opening the box of nearly identical black and red heteropterans and shoving my hand in there to pull out and reveal Lygaeus equestris, a common european species. it may not look as whimsical as Corizus or have spooky eye markings like Pyrrhocoris but those wings are much flashier. it's probably also worth mentioning that the box of nearly identical black and red heteropterans has like a thousand other guys in there that i can't keep track of
