Recipe share - Winter-Spiced Eggnog (with or without alcohol). Eggnog 🎄is one of my favourite Christmas recipes. I make it from a thin, homemade custard, spiced with the smells and tastes of winter, the added smoothness of bourbon 🥃 (I use @lyresspiritco non-alcoholic American Malt) and topped generously with whipped cream and cinnamon. Use whichever bourbon or rum or non-alcoholic version thereof that you prefer. If you’d rather not include either, you could still have a spiced, drinkable custard - just substitute it with whole milk. Some love eggnog, others loathe it. *Free sample/ PR post* I finally found time in between school, soccer run, fam and hubs time to play around with the incredible, award-winning non-alcoholic spirits @lyresspiritco sent me. They sent me their non-alcoholic Amaretti and Coffee Royale. So, naturally, I thought that a Tiramisu layered cake would be a great way to incorporate those flavours! I made a light genoise sponge, soaked it in an espresso and coffee royale mix then layered it with chocolate crumb and sweetened amaretti marscapone cream. The result of using these spirits was spectacular. My eldest kid is a bit of a tiramisu eating expert and I got her approval. I have bought Lyre’s and have loved cooking as baking with it - my fave one is the American Malt - I use it instead of whiskey or bourbon - go check out my previous posts.
