i wanna share something that I wrote while I was m-shifting. I honestly think that its super cool, and is such a good way to become more aware on how you can feel m-shifted, and understand it for yourself.
(Hey there's blood, guts, dead animals, killing animals, and it talks of animal sickness in here. Wouldnt recommend reading if these trigger you in any way.)
been sort of afraid to explore the coyote part of me that I feel really drawn to.
Ive been a cougar for so long, but now I'm questioning if I'm actually something more. Maybe being a cougar was a copinglink? I don't know :/
This dumb question has been lingering for awhile now, I've always wondered why it didn't feel like an effortless release when I mental shifted into a cougar. It felt.... forced.
Not a wolf, that's a past life of mine actually. I spent a lot of time looking into it.
Ill have to ask Frostbane to help me understand more. Perhaps Frostbane has been a spirit guide that manifested within me for some time to help me awaken to my nonhumanity.
But I'm just not sure :/
saw my arms in the corner of my vision... for some reason my brain couldn't identify them and I felt the urge to just remove them. Idk it just felt so so odd to have my paws typing on a keyboard, my hairless paws and arms nonetheless.

had to shake myself, to remove both the feeling and the ideas 💀
belief is incredibly powerful.
(originally posted on my Amino, uploaded here for people who need it!)
Let's talk a bit about belief, and how it can affect your journey!
Believe it (or not that's fine lol) belief can have an interesting effect on how you perceive your progress, and how you react to it.
Sometimes we even hold beliefs that we didn't even know we had! Like, for the longest time I believed that I wasn't good enough to shift and actually BE an animal physically, because everyone else could do it. Little things like that, that you don't even know exist within your mind can sometimes be a butthead and stop you from shifting >:|
For example! If you believe that you aren't getting any results from shifting and persist in this idea without doubting it, you may find your results feeling less effective and start to believe you aren't shifting at all (I've been there lol)
Now I'm not telling you that believing one thing or the other will completely destroy your shifting journey, and you MUST believe with all of your heart that you are shifting! It's okay to have doubts or a change in mindset, don't get hellbent on trying to change and fix your mindset the second it slips from what you want it to be. You are focusing on the WRONG thing if you are too busy trying to fix your mindset to be positive and uplifting and think nothing bad.
(it's okay to think negatively! It's not the end of the world if you have doubts or believe one thing or another at times.)
Instead, reflect. Ask yourself WHY you believe one thing or another, and even how you came to this conclusion. Sometimes you won't know the answer and that's alright. Perhaps you need a break, or lately you've been in a slump.
Just know that beliefs aren't permanent, and mindset isn't permanent either! It can and will change as time goes on, so do not fret that you feel like "you don't believe that you are shifting enough" Its just how you PERCEIVE your shifts, not that they aren't happening. (You can still shift if you aren't obsessed with it, you can still shift when you aren't focusing on it, etc.)
So yes, your belief can affect how you perceive your shifts, and can obviously affect your progress, but know that it isn't permanent. Sometimes you won't notice these beliefs emerge, and that's okay don't worry about it. You have your whole life to shift, it isn't going to up and run away from you just because you think one thing or the next.
Take this information as you will, and thank you for reading! This is just my personal experience with shifting and believing, I know I've been doing a lot of these posts lately.
A bit about me, currently I'm going to hop back into rereading my research on shifting as a whole, and hopefully get into working on mental flares and being able to mental shift on command. I'll be sure to share my results, and my methods as I come across them. (I've been really busy with school and other things such as scrolling on pinterest that I forget I'm actually wanting to shift-)
Anyways, bye, and thanks for reading once again!
Since cougars are related to other smaller cats such as cheetahs, do you ever feel a sense of familiarity, relatedness or kinship with other members of the cat family? Or is it only cougars?
oh yeah definitely.
I feel more closely connected with housecats and wildcats in particular, but the rest of the felis and panthera tree feels like distant cousins that I once shared a fondness with.
thank you for asking anon! I never considered this sort of thing before so it's nice to think about it ^^
lets play with a moss ball together!!
