are shifts while you sleep a thing????
my boyfriend told me last night, that while i was sleeping i was making dog sounds lol that's so much fun, im a dog even when im asleep!!! idk i thought it was a fun experience to share:) idk if sleep shifts are a thing but i am definitely a dog through and through:)
I hate mental shifting in public sm. Please I don’t belong here but I need to pretend I do. It’s so horrifying and I had to get out of the store and hide nearby for two hours. I wish I never left the house yesterday I was in so much physical pain and the fact I shifted just tells me I pushed myself way too far.
A sentiment I see a LOT across alterhuman+ spaces (mostly younger folks, but not always!) is folks worried about their identities fading, changing, not shifting as much, or are not putting as much energy into their identities. Folks are always asking how to “fix” themselves and how to force themself to shift more/etcetc.
I just want to put it out there and say, you aren’t broken! Identities ebb and flow and change throughout our lives and that is totally okay. this goes for any self identification, but I find it especially relevant here. If you feel yourself start to change, try and let it happen. attempting to cling onto something that you’re not in that moment is only going to make things worse. I know people who have identified for years as one species before suddenly changing halfway through their life, I know people who change identities on a regular basis, and I see almost every member of this community go through periods of connection and disconnection from their alterhumanity. It’s all completely normal and not something to be worried or ashamed about, and it doesn’t even mean that you were wrong before. I know it’d be so much easier if things stayed stagnant, but change will happen whether you want it to or not.
If you are ever concerned about the status of your identity, my dms are always open, my comments are always open. We’ll get through the changes together, okay? 🤝
Hey alterhumans, need ya help. Would it be crazy to say I’m a puppy with wings?
For a longggg time I’ve yearned for the sky and have felt phantom wings similar to when I feel a phantom snout, I think, pretty much since I was very little. I’ve been trying to go through all kinds of creatures with wings to see if I’m kinning anything else, but I really just don’t think I’m anything other than a puppy. Nothing else feels right. Can I kin smth like that? Kinning a puppy with wings? Is there a name for this??
(Sorry if any of the terms I used are wrong, I get a little confused sometimes!)
I love when I’m falling asleep and I suddenly get a shift
it’s usually my paws, specifically my feet
I’ll be laying down and I just feel my paws suddenly and it’s so calming :3
does anyway else get this?!
Shower time is awesome bc I get to put on nature sounds n sit under the shower water like it’s a waterfall n close my eyes and go chill doggy mode. And then after I get to shake off which is very affirming. Very relaxing 10/10

Sometimes being a wolf looks like refusing to eat anything with grapes or onions in it but being totally fine with eating a dark chocolate bar once a week.
And that’s ok.
