Since this is an ask, here are a few things you can feel free to either answer or ignore. 1) Any fanart of LY/ scenes that you think might be cool to draw? (keep in mind, SFW and I quit drawing regularly 4 years ago so I'm crusty lol) 2) Do you accept asks with speculation? What about me screaming my desires in regards to future topics (ups, I might have already went off on the AO3 comments... don't read them if its a no and also I'll stop if you want to lol)? Could I maybe maybe suggest a scene with these characters not for the near future? (god damn it I'll write phanfic of phanfic again if I have to) Just in general, I'd really like to know your writing boundaries as to not overstep them! fanart: omggggg that's like asking me to pick which of my babies cats I like the most lol. i think it would be cute to see fanart based on dan's instagram story in ly40!! or fanart based on the paparazzi picture of them from the crosswalk!! or dan in his makeup and/or nails from the late show appearance! tbh there's a million good options and i would be grateful for any art anyone wants to create
speculation: absolutely you can send in asks about speculation! i might not be able to respond with much beyond some eyes and a hmmmm but i'm always curious what readers are picking up on and where they think it might be going. i always feel like a ninja when i sneak a chekov's gun in and expect everyone to comment on it and no one does, and vice versa always get a giggle when i accidentally make something small and random seem like a chekov's gun situation.
prompts/desires for future topics in ly: yeah you can send them! back in the day, a few prompts/questions/themes brought up got turned into drabbles in the outtakes fic, and it's possible a few got worked into the main story too idk. i definitelyyyyy don't promise to fill anything because 1) writing things that i'm not passionate about writing is like pulling nails because adhd 2) i've got a very clear (and getting clearer by the day) sense of the rest of the story, so i'm not going to write anything that doesn't fit in with that obvi. BUT that doesn't mean i don't wanna know what people wanna see, if you get me? and doesn't mean i WONT end up writing something either. so yeah, tldr: send all you want but keep your expectations for fulfillment low lol
boundaries re asks: no discussions of ly smut/kink with minors, no unsolicited criticism unless it's like impacting accessibility or i've done a whoopsies and been problematic somehow. i'd rather people don't ask how long the fic is gonna be (wc or chapter count) because it stresses me out to think about, esp since i've never once been able to guess that correctly (scroll back far enough in the ly asks tag and i'm sure you'll see some WILD wc guesses that have been longgg surpassed lol). but i'm also fine with people checking in to see how the next chapter is going/what to expect/requesting a teaser/etc (just please don't be demanding, i have a job and life and writing 10-20k takes like 30-60 hours and while i love doing it, time is a finite resource). but yeah, if you pop into my inbox asking about the upcoming chapter, you never know what you might get based on how chatty i'm feeling that day
boundaries re content creation: (you didn't actually ask this but i've gotten questions along this line in the past, so i'm answering it here so info is in one place haha, sorry to use you) i'm totally fine with and excited about people making any non-fanfic art/media/etc they want based on ly! i feel a bit weird about the idea of people writing their own scenes/fics/whatever based on the fic though (even tho, yeah, i get it, i'm writing fanfic too), because i've got a really strong sense of what's ly canon and the idea of someone trying to add to that canon and me not agree makes me itchy haha
