tryinb to read daredevil fanfic for frank but they always add the avengers and i find literally all of the avengers (at least mcu) fucking unbearably insufferable. how the hell am i supposed to make it to murdock and frank dickin down when i have to read a single sentence about "tony" or "bucky" or "steve" or "natasha"

okay so i was just googling the ages of various batman characters, right? and. was anyone gonna tell me there were like 4 robins? and that one of them is 11?? and that bruce is currently in his fifties???

LMFAOOOOOO YEAH and like depending what comics you read i think they can be kinda dif ages too

like dick is always oldest, jason is 2nd oldest, tim next and then damien but like in jasons comics hes at least 21 rn BUT in a lot of stuff hes still depicted as like a teenager. its wiiild. i dont read comics tho, i just amass knowledge through context clues

- i guess two moons in that i read sage's vampire/dominions lore. tbh i dont do basically any research. OH i have to look up coke for cocaine jesus

- wont say exact but theres a fic where a character gets hospitalized and i wrote it as a direct incident from my own life because enough time had passed that i was finally trying to process it

- possibly either the beginning scene of Two Moons, or the scene in like ch5 of maple syrup where jason and roy look at the stars and tell each other about themselves

genuine question: would you recommend homestuck to an adult who has never read it before? ive seen posts about it for years but have avoided getting into it because of its sheer volume. also the art style and some of the vocabulary used is, um, a *choice*. is it worth it?

honestly, probably not. i feel like it's kinda comparable to smplive in that when it was running and when i consumed it, it meant a lot and i personally really enjoyed it and would love if all my friends got into it...

but homestuck is super long, and as much as i think the story and characters are genuinely good, i was super into it in middle school. thats not to say i dont enjoy it just as much now, but like (bro my cat just threw up wth) the plot is really convoluted.

it's a lot of fun, and if you have the free time you might really like it, but it's not a must-read/play/watch imho
