, it’s a natural part of being a woman, at least that’s the way the narrative frames it. Nami and Vivi didn’t understand dorry and broggy’s fight but luffy and usopp understood immediately. There’s that ummemorable lady who tried to interrupt senor pink and franky’s fight too and there was a similar framing that we see here, which is a lady not getting it about a manly fight. It’s not a “smart” thing it’s about the position that these two types of people have. And there’s this pattern of women always having the position of “my ally is in a fight, I want to help my ally” while the heroic or noble men tend to have the “this is a fight between me and him, nobody interfere otherwise it’s not honorable.” And yes, not all men go for that, and some might even flip flop. But that’s because male characters are characters treated with different opinions. Women are treated as “too different” and “unable to comprehend” (thus the “women don’t like robots” joke). If the “woman’s position” was treated as noble in its own sense as the “manly man’s position” then there would be less of a problem. But it’s always wrong, apparently. And flambé is the brat and superficial one while katakuri is the noble enemy and to be admired. Dunno how anybody can say for sure that smoothie wouldn’t do this because she would understand the philosophy, because we certainly hadn’t have seen her do much. And either way it’s pretty irrelevant, considering that whether they would or not, the reality is that there’s a pattern here that is. And it’s pretty annoying.

their is just one issue behind your analysis that i risk my neck to say. while shino is flattered by yamagi’s feelings and would have accepted them he doesn’t for one reason. he sees yamagi as a sibling, a family member among their group that considers themselves family. and while the regards of homosexuality may be more accepted here i don’t think incest or even “spiritual incest” is in his eyes.

No need to be worried here, kind stranger. How someone interprets the same situation is individual. I can see where you’re coming from. It certainly is something to think about.

Maybe someday I will. But that day is not today. Thanks for your input though, and never feel afraid of sharing it. (With me, at least.)

Is it possible for Sun to have both meowth variants, especially since he has lived in an area that had standard meowths. imagine him with both persians.

It could be possible. But whether that happens or not has yet to be seen.

the introduction of a double date between sun/blake and ren/yang. extra points if you wish to go through the whole date. i could see sun and yang dragging around blake and ren while the other two have conversation about their respective partner.

 Yang and Blake wait patiently for their boyfriends to meetthem at the front doors of the school. The two have been waiting a little overa week for this night to come and finally it is here. Both girls have gottenhere early, just in case, and watch for Ren and Sun to get here.

The boys appear down the walkway. Both, yes even Sun, aredressed in a nice tuxedo. When both of them reach their girlfriends, they stickout their arms, waiting for them to grab them.

“You two ready for tonight?” Sun asks.

“Yes I am,” Blake answers.

“You promise not to cause any trouble?” Ren says.

“I’ll try not to,” Yang says with a grin.

you would think that red would be with valor (since he's the "battler" and red), gold would be in instinct (since he's the "breeder" and yellowish), blue would be in mystic (since she's the "evolver" and blue)

oh nah i did it bc blue comes up with lots of plans, red’s a total goof, and gold . . could go either way
