Hong Kong Style Macaroni Soup (with Ham and Egg)! 🍳

In the plans shortly: a slightly unholy mashup of Hong Kong style macaroni soup, Filipino chicken sopas, and the basic hillbilly-style potato soup that I grew up on.

Which is to say that I'm going to concoct some kind of noodle soup out of chicken bouillon, a frozen boneless chicken thigh, some frozen veggies, macaroni, possibly a sliced up and lightly fried weenie Filipino styley, and pour in some plain whole milk at the end like for my own good old homestyle potato soup. We don't keep evaporated. It's hard to find here, and I never particularly liked the flavor of the stuff anyway.

The results will probably be good. It'll definitely be hot and filling, though for the sake of both nutrition and my blood sugar? I plan to go heavier on the vegetables than the noodles. Wanting plenty of protein too, which is the main reason I am considering the little sausage twist besides the thigh.

I do bet that combo would be at least as good made using potatoes instead of noodles. But, dry macaroni out of the box is more my speed in terms of cooking energy tonight.
