i really like characters who believe they're the last of their species, whether correct in that assumption or not. something about being the only one left, having to carry your grief of losing your entire world on your shoulders, grieving for your friends and family but also for everyone else because there is nobody left but you. you are responsible for telling the story of millions because there is nobody else to do it. holding on to your memories as tight as you can because they're all you have left. and once you are gone there will be nobody else to remember those that have been lost. representing a dead world becoming your entire identity because that is the only way to make sure people remember them.

Supplemental.

Lyffrasir has brought in an artifact he thinks might be connected to what we do here. I think he's trying to distract me. He assured me it was harmless when he put it directly on my desk and told me to take a look. It looks to be a black box, though I've never heard of 'the Ratatosk express'. It also appears to belong to someone by the name of Odin. A name I've only ever heard in Norse mythology. Besides the labels, the thing itself looks to be tampered with by a child who likes gears and thought it their canvas.

[He pauses, then sighs.]

But Lyff has proven to be trustworthy and thorough in his research and besides that I'm sure there's a good reason he works with the police.

[Jon sounds softer now.]

I've looked through the recordings. Lyffrasir, he... He wasn't joking. The... The things it's captured, they're... Disturbing. It starts off fine, just... Just fine and then two people interfere with what should be the engine, but is some sort of ritual. And then... The whole thing changes to all sorts of colours and shades and everyone is stretched and and twisted and merged into eachother and ripped to shreds and there is not a single survivor. All in the train is blood and horrors beyond my understanding. And Odin, or who I assume to be Odin, sits at the head of the train, in her carriage, as she warps away until she's unrecognisable. I-- I don't know how Lyffrasir handed this to me so calmly. I assume they've looked through it themselves and-- And... The colours... The colours in the train remind me of their... That doesn't matter. I'll... Talk to Lyff about this.

Ranking the mechs in order of how nice they are to cuddle from worst to best

Toy Soldier- it is wood, there are splinters, it is also quite loud, don't get me wrong I would still cuddle it but objectively it would probably be painful

Ivy- I love her but any surface you cuddle with her on must be covered in books so she doesn't get board and books aren't very comfy

Brian- okay now he has some good points, probably very warm, would not stab you while you're resting, this however is overwhelmed by the fact that he is metal

Raph-I think if you can get Raphella to sit down long enough to cuddle you it would be nice but she seems very energetic and probably would only be able to do it very much

Lyf- complains a lot but the shifting glowing hues of their hair and eyes make a good night light

Tim- nothing inherently bad about cuddling him I suppose I legit just can't imagine him agreeing to it? That's why he's near the center of this scale

Marius- I think he'd probably love cuddling, might sing you to sleep but he definitely sings something too loud and chaotic, "marius, sing to me?" "Sure..... ODIN THERE WILL BE NO MORE OF YOUT MISRULE"

Jonny- he will lay down only if you get him to tell a story or get him on a tangent and guide him to a laying down surface but then he'll just talk, sometimes sweet sometimes scary but it'd be like oddly soothing plus you get to hear the steady ticking of his heart and if you like click noises that pretty fun

Ashes- ASHES O'REILLY IS VERY GOOD TO CUDDLE like probably runs very warm, has the ability to chill, probably has scented candles in their room 10/10 cuddles

Nastya- look at her!

Look me in the eye and tell me that she doesn't give the best cuddles
