I believe I saw in one of your writings that Lysandre now has a son? Can we get more about that? That’s such a cute concept after everything that has happened
René is a sweetheart who is utterly more reserved due to how everyone seems to view him. His resemblance to his father in his prime is no secret – and thus, people tend to realise just who he is related to and treat him badly. Yet, he holds no real ill-will. Lysandre insists that it is his fault, and if anyone should be the target of his ire, it should be him. René hardly can do such a thing. He utterly adores the father he knows.
Grisham and Griselle are quite attached to him. They know the boy is going through it truly unjustly. Plus, there is some unfortunate lingering idolisation of Lysandre within them – so, his son receives it. They want to help encourage him to become a kind man. He tends to help out at the café when he's older and is a bit of a favourite sight. He basically views them like older siblings.
Sycamore completely adores the boy; learning Lysandre was alive was enough, but knowing that he had almost returned back to the man he knew – one of passion – made him happy. And, of course, René caught his attention. He already accidentally became a father figure to many a child, so what is another. Lysandre lingering around made the painful five years more bareable. He happily gifts the boy a PokeDex and encourages him to explore the beauty of Kalos.
Lysandre struggles with his own feelings. He is unworthy to have anything so happy, but it would be cruel to deny this child a father. The adoration René naturally holds towards him makes him nervous, yet it hardly is the same idolising reverence from Team Flare. Instead, he can see that René wishes to be the best parts of himself. He can only encourage that, happy to be seen so plainly. He is fiercely protective of him, too. The old self alight with a desperation to protect his child from painful, ugly things. Though, he also realises that is impossible.
Corbeau is stunned Lysandre reproduced. The boy is utterly a splitting image of his father. Some small part of him is envious – seeing the father figure he held for so many years gently handling a younger child. That adoration in his eyes. He has to step away. Though, he does not hate him. René speaks about his father's ambitions to better this world in a better way – a more feasible way. Unconsciously, he takes the boy under his wing. Rust Syndicate grunts follow at a distance in Lumiose. Any attacks on him resulting in a fierce retaliation from his group.
He becomes a beloved child to those who can see past the Flare connection. There is a strong sense of justice in him that results in a person who desires a world that no one has to suffer unjustly in. His father could not be more happy with who he becomes.
