Y'all know I love a good gun wall.
Battlefield Hardline (2015)
big guns :)
Still very much enjoying the Crossfire DZ-Rig
USN M16A3 The black sheep of the M16 family
This started as a spare H&R A1 Lower and a desire to do a 20" build with it and stuff I had laying around
And after a couple trades to get a few extra bits and pieces (big thanks to @themaliklucas for the upper), I now have an M16A3.
The Navy played fast and loose with the definition of an M16A3 - some had A2 uppers, some had flat tops. Some had dedicated A4 profile lowers, some had recycled A1 lowers. As long as it had a 1:7 twist 20" barrel, a full auto lower, and the most bog standard A2/A4 furniture, anything goes.
On that note, mine is far from an exact clone (being a junk drawer build and all), as I've never seen an A3 set up with a buttstock mag pouch and they always kept the FSB sling swivel from what I can tell (I'm planning on redoing the rivet on mine).
Call it creative liberty, I just wanted an M16 on the cheap to use up redundant parts lol
this one because it is a major improvement from its little brother the m4 which i made earlier i say improvement because the main base of the gun is the exact same as the m4 but this one is less wobbly the charging handle pulls back and its made from a stronger paper making it more reliable. it has full length tactical rails on the hand guard. which currently only holds rail covers on the sides. the top rail is fitted with a TA31RCO sight which is standard for the USMC. it would be chambered in 5.56 NATO.
