Hiii<3
First of all, congrats on 500!!✨ And let me take this chance to tell you how much I love your writing. You're one of my favourite writers on this fandom!! 😳
So, umm, I was scrolling through your wips (that I love) and I'm kinda stuck between requesting more infos about the the first one (criminalist alastair and detective thomas, you say? I'm involved) and asking for an excerpt from 'I could forgive you, then (for never seeing it coming)' (I've read the summary twice and I can't stop thinking about it)
So, choose what you prefer!! if you want to do both, I'd be more than happy :')
Anyway, congrats again!! <3
babe you are going to make me cry alskdfd thank you so so much
ok so for the first one: alastair is 28 and works as a medical examiner/criminalist. he got into criminology after his father went through an extensive trial and conviction when he was 17 (which is an important plotline in the story). he's been working for acpd (alicante city police department) for years and has gotten used to the flow of things. thomas is also 28 and just moved from another department to acpd. he got into investigative work after barbara was killed when he was 16 (which is a semi-important plotline lol). they're brought together for a murder i'm still plotting, but i do know that it will involve plenty of late nights, lots of coffee runs, and a LOT of bonding.
christopher will also make an appearance, as will cordelia and eugenia and possibly kamala as well.
i'm going to try to make as much of it as forensically correct as possible, but there will be some creative liberties taken lol.
i'm considering making it into a series too 👀 but i won't know for sure until i finish the first 'book' if you will
for icfyt:
The phone rang three times—each more terrifying than the last—before Alastair’s voice spilled from the speaker. “Well, this is unexpected.”
It didn’t sound quite right. The distance robbed it of its dips and curves, the playfulness Thomas had come to associate it with so closely.
“Yeah, I know,” Thomas told him, rolling over on his bed so he was lying flat on his back. “Just… didn’t want the hassle of typing, I guess.” It wasn’t what he wanted to say. He wanted to say I missed your voice. He wanted to say I missed you.
A sort of rustling came from Alastair’s end, and Thomas wondered if he wasn’t doing the same thing, taking up that position they both knew so well. There were no cracks in the ceiling here for Thomas to make patterns out of, but that didn’t matter.
“How’s your break going, otherwise?” Thomas asked. “You know, besides the sword-slinging menace taking up residence with you?”
Alastair barked a laugh, surprising Thomas. “It’s been fine. We’re in France right now, a little outside Paris. Cordelia’s promised to take me into the city and show me all the sights.”
“I’m sorry, did you just say you’re in Paris?”
“I said we’re just outside Paris, nitwit.”
