The Last Princess of Khaenri'ah's Eclipse Dynasty roams the surface centuries after the cataclysm. Celestia knows not that she has survived.
Paimon and Lumine decide to visit those that they think may have been affiliated with the royal.
Note: In Aether's voiceline, say Lumine asked him in the short span of their reunion.
Albedo
✤ — It is certainly pleasant to have met her at appropriate times. Although Master promised me an audience with her centuries prior, it hadn't come, since the Kingdom had fallen into ruins not long after.
I wasn't expecting to meet Her Royal Highness at Dragonspine at all, but it was a surprise that's welcomed. After all, she has evaded both curse and death.
It appears that she's become immortal, too.. but I cannot be too sure for my data remains insufficient. Her Royal Highness often visits me at my camp, perhaps I should ask her sometime.
I am a little reluctant, however... I fear I may unsettle her with such questions. I'd rather not her be uncomfortable in my presence.
Dainsleif
✤ — Princess [Name]... I was almost certain that she had perished along with the royal family, but—she's alive. And safe. I'm assuming that she had been rescued by Aether, I'm surprised that I hadn't known at all.
Although that's to be expected... I almost did not register the hostility in her eyes from when she came out of that portal. It was foreign.
Until now I can clearly remember when she had been seeking my presence after her father, the King's, demise. The reminder is still chilling.
What we supposedly had in the past, whatever that may be.. regret and lament as I do, it's futile to hope that it'll return.
Kaeya
✤ — I must say, it is odd to have the same lady watch me over from when I was a child. But I suppose that is how our relationship blossomed?
I'm flattered that Her Royal Highness trusts me enough to speak of bygone—perhaps even forbidden—tales of her country. In turn, I can only vow to her that I will be her sword if necessary.
Little few know that she remains alive up to this day. I heard that only a select few in her refuge, wherever that is, knows the truth of her case. I've been included in that small ratio. My lips are sealed, so should yours, Traveler.
To Her Highness, glory will return. In time.
Venti
✤ — You saw-.. ! Ah, then there's no mistaking it, is there? That girl I saw during my performance... it's the Princess. I refused to believe it even when she confirmed her status, but there is no denying reality.
She's alive. She really is and- what?
.. Where do I stand now that I am no longer linked with Celestia, you ask? Hehe, you're rather insistent in knowing. Have you asked the old buffoon about the same thing?
Hm? If I wanted to speak with her... what would I say?
Well, Traveler, some verses are better left untold, don't you think?
Zhongli
✤ — As you know by now, I am honoring a contract that forbids me from speaking more than necessary, but Princess [Name]...
I've only seen tapestries and paintings of her from when the nation was at its prime, but I met her not too long ago personally. She does not look any different from how artists have painted her in beauty and grace.
Though something is new now. Her stare lacks the warmth they had in the paintings. It is upsetting..
And I do acknowledge that.. part of the blame rests upon the original Seven's shoulders.
Abyss Prince!Aether
✤ — You want to know about... I see. [Name] is one of the last royals of Khaenri'ah before it crumbled. She had been calling for Dainsleif, her own Knight, moments before doom, but he didn't come.
I saved her and she's been by my side ever since.
Regrets? No, I have none.
... You're mistaken, sister. Even if her nation is gone, [Name]'s still a Princess to this day.
She rules the Abyss.

Hah, is that so...
Well, Gunnhildr has retreated past the couloir this dawn, I suppose it won't be of any harm to know who precisely this bold, nameless lady is. In the meantime, you there, have the General take over the operation plans.
Now, where were we?
—
The 'Bloodthorned Queen', you say. A noblewoman who had just debuted the past year is now the monarch of Khemia and has sent numerous aristocrats to the gallows just a few weeks into her rule...
What feat.
How do I perceive this? Look at this gall of yours, daring to ask me a question. Did I permit you to? I ought to sever your tongue—but for delighting me with this news, I will not.
Ahah, but the Queen... she's a stalwart lady, isn't she? Maybe presumptuous, or, no... perhaps ambitious.
After all, don't most nobles in all their fatuity and avarice hanker for the supremity of the crown?

But then again, aside from the two of us, those sitting at the throne are still those old bastards who have brought ruin upon a history forgotten to all.
Of course, this does not exclude Khemia from the list of Kingdoms that must surrender into submission. Perhaps a little stalling would do, though.

A traveling noble from afar visits the Kingdom of Khemia and wonders about its sovereign. The rumored Bloodthorned Queen, just how is she, really?
Kazuha
✤ — Good afternoon, I've been sent by her Majesty to escort you to the parlor. Shall we-... oh? You ask about our Queen so brazenly...
... Very well. The Queen lives up to her reputation, so I suggest you keep a low profile, if you acquire her attention it'll be difficult to wring your way out of it.
Her Majesty will not care if you are from a neighboring Kingdom—if you, in some way, manage to upset her... the nicest thing she'll do is to let you depart with a warning. In other cases, it'll be... yes.
But don't worry, continue about with your day. Her Majesty is not easily pressed and I am by her side to... lessen casualties, one can say. Even so, she is not rash, she thinks well of the ramifications that may come, after all—so I can assure your safety.
Still, it is best to caution yourself.
Hm? Oh, of course, do not let it concern you. I will keep our conversation a secret from Her Majesty, have a pleasant stay.
Xingqiu
✤ — Greetings, my liege, are you perhaps here on an invitation? It isn't often that the Queen entertains guests from neighboring Kingdoms other than Prince Ragnvindr.
Oh, you are! Then may you have a—... pardon? Please lower your voice, my liege-! It isn't wise to ask such a question in the palace!
You wish to know about the Queen's diplomacy?
... To be frank, although her Majesty's trail is macabre, her wit is unmistakable. Exclude the matter of execution and tyranny, she's beyond exemplary in diplomatic matters. It's almost vexing, to be honet, why couldn't she just be in a single spectrum of devilry?
It's difficult to opine on someone who doesn't hesitate to shed blood yet is meticulous with the handling of her nation.
Our Kingdom has become twice as rich months into her reign after ridding of corruption. Although her people live in fear, they are more than aware that the state of the Kingdom is in good hands... at the very least.
Bennett
✤ — Hey there, sir! Welcome to the Knights' barracks! It's just recently that the Queen opened this for visitors. Would you like to watch some of the squads?
I'm pretty good with the blade myself, hehe! Hm? You're not here to watch-? Oh, you need my help? Sure! In what way can I extend my aid?
... T-the Queen-!? Shoot, that was a little loud, wasn't it? Did someone hear-
Ah no, it's just- unexpected... but you ask about her treatment of us? That came out of nowhere, but, um...
Nothing changed much after her Majesty took the throne other than the strict implementation of our new regime. A lot came forward to grow as knights and even some of the mercenaries in the local guild signed up!
We are handled and paid accordingly without bias. Is... is that enough information for you?
Huh? You want to know more!? We... need to be somewhere without these many ears, if that's the case...
Alatus
✤ — You have quite the courage. Noble or not, are you aware that speaking of the Queen behind her back counts as treason? To think that you came to ask someone such as I, as well.
.. Tsk, don't worry, I was merely jesting. I understand your concern—in fact, it is a good thing that I am the one you have approached out of everyone else.
Now, what about her Majesty.. ? Oh yes. I despise her, that is all you need to know about my personal sentiments.
Each time she entertains a guest from some place, everyone is fearful about the possibility of war. Her Highness does not hold back her words no matter the status of the one she's speaking to, after all.
She's blunt, but strangely careful.
I would've believed that she's yearning for a war had I not accompanied her to Kuni with the intention to solve the problems both Kingdoms had way before she stole the Crown.
Ah? You ask if it's alright for me to be so nonchalant in saying this? Don't be scared on my behalf.
The Queen knows of my hatred, I assure you of it.
Diluc
✤ — This is a sight to see. I'm not expecting to see a familiar face roaming this Palace out of plenty others, pray tell, what are you doing in a place like this?
Invited? I understand. If you so wish, I can join you if it means ridding your anxiety. The Queen is a formidable lady despite the smiles she wears.
... Oh. You've heard of it already, I see. My engagement to her Majesty.
Indeed, I am highly against it, but—there are matters that prevent the nullification of the contract. As of now, I am looking into it myself, for I will do anything to sever my ties with this Kingdom.
Her Majesty is more than cognizant of this predicament of mine, yes... if anything, I'd say she reaps amusement from this accursed issue.
Childe
✤ — Well, well. I hoped I was hearing things, but turns out I wasn't! What's a little rat doing scurrying around asking about her Majesty , [Name]?
That simply won't do! If you are a threat to the Queen, I'll have no choice but to silence you myself. Hm, what's that? Heh.
Her Majesty may appear like so, but that's understandable—shallow people like you and the rest can never understand her. Ultimately, not a single one of you was there to watch her grow into who she is now, yes?
Now, where was I? Ah yes—I wonder what casualty report should be sent into your noble house. You should worry. This will hurt a lot—
.. My Queen! What brings you to this area? I was simply—.... I understand.
Alright, you heard her Majesty, did you not? Scurry back, you fortunate fellow.

✤ — Characters: Diluc, Xingqiu, Childe
Humans are really a sight to behold, aren't they? And a mystery to crack. You would think that they'd do everything in their power to circumvent danger, but they don't.
At the very least, not the sane ones, that's for sure.
Because if there is anyone—there are a couple of them—bold enough to ask for your hand in marriage, they are all either masochistic by nature, or insane. Surely, they are aware of your reputation?
Surely, they know that they're talking to someone who won't even hesitate to kill them if they are lackluster and boring? They do, actually.
So why in heavens name are they offering you gifts and lavish souvenirs when they are aware that their blood may as well spill the palace floors?
It's bemusing regardless of the prior astonishment, of course.
With piqued interest, you often ask why they decide to ask for your hand, out of every female royal that isn't as wretched as you are.
Various answers of varying significance.
Some wish to share the wealth and resources of Khemia. This proposal, of course, comes from the Kingdom's many allies.
Meanwhile, as for the rest, they simply wish to rule—and see you as a suitable partner. Oh, the desire for the Crown is understandable, very much so.
You can't help but humor them a little, to the fear and chagrin of the royal court.
One leg over the other, you pinch the fabric of your gown, tuning out the words of Prince Ragnvindr as he discusses future plans regarding his 'situation'.
Since it is a matter involving finance and territory, present in the council are Xingqiu, Exchequer's Chancellor, and Childe, a major noble in handling geopolitical affairs.
It astounds you, Diluc's eagerness to cut off all ties with Khemia, though you suppose you can't find a fault in that.
The Sun Prince turns as cold and grim as a moon in the silent night whenever in your Kingdom. What a shame, you heard his smile is quite the dazzling one.
A knock on the door is followed by your permission to let them enter, and your servant steps in with a bow.
"Your Majesty, your Highness, sirs," the silverette bows before turning his attention towards you, "My Queen, another one has shown up asking for you... this seems grander than the rest."
"Oh? Well, let's get going then, shall we? Do accompany me."
"As her Majesty wishes."
Diluc can only look on in sheer bewilderment as you rise from the grand settee, making no moves to even look his way and the papers he's set containing the scheduled timeline.
She cannot be serious, right? He wonders, but the Queen proceeds to leave the room without a word. What discourtesy.. !
"Your Majesty—"
"Oh, your Highness, pardon me—but I failed to settle my attention on trivial things such as these," says the regal female, stopping by the threshold of the room.
She then turns back to look at him with a tiny, demonic smile on her ironically angelic features.
"I'm not interested in learning of your plans to settle your father's debt. Do what you must, I am only concerned about whether you can meet the deadline or not."
Her giggle resounds in the room, mocking the shocked and offended look on the prince's face.
"Feel free to discuss it with them, though, they'll be more than willing than I am to listen."
Without batting an eye, the Queen leaves with her servant in tow, only the gentle shut of the doors being able to take the prince out of his bewildered stupor.
He can't believe this.
All his desperation—only to face indifference? Ah, no, the Queen did say she simply didn't care about the process... oh this is making his head hurt.
"Do pardon her Majesty, your Highness," Childe is the first to speak up after the departure of their sovereign, his smile placating. "These kinds of 'visits' entertain her the most."
He looks a little peeved.
Visits, the foreign prince mulls over. Kaedehara said this one was grander than most...
"In what aspect is it bemusing enough for her Majesty to drop an important discussion such as this?" all but demands Diluc as he brings up his teacup, hoping it'd be enough to appease his nerves.
Xingqiu answers this time around, looking resigned and a little shameful. It makes the royal wonder over the reason why-
"Her Majesty has been entertaining her line of suitors, your Highness. It just so appears that one has come with a gift that's resplendent enough to pique her curiosity."
Diluc almost chokes on his tea.
Diluc
✤ — I can't believe this. Not like this poses as a problem for me, heavens no, I care little about her Majesty's stand on romance.
If anything, I am rather at ease knowing that she has little interest in me. All she sees me as is a trophy, payment for the debt my father has accumulated, after all.
Relief is an understatement.
What I can't stand, however, is the fact that she's prompt to dismiss my efforts to inform her of my plans. And to give a sliver of her time to her men?
She is aware that we are 'engaged' on paper, no? What a detrimental thing for her prestige.
Not like it hasn't already reached rock bottom. Oh well.
Xingqiu
✤ — The court's always been tense, but these days it just got worse. I'm inclined to believe it's because her Royal Majesty has begun to entertain the proposals of her suitors.
Although we do not doubt that she's cognizant of her engagement with his Highness, Prince Ragnvindr, it's terrifying to consider the Queen being wed to someone accepting of rule by oppression.
If I'm going to be honest, most of the nobles wish for the engagement to continue... at least then we know that the Prince will be at our side.
Ah—assassinate... his Highness?! Oh, I don't think the Queen will do that.
I strongly feel that her Majesty does not feel threatened by the Prince, so she won't resort to such methods.
Childe
✤ — Hah, of course, of course! It's natural for her Majesty to acquire a hefty amount of suitors.
Why, when she first debuted into nobility, there are already plenty asking for her hand! They're all turned down, of course. The Duke wasn't having any of it.
All these, though? I'm surprised many weren't able to connect the dots, then again, they're too busy worrying over the possibility of the Queen marrying someone of equal stature.
Some of these suitors are assassins and spies. Why do you think the Queen invites them to a private space and they never set foot back in the palace again?
And just now, Kazuha informed her Majesty of yet another suitor... mm, I wonder how this will turn out.

A/N: WELL HERE IT IS-
It is seldom for you to leave the Kingdom for you've managed to keep foreign interdependence intact without the need for meetings.
Yet, this particular Kingdom has always been on thin ice with Khemia long before you have taken the throne. A war is a possibility.
Aware that even the previous King has made time to visit the foreign nation, you've to go ahead and do the same thing if you wish to keep Khemia to yourself.
A war is far from one what you want in the first place—despite putting your initial focus on military power—unless, of course, threatened.
So, set at the season of spring, you left the Kingdom in the careful care of your brother, accompanied with a retinue smaller than usual.
You do not plan to stick around in a foreign nation for too long.
To your complete and utter surprise, however, the second you arrive at the Kingdom of Kuni, its sovereign is nowhere to be found—and understandably, those left in charge are panicking.
Cognizant of the way your title is known past the borders, you needn't utter a word as they take initiative, scurrying to accommodate you. It's amusing.
A woman who goes by the name of Miko is the one to welcome you personally in the palace, lit with pretty violet flames—it's presently evening—upon the candles and chandeliers.
Such splendor for a Kingdom known for conquest. One will think at first glance that bloodshed isn't in the roots of this place.
Oh, but that'd be a little presumptuous to say... given you've risen for the Crown whilst spilling blood.
"We have arranged it best, suited for the Queen," the sly-looking lady smiles as you arrive at the door. Your lodging for the next few days and nights.
"As expected," you compliment, wearing a minute smile, "I look forward to meeting your sovereign by dawn."
She nods—not knowing that their ruler won't actually be arriving anytime soon—before turning to the pair of men three steps behind you as assigned.
The rest of your servants and retainers have already been set to do other works, from presenting the gifts you've bought to giving them their time of leisure. All that's left now are...
"And these men... your Majesty? Your guards, I believe, where would you prefer their quarters to be?"
You meet their eyes, a flick of interest seen in your [c]s before you shake your head and enter the room.
"I could care less. You may ask their preference, it is up to you."
The door shuts and the pink-haired lady is then left standing with the rest of the Queen's retinue; a blank-faced servant and a smiling—he seems mad, though—knight.
Alatus
✤ — Good evening, I'm Alatus of Khemia's Elites, the Yaksha. Thank you kindly for accommodating her Majesty in spite of our sudden arrival.
It would appear that the messenger crow sent has failed to deliver its message, do allow me to amend—... not needed? I see, well!
My gratitude, lady Miko.
... Oh, my preference, you ask?
If it isn't much of a bother, I'd like to be stationed someplace far—not too far, of course. The reason? Well—
... I beg your pardon? Harboring enmity towards her Majesty?
Hah, how bemusing. Do understand that I'm not trying to be rude, but I won't be answering that comment of yours, lady Miko.
Well then, shall we be off? I've much to do, still. And one of them is to tend to her Majesty... as ordered.
Kazuha
✤ — A wonderful night to you and the rest of Kuni, lady Miko.
Yes, our journey was nothing short of safe. The people are welcoming, I am certain that her Majesty is delighted, I assure you.
That said, I'd like my quarters to be close to the Queen, if you please. Distance by rooms does not matter, as long as this is met, then—yes, thank you kindly.
It comes without saying that in turn—
Ah, yes. I've yet to introduce myself. My apologies, lady Miko.
I'm Kaedehara Kazuha.
Hm? Oh, indeed—I am of noble blood, but the prestige of our name has dwindled in antiquity. It's not a matter that must concern you.
