1. How I feel about this character:
An angel. Must be protected at all costs. I love Lyon’s growth. He’d still fight Gray, no question, but they’re really like bros and I appreciate that. Confident (to a fault--*cough* deliora *cough*). But, especially in the later seasons, he’s pure and good and would die for his friends--especially Juvia. We love that.
2. People I ship romantically with this character:
b. Juvia, no question. Their relationship would be so sweet and so pure. Lyon would do anything for Juvia, he would treat her like the true queen she is. Not to mention their babies would be BEAUTIFUL??? I’m like... okay frosty blue hair? and big blue eyes... or maybe they have Lyon’s eyes? IDK i just love them a lot.
3. Favorite non-romantic relationship:
Oof... hmmm... I’ll probably have to say Gray. 😂 I love that they’re like brothers. Big DMC vibes in galuna island arc. Or should it be big galuna island vibes in dmc 3? Honestly, as I write I’m realizing I could say pretty much the same thing about Gray and Lyon as I did about Dante and Vergil in my other post. Less dramatic tho, and less blood.
Lyon and Gray are less foils of one another I think--but the contrast is still there. They both went through the same tragedy--the death of their mentor, who was really a mother figure to both of them--and they came out on two different paths. Bro maybe I just really vibe with that type of two characters from the same background mirroring each other ... thing...
4. My unpopular opinion about this character:
Hmmm... lmao is my unpopular opinion that I like him better than Gray. 🙃 Or that, I think I would like him better with Juvia than I like Gray with Juvia. 🙃 (I still like Gruvia, y’all, but...) 😌
5. One thing I wish would happen to this character in canon:
Okay but in all seriousness, maybe an actual serious conversation between him and Gray about Ultear and Ur??? hellloooo????? Especially Ultear, I feel like Lyon got no closure. The boys really need to just talk about how basically they lost their mother.
Also, what about a serious conversation between him and Juvia. If Juvia’s heart is really set on Gray (which I think it is) why don’t they sit down and talk about that? She could tell him her true feelings. And Lyon could tell her he wants her to be happy, and he respects her decision. (He basically says this at the GMG ball, but like... there was no conversation. We were robbed).
LOL I love the whole Lamia Scale squad 😂 Yuka, Toby, and Chelia (Sherria??? Idek anymore). I love seeing them interact in the GMG arc (my FAVORITE arc by far).
