SL035 The Final Abdication of Elisa Lam by Sean Kilpatrick & M Kitchell Available now at Solar▲Luxuriance http://solarluxuriance.com/elisalam.html I. Elisa Lam Deposition by Sean Kilpatrick II. Invisible Light Agency by M Kitchell "In February 2013, the body of Elisa Lam, a 21-year-old Canadian student, was found inside one of the water supply tanks on the hotel roof. Lam went missing January 31, and her decomposed body was discovered on February 19 by a maintenance worker in one of the rooftop water tanks of Los Angeles' Cecil Hotel, after guests had complained about low water pressure and water that 'tasted funny'. Authorities later ruled Lam's death as an accidental drowning. Video surveillance footage taken from inside an elevator showed Lam acting strangely, pressing multiple elevator buttons, hiding in the corner of the elevator, and waving her arms wildly, causing widespread speculation about the cause of her death."
SOLAR▲LUXURIANCE NOVEMBER RELEASES
SL032 - Sacramento by Meghan Lamb http://solarluxuriance.com/sacramento.html A short novel that deals with the experiences of two separate women in different time periods—the 19th century around the time of the Gold Rush and the present. The contrasting narratives speak obliquely and honestly on the nature of relationships.
SL033 - Apart From by M Kitchell http://solarluxuriance.com/apartfrom.html A queering of Mallarmé’s Igitur and an exploration of a radical “outsideness." Also available with a bonus "Apart From Notebook" including quotations, essays, pre-writing, and photographs that lead to the work.
SL034 - This Mutilated Woman's Head by Aurora Linnea http://solarluxuriance.com/mutilated.html A spectacle of form that interrogates what it means to experience Girlhood through the fantastique.
