never ever look at the comments on a post by someone even offhandedly mentioning that they were left by their ex-husband/wife who realized they're gay

cuz a man could make the nicest "me and my ex-wife are still best buds lol here's something we did!!! ya she's a lesbian now lol" post or a woman the same thing abt an ex-husband and the comments will always have some level of "wow they LIED to you and led you on they are EVIL how can u even speak to them" even when there's no hint of resentment from the poster or insinuation that the ex-partner knew they were gay before getting into the relationship etc.

also women are just as bad about getting offended on women's behalf who were left by a gay man but if it's a man it always has this additional spin of "wow you're a cuck U couldn't waterboard this out of me XD" "ok cuck" because the idea of a man being nice to a woman he used to be married to and possibly even has kids with is just so foreign to them that it's considered emasculating?

it's such a vicious form of homophobia that will come from people who otherwise claim to not be homophobic but that they simply can't "forgive someone for wasting years of someone else's life" when that's an argument you could make about any divorce ntm many people do not realize these things about themselves until later on or may have believed they were bi etcetcetc. it's crazy. but i guess many straight people even the ones who claim to be progressive view any gay people who were once in a straight marriage as malicious and intentional deceivers who ruined some poor poor straight person's life
