The Commander hadn’t realized it’d been snowing until late in the day. He’d been so preoccupied by completing missions and fulfilling orders that it wasn’t until he passed by a window that spanned near an entire hallway in the Empire Porky Building that he was even able to acknowledge the status of the weather outside. He paused in his walking, his eyes drawn to the flurry of white beyond the glass. He’d seen snow before, there was an area on the islands that always had snow after all, and it had snowed last year too. But...still, as the snow twirled in the air he couldn’t help but be entranced by it, watching as it blanketed the entire city in a layer of white-- 

‘Check up in 20 minutes.’ 

The trance was broken as a notification flashed across the Commander’s vision. Ah-- right. He was heading to the chimera labs for a checkup with Jeff...  As he walked away from the window he couldn’t help but silently ponder if he had time to grab something to bring to the other.

“I’m here” 

The chimera announced as he entered the office of the blond scientist. He wasted little time making his way over to the seat he was always meant to take whenever he came in for ‘check ups’. However, instead of simply going dead silent as he usually did....

“It’s snowing outside” 

He said, as if the snow that was now melting on the jacket he wore wasn’t enough of an indication as to what the weather outside was.

“Ahh! Ness!” Jeff’s rushing to deliver his present to his friend, it’s hastily wrapped it looks like he’s spent countless nights building it. It looks like a normal aluminum baseball bat, but knowing Jeff it’s equipped with enough weaponry to be instantly banned at a baseball game. “Merry Christmas!”

     In all honestly, for how much he adores the gift, the psychic hasn’t the faintest idea of how to feel about it. It’s supreme, of course! Ness knows that deep in his heart he wants to brag about it to his friends and his team   ( which he probably will, knowing him )   but he’s also aware that one swing of it and he will be banned from any baseball game! Knowing Jeff, installed in this precious gem are the craziest ideas that he knows he will like!   He will use it only to play at home, he swears.

     “Ah, thanks Jeff! We should try it out sometimes, what d’you think? Kinda want to try it now, not gonna lie. You free?”

There shouldn’t be anyone else here. It was supposed to be abandoned, a ruined building whose remains stood like a phantom of its former self. The Chimera lab had been torn to shreds from the Dark Dragon’s awakening, and unlike most other places, it hadn’t come back or been rebuilt. 

‘Good’ Claus had thought bitterly when he overheard people speaking of it. It was a horrible place that made the boy’s stomach twist into knots. He’d been one of that horrid place’s ‘successes’. He’d been a child that the lab had warped into a weapon. It and all of its research could burn in hell for all he cared.  Thankfully it had seemed as though no one cared for it anymore. No one attempted to go in and dig through the rubble for information or tools or anything. And that was the way it was supposed to be... 

Today, as Claus chased after a muttshroom that had stolen his book, he was surprised to find that there actually was someone standing near the remains of the chimera lab...The dog-like chimera wagged its tail happily in the forest clearing, ready to take off again in its tag-like game with Claus. However, Claus didn’t focus on the chimera...instead he stared at the boy that was standing there. A boy with blond hair, a bowl cut, glasses...He’d...seen someone like that before...He’d...but where? Where..? 

“Who are you? What are you doing here?” 

Claus finally spoke up, making his presence known.

Klaus gasped, panting heavily as he sat up in bed, nightmares… so many of them usually swarmed his brain. Softly gasping as his chest was in alot of pain when he had nightmares he could of equated them to having a mini heart attack as he held his blanket close. The ultimate chimera softly perked to the boy’s nightmare as it moved to him
